I have mad respect for anybody who can be the lead singer and drummer at the same time and sound just about exactly the same live, as he can on the album
"Sky High" actually peaked at #3 on the Hot 100, and #4 on the Adult Contemporary chart (both Billboard). May have done better on Cashbox's charts. Couldn't find those.
F***in' great! This is live even better than the studio version. What a great drummer and singer. Funny, it takes back-in the-day-communist Polish television to finally give us a real live version of this gem.
LOL how bout it... but why have the other two mics set up... somebody had to able to fill in the lower harmony note on hiiiiiiiiiiiiggggggghhhhhhhhh !!!
@@john111257 Would've loved to be able to experience that. I've been listening their songs to death the last couple of years. Were they as great as this performance makes them out to be?
I lived in Germany when this song came out in 1975. I would listen to it on Radio Luxembourg. One of my favourite songs from that time period. It still sounds great today. Des Dyer the singer sounds as good live as he does on the record.
That drummer was the whole band, especially how great he is as a singer while also playing tricky drumming parts. Why did those other guys in the band even have microphones?
Those were the days in the early 70s,many a good night in the Walsgrave and surrounding pubs in Coventry.Maknly a cover band band then with a bit of comedy rolled in.Always finished up the night with "Fire' by Arthur Brown.Sirens, explosion and setting fire to the organ, memories
Disco haters can choke on that hater-aid; first pyrotechnic band; best performers; and a greater influence on future "Rock" acts than will ever be admitted.
Why cover a Boz song? Did they only have one hit of their own?And what happened to the orchestra? Do they play and the band play on alternate weekends?
One of the best 70s pop songs ever
pop/disco mix

Agree 👍
Seriously!!! To keep in perfect pitch, especially on the falsetto “high” part, and drum...WOW.
Same here! Sheer respect for a lead singer to be a drummer too. Vocals and drumming are amazing! Jigsaw were a very tight band :)
@@matthewphilp6338 Singing and drumming at the same time takes a lot of concentration
dude is/was a beast!!!!
Damm he hits the high notes live. Great!
I was 9 years old in the US when this song reached no 1. I still love it no auto tune just talent. Simple and damn good.

This is the theme song for our Aussie film : the man from Hong Kong . What a brilliant song .
WHEN WE HAD GOOD SONGS 1975..

Even better.
Drum and sing at the same time!!! Awesome!!
Banda Roupa Nova também faz isso.
Great song!!!! 🎵 🎶

they sang on other tracks
They're just kind of filler, aren't they?
They are looking to get paid thanks to that drumming, singing, hero of the ages.
Lido Shuffle-Boz Scaggs. Toto in there
Great drummer/great singer!
10 years old and the best moment for great orchestras sound,Barry White and the love unlimited orchestra ❤
This version is so unique and as delicious as fresh sushi. Its melody, his voice and nice wasabi.
Good drummer singers, you can count them on one hand. A up and coming one is the young girl in The Warning band.
Karen Carpenter!
From Mexico, are they?
I was there!!! Sopot 1980. Amazing!

I always sing along to this song at work when it comes on the radio system.

After many years it's nice to know these guys can actually play. I only saw them lip-sync back in the days.
Awesome upload thanks!!!! Love this song and this is an incredible live performance of it. Nice bonus of Lido Shuffle as well!!!!!
The horns make this song come together.
Amazing...flawless live performance ❤
Such a musical gem. Love that song, I mean these songs.
Fantastic voice.
Awsome wow! They sound great really love this song
Fantastic! Thanks for the upload.
Can’t believe I found a live version! My hubby didn’t know it. How?? Loved Des! The rest of the band, not so much!

Oh daam this is sooo fantastic!!!!
Outstanding!
Great pop song and performance.
Des singer drummer excellent
great band, i saw them in the 70s
The lads from Coventry 👍🏴
Some were from Rugby, possibly our best known until James Morrison hit the charts.
Excellent video
Would love to see the audience.
Des Dyer,The most underrated drummer…
It's an exhilarating song.
oblibenec thank you so much that was awesome!
I didn’t know Clint Black and the Bee Gees covered this song🤣. Seriously, I love this song from the 70s.
So good
Where did you find this???? Amazing. I love youtube!
This was back before the wall came down. Might say shows like this helped.
I`m glad to listen to this song because all of the 50s Japanese guys were made by this song!
Fredo Corleone on guitar! Good job, Fredo!
Damn good song!
so gooooooooooooooood
ya sabia que ese tipo si cantaba! Nice!
Disco haters can choke on that hater-aid; first pyrotechnic band; best performers; and a greater influence on future "Rock" acts than will ever be admitted.
Lido Shuffle, sung by Boz Scaggs too. Toto in there
good~!!!
Des Dyer is such a cutie....love his smile.
My first rejection happened when this song came out.
Que demais
All this years, I thought Boz Scaggs did "Lido Shuffle".
Why cover a Boz song? Did they only have one hit of their own?And what happened to the orchestra? Do they play and the band play on alternate weekends?
Des 🔥
and with a cowboy hat !!!!
Yea amazing how people take it for granted
When song started bass was not ready and he was still plugging in his cable
Sopot, a tennis tournament now
Oooh dear!!!
Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles you listening? That's what class sounds like.
The ultimate one hit wonder band
My love life....
The front men are not playing or singing. It is all the drummer from the original Jigsaw.
Never knew this.
6:25 keyboards more prominent in Scaggs' version.
would have made a great james bond song.
Why is he wearing a cowboy outfit? Was that a thing in 1980?
Yes it was , Cowboy boots as well!
❤️😎👍
“The Man From Hong Kong”
There are people off stage with guns pointed at them. Just kidding the drummer singer is the whole team here.
Bass player has a bad cord, then his amp is too low until they turn it up in the 2nd verse but the drummer carries it all while singing.
So who actually sings harmonies on the original?
A true performer
It was all Des, the lead singer and drummer
