It's almost shocking how good this movie is - I loved it at first, but I think you can only get the full effect by thinking about it and seeing it again and again. Just heartbreaking sense of loneliness and vulnerability, the arrangement of songs, the rhythm and energy and excitement of putting on a show, for the performers as well as the audience (you feel like you are right there), pure love that goes beyond gender, the family of the band. And Freddie in some photos always reminded me of a silent film star, so beautiful. Someone unique and special.
I remember first seeing this 5 years ago and it was the thing that really fuelled and inspired me to progress further with my guitar playing at age 15. One of the best movies to come out of the 2010s
Dumbest shit ever. Both songs are good, one movie is not. How did she win an oscar for a song made last year cause or Queen? No corrolation. Did someone drop you on your head??
@@valeriestyles8243 Yes,he does,he nails the physical aspect....as well as one can when not doing the extra work. If he had just put on...15 pounds of muscle to get that Mercury build,i would buy into it alot more. It is a good performance, not disputing that but there is a reason Freddie Mercury was concidered a one of a kind, larger than life persona. This cat can not be cloned. Just cause Malek did as well as one could hope for doesnt mean I could completely mindfuck myself to feel I was watching Freddie himself....maybe cause Im getting up there. Writing did him no favors, this film polarized my mind. From beginning to end, this was my three thoughts. "What a solid performance. What a safe, sanitized, shitty screenplay. WHO...Is this movie for??"
@@christofferjenzen78 why do u need to be so critical abt it? just atleast appreciate their effort that they made a movie for queen specifically for freddie. malek isnt a perfect actor but no doubt he did a good job at portraying freddie.
@@valeriestyles8243I SAID Malek did as well as anyone could. Read. How old are you? Do you love movies? Queen? I do. So at times, the film is a loogie in the face. There is not gonna be another biopic about possibly the greatest band and performer of All time....and they blew it! If you knew nothing about Queen going in,somehow....you Will know even LESS coming out.Mercury deserved better so sadly....i think i wish this film did not exist. Cause of some of the worst writing this decade. Just a quick Wikipedia-read put on celluloid. What are my options, praise everything about this film or shut the fuck up? Why? You can praise it,I can critisize it. I dont think you understand the ramifications of the big picture. Not only nominating but giving someone an Oscar cause he portrays a real life persian homosexual the same year you give the other oscar to a guy portraying a real life african-american homosexual. Political correctness is killing cinema, now the message IS the movie. I would cut it alot more slack if it wasnt nominated for best picture...cause basically no one besides the academy gave it that nomination. Like i said, pandering to the gay and minority community. It should be about the movie, not sending messages. Alright? Thanks for your time.
When i watch this movie i was crying about freddie on his successfull concert on live aid...you see on his eyes his very relaxed infront of audience but in behind he was so sad
You DO REALIZE they’re only lip syncing to the original song right??!!! No originality here..........he’s NOT SINGING!!!!! The actors in the band are NOT PLAYING the actual music....... Freddie would NOT approve!!!!
I mean if you think about it. He’s not really acting. I mean sure he is but they actually really did have to perform the whole Live Aid set from start to finish so him getting in to it like he did is definitely real haha
Krutharth Vaddiyar You clearly don’t understand what I said. Rami and the cast had to actually perform the entire Live Aid set. But they put the original audio for Live Aid over the cast. Marc Martel did do some for the movie but most of it is Freddie. Trust me I’ve analyzed this movie a lot and I know that this is the actual Live Aid track but with some enhancements.

I sat in the cinema watching this with tears streaming down my face! The wife was even worse! Thank god it was dark.
I was trippin on an edbile going holy shit this is amazing
I remember walking in thinking...I’ve waited 10 years to see this scene.
my eyes were soaked, when i out I cry
I was bawling like a baby when I first watched this.
This was the last film I saw in the cinema with my dad before he passed away last year. He absolutely loved this film with a passion
I watched Bohemian Rhapsody on the plane on my way from New York to Amsterdam. I had all I could do not to clap and sing along during this part.
Oh man the emotions that are going through the minds of the original queen members sitting up there watching this 😱😁👍🤘😝🤘
My favourite part of Live Aid
3:11 is the best part of the whole concert
@queensbiggestfan your right everything is great I just thought that part was cool with what they did with the camera
Yea
Yesssss
I cried
😍😍😍😍
Tá louco...até hoje ouvindo o queen...Freddie Eterno....forever....
Such an amazing performance from rami. He transcended Freddie's energy in a awe inspiring way
LYRICS
I'd sit alone and watch your light
My only friend through teenage nights
And everything I had to know
I heard it on my radio
You gave them all those old time stars
Through wars of worlds invaded by Mars
You made 'em laugh, you made 'em cry
You made us feel like we could fly (radio)
So don't become some background noise
A backdrop for the girls and boys
Who just don't know or just don't care
And just complain when you're not there
You had your time, you had the power
You've yet to have your finest hour
Radio (radio)
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio goo goo
Radio ga ga
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio blah blah
Radio, what's new?
Radio, someone still loves you
We watch the shows, we watch the stars
On videos for hours and hours
We hardly need to use our ears
How music changes through the years
Let's hope you never leave old friend
Like all good things on you we depend
So stick around 'cause we might miss you
When we grow tired of all this visual
You had your time, you had the power
You've yet to have your finest hour
Radio (radio)
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio goo goo
Radio ga ga
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio goo goo
Radio ga ga
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio blah blah
Radio, what's new?
Someone still loves you~
vi karel replace the last radio gagas in the chorus with radio kaka
Yet radio is still going strong because cars and workplace
"Was new" at the end pro
Genial tío
It's almost shocking how good this movie is - I loved it at first, but I think you can only get the full effect by thinking about it and seeing it again and again. Just heartbreaking sense of loneliness and vulnerability, the arrangement of songs, the rhythm and energy and excitement of putting on a show, for the performers as well as the audience (you feel like you are right there), pure love that goes beyond gender, the family of the band. And Freddie in some photos always reminded me of a silent film star, so beautiful. Someone unique and special.
Las leyendas nunca mueren😔😔
Those extras musta had the time of their lives helping to recreate this incredible moment
This was the scene that made me finally cry 😭
3:08 the accuracy! And the energy from the crowds!
Rami Malek was literally born for this role
Fr
I remember first seeing this 5 years ago and it was the thing that really fuelled and inspired me to progress further with my guitar playing at age 15. One of the best movies to come out of the 2010s
Even Lady Gaga won oscar because of Radio gaga
Dumbest shit ever. Both songs are good, one movie is not. How did she win an oscar for a song made last year cause or Queen? No corrolation. Did someone drop you on your head??
Christopher Jay easy bro .. radio GAGA.. lady GAGA..
@Christopher Jay r/wooosh
Christopher Jay the lady Gaga took his name from Queen’s song Radio Gaga true story...
@@christofferjenzen78 Are you trolling or do you REALLY not realize it's a joke? Either way, you need to sit the fuck down.
He needs to win an oscar. It’s like you are seeing Freddie
No,its actually not,not even remotely on any level. Due to the Academy pandering to the LBGTQ-Community,his oscar is guaranteed,though...
@@christofferjenzen78 he got some of his moves tho
Dobre den příteli.Jsi vážně dobrý, skvělá muzika a krásné hlas.Děkuji. 👏👏👏
When i watch this movie i was crying about freddie on his successfull concert on live aid...you see on his eyes his very relaxed infront of audience but in behind he was so sad
They nailed this song. Rami well done. Freddie would be proud.
Casey G but it the same song...it’s the actual recording
c17sam90 yes I know but I’m talking about how well he did at replicating the performance
You DO REALIZE they’re only lip syncing to the original song right??!!! No originality here..........he’s NOT SINGING!!!!!
The actors in the band are NOT PLAYING the actual music.......
Freddie would NOT approve!!!!
Ed M yes I know. He still did a fantastic job.
Casey G
Acting, sure......but he doesn’t deserve all of the acclaim for lip syncing. Neither did Michael Jackson......
I love the shot of Joseph Mazzello who plays John Deacon at 3:22. He's so into it and it doesn't even look like he's acting.
I mean if you think about it. He’s not really acting. I mean sure he is but they actually really did have to perform the whole Live Aid set from start to finish so him getting in to it like he did is definitely real haha
Rami is actually singing and Joe and the rest are playing as well they just put the original Live Aid audio over it. It’s very crazy how good it is
Capridog actually Marc Martel sang the parts for Freddie. Don’t know about John deacon’s parts but I know this is not the original audio.
@@Capridog we've both studied it, and I agree with you. With a little bit of fixing, they made it.
Believe me when I tell you I was smiling like a proud parent the whole time they did the concert in the movie.
rami deserved that oscar for sure, his movements are almost exactly the same as freddies and his mannerism is spot on
This movie made me cry ,I felt so full of energy when I got out of the theater, and when home listening to queen .
Yall remember when he said he was going to punch a hole in the sky, he did at 3:20
*hole in the sky 😂
He fisted God’s ass lol forgive me😂
I have to say the original performance was better than this
R.I.P Freddie mercury
