The flip side, is how that does or doesnt help the next manager. Rooney was a talisman, underperforming, Fergie tried to get rid, Moyes kept him was gone 8 months later, Mistake? Spurs sold in form Kane, less pressure on Ange, having a better season than expected, Correct?. A team without a long term talisman instantly feels different. Can Slot get Salah back to his level, if he cant, a Liverpool team without Salah is worse, but the manager might just get more time. At some point Salah and VVD need to replaced, the longer you leave it, the more likely at once. Id keep VVD and sell Salah, before Slot officially takes over - Southend fan

    • @g.g.baxter4868
      @g.g.baxter4868 Před 14 dny

@daddybojanglez223 it's not a case of wanting to sell him, it's a case of weighing up if he will be leaving on a free anyway in 12 months, and looking at if him being in the team helps or hinders the new manager. He's still world class so that obviously helps a manager, but it can also help a manager if that star player leaves before they arrive. Gives them a little more time before people question how good the manager is doing. If it's fair to say Liverpool have over achieved this season. Slot also has to over achieve next season. Without Salah, much like Ange, there's a good 10-11 months grace period because people understand you've lost a key player. It's like what Fergie tried to do for Moyes. Not problem, I think this is Klopp trying to bring forward the question. I think he's felt in the last few weeks that this team isn't as close as he previously thought. He's leaving because he wants to leave a strong side, if he can't do that, and can't uturn, it's best to force a rebuild by removing one of the key players

He's also coming off his first big injury in years, and it's only been a month or so. But yeah, unlikely to ever get back to his best and even if he did change to a different more deep lying playmaker role, which he could 100% pull off, the money is too much to say no to.

A lot of Liverpools downturn directly and indirectly lands at Salahs feet. His missing chances, ones youd be angry that Jackson missed, let alone a player of Salah's standing. Then you have the effect on the other players, how many times do we see out of form players, score, when the result is beyond doubt, chances they snatch at when the pressure is on. Salah has given those players that freedom for so long, he scores so you dont HAVE to. Ive said for 10yrs, Fergie wanted to force out Rooney, to help Moyes. A talisman, a player fans loved, had seen perform at the very highest level, now looking like a shadow of his former self, a team flattering to deceive in the league, title race, and a new manager with an impossible task. Perform to level, get criticised, rebuild, get criticised for breaking up a successful team. I feel like Klopp is taking one of the Fergie playbook. Moyes gets more time to build a Man Utd team void of Rooney. Slot gets more time to build a Liverpool team without Salah. It instantly feels different, less pressure on the new manager, maybe more though on the replacement player

  • @marcosqueo1000

Replacing salah means the number 9 has to step up or his gone.

Its not really about Salah tho, its about Slot. Think back to Rooney and Fergie. Talisman, team build around, underperforming, new manager coming in to a side flattering above its current level. Liverpool doesnt need a rebuild, but it does need to be considering life without Salah and VVD, hopefully not at the same time. I look at Moyes' time with Rooney, and Ange's time without Kane, and wonder which truly is better for Slot

1- This Salah situation has filtered out the plastic Liverpool fans who want him gone.
2- Salah is being scapegoated, for the abysmal performance of that Liverpool defense, i dont know how do people not criticize VVD.
3- he has 17 goals and 9 assists in the prem , so even if you want to sell him , who would being in to get those numbers.
4- He had his worse injury of his career yet, hamstring injury, and any who played football knows how its an annoying injury.
5- Salah has been poor in the past 7 games but is he the worst player out of all of them , definitely not, when he's playing passes to mr Uruguayan andy carrol, and hes missing then its not his problem.

We are watching Liverpool because of Mo Salah, no Salah byebye Liverpool, as long as he has the ball there's a chance and we will get excited as we want him to be back at his best when he started out in LFC.
He needs to get back his confidence, and the support of his teammates by means of a ball that is sharp and as accurate as how Bobby were to deliver not the likes of passes where the new players are giving.
All we can say, the new players suck esp Nunez. As for the "Salah" attitude, we couldn't care less, we think everyone is just misinterpreting trying to figure out what happened since he looks like overreacting, similar to Mane n Salah. We just feel irritated when Nunez interferes, he is not even performing. We think he is the cause of the argument. He can't even communicate properly. From the interviews, he expects Salah to pass like this and that, just who do you think he is. Just join with an expensive fee and try to make demands. Shouldn't an expensive player adapt to any balls he gets.

Ronaldo has been the only person to be shit on and punished by fans and clubs. Everyone else gets to do interviews, act like a twat on the pitch, like tweets and all of a sudden amnesia is cured and everyone provides context or defence for the players actions.

It was £100m with an additional £50m tied to bonuses. It also came 2 days before the window shut. Liverpool would have been completely unable to replace him with a reasonable purchase on short notice and Liverpools squad would have begun the season with 4 first team attackers, 2 of which are extremely injury prone.
Braindead football takes as per usual from Buvey and the two other wafflers.

As a Liverpool I've actually wanted a genuine alternative to Salah for 3 years. Ever since the last AFCON he's been absolutely trash. Got carried by Mane and Diaz on that quadruple run in. When we needed him again now, disappears and we actually played better with Diaz, Nunez and Jota as a front 3. We also play better with Bradley at right back instead of Trent because he's not fucking inverting into midfield.
There's system issues with the side and they need addressing but as for Salah, take the money and fuck him off. He's been off it for too long and when you're paid what he is, I expect to see him running himself into the ground, whether he's scoring or not because it ain't about him!

Does not matter m8. FSG is all about profit. Thay apparently had an offer of 120m for Caicedo in the summer and went for a 20m move on Endo. That left 100m in the bank that was never invested in Jan to improve the team. So even u u got it in the summer I dont trust the board to move correctly on the market
