PSA: when you encounter the mimic as a boss fight, before going through the fog wall remove all your gear lol now enjoy fighting a cripple. Part 2: now that you have the mimic, before using it put on your most obnoxiously OP gear and watch the mimic fight on your behalf as a better version of you lol God i love this game.

This may be 2 years old but the mimic went through rehab, became drug free, and got a career in carrying people through boss fights. Bless that mimic and may it live a long life.
It will only drink one healing potion, however it has infinite mana and will use any healing spell you have equiped. Keep a healing spell on and this thing is almost unkillable. It also uses the dragon spells ;)
U can equip it with the heal spell that works for allies and I believe it ends up healing u too

Probably the biggest advantage is that it uses health instead of FP to summon, so for non-mage builds who don't put much into mind it's perfect for bringing into the fight. On the other hand, I use it even as a sorcery user, as it has unlimited FP and can spam expensive spells endlessly.

So you're in world dropping those messages, you're a valued player. Drop one on Kale's position if you did or didn't kill him, and Point down at his spot.

Everytime I go on a guide I get so excited and then I hear "to proceed you need to have defeated radahn" And then I depressingly quit the tab lol
Can get it at the start of the game if you wish.
Just summon all wariors to help you and use bleed weapon, preferably that Hound or what is it caled greatsword, also summon a creature of your own to make your army even larger, all you have to do after that is to stick to Rhadan's butt and prock bleed while all the npcs are stealing his agro

This is the best summon in the game easily, it literally uses my OP attacks on bosses, whilst I do it too… whilst also being the tankiest summon in the game, which also heals and uses my spells and ashes lol

@@louiscollin7908 It has made some of my boss fights remarkably easier but I would not say it's "cheesing" for using a legitimate item that the devs put in the game and using it in the way it was intended.
@@louiscollin7908 we have different definitions of cheesing i suppose. I'm using the item as it was intended by the developers, it may be OP but that's the devs fault for not tuning the summon correctly, hardly a players fault for using an item that's powerful? Could use that argument for anything and say well using better armour or weapons is cheesing because it makes the fight easier? like where do you draw the line between acceptable challenge and too easy?
@@louiscollin7908 I mean you can stick the word definition in front of that paragraph all you like it doesn't mean it's an official definition of a gaming term lol, and I would argue it doesn't even fit with what the mimic is at all, because the mimic doesn't 'bypass' anything you still need to fight the boss yourself and do damage yourself, avoid the attacks (which will still 2 shot you) it just allows you more breathing room because it'll take a lot of aggro when you need to heal and aren't doing any damage yourself.
Wearing better armour and equipping better weapons means you take less damage and deal more damage... which makes the fight easier as well right? is that "cheesing" it as well? Where does the line get drawn? What is the official tangible objective difference between cheesing and simply using better in game gear and items? Coz as far as I can see I put the work in to explore the world, find the best gear and summons, level it up and get stronger and now I'm reaping the rewards in the boss fights? Or am I meant to play the game deliberately with one arm behind my back because and not use the gear and weapons I found because "cHaLlEnGe"

... for me whos in at academy, this video is like "if you defeated game you can go to meteor location".. where how to trigger meteor show us if you are doing half job do it all way through .. :)

With the boss fight removing items before entering the fog doesn’t always work. I did this and put them back on after I went through, the mimic still spawned with my stuff on so I think there’s an amount of time you have to wait when it begins to spawn. So easy nonetheless anyway if you summon an ashes anyway! 😂

You can get this at level 1 if you wanted. Granted you would need to up your vigor to actually use it but head to Siofra River Well and run past everything and up the lift. Head up the hill and grab the first grace on the left. Do a wrong warp (alt+F4 while fast traveling from that location) and it will kick you out right in front of the door where you do the boss fight listed in the video. Would not recommend it for new players as can make things too easy.

Also boss u fight, u equip every item before u go in.. Then in add a weapon and say easiest fight ever

this is easily the best summon in the game, iots flat out broken, but its needed for several late game bosses
I doubt it's needed but I'm sure it does make things easier. I usually avoid things broken equipment and strats in games, so I'll probably avoid using it given how busted I'm hearing it is
@@grantgarbour it's basically needed atm for some bosses cause solo is just a slog and randoms are pretty hard to grab since most players are also looking for coop.
I didn't even realize I had it and tried it out lol. It can take out bosses without you and only requires a good portion of your health. Mimics whatever equipment you have (and yes weapon abilities and magic too) so its customizable. Broken summon especially at max level.
I just found this summon, but will it hold out as well as my Banished Knight Oleg +5 in boss battles? So far Oleg has single handedly gotten me through most of the boss battles as he draws the attention of the boss's and tanks a fair amount of damage
Will the mimic tear have the same hp as I do? I'm building a glass cannon character now so I have minimal vigor, does that mean my mimic will die easily?

I opened the room without knowing it was where you get this, but I thought all the chests were the un-openable kind so I just left, I feel so stupid now
i already beat rhaddan and when i teleport it still brings me back to the castle even when i beat the crucible knight and the other boss that take it over then i tried again and still didnt work

Mimic crazy broken, can get around the one heal by equipping a spell that heals.
Having a whole lotta trouble with Radahn (idek if that's even how you spell it, I've called him like ten different names in the past twenty four hours and none of them have been pleasant lol) but gonna give it a few good tries here tonight.
I somehow can't seem to dodge his half health attack ope. Everything else is pretty easy ish ATM, just that attack wrecks me near every time. Prob just need to git gud
There's a guide on how to cheese him, basically you need to have the Dragon Breath Rot magic thingy and once you spew the rot spell to him, his health will gradually go down and you can just run around do nothing until he rots to hell
1. Use your horse to move around and dodging regular attacks 2. Constantly re-summon as your helpers get killed off, they help a lot 3. Quick step or even better bloodhound step weapon arts are great for dodging his meteor move. 4. It’s a game bro, perfectly fine to make it easier for yourself by leveling up and getting better armor, weapons and talismans before even fighting that monster.

@@oka2893 I've been meaning to go farm up Aeonian Butterflies so I can make more rotbone bolts for that reason as well, scarlet rot is kinda crazy

I have the mimic on my main playthrough on new game +8 or whatever but on my new character who has not beat the game I go to the room with the stonesword key and the chest is already open and empty with no mimic summon inside and its not in my inventory

If you want to cheese the mimic walk in with nothing equipped then equip all your stuff and the mimic wont have anything

Kinda wish there was a FP counterpart, as a mage the cost of HP is a bit much
and there really isn't a close contender to the mimic

For some reason, I cannot use it whatsoever. I tried going online, making sure a summoning pool was active, made sure no buffs were messing with it etc. Even went to the spot you started the video in and I still cant use it. My Character reaches back and does the animation like nothing is there if you are out of arrows or something. I know it takes HP over FP but do I need to have higher Mind or something like that to actually use the darn thing? If not what the heck am I doing wrong D:
