Pewds doing what tyler1 did in chess, just in art.
“I drew that one but I was too scared to actually commit to coloring it cuz I thought i would ruin it.” This is one of the most relatable sentences I’ve ever heard. Love how you improved each day Felix!
True😭
Potential tip: if it’s on paper and you have access to a photo copier/scanner, scan it/copy it so you can try out the colors without worrying about ruining the original. Not sure how well this works if you’re using a specialized paper but it’s a thought
my solution to this was scan the drawing and color the copy 🤣
Fr I kinda hate coloring on paper cuz I set expectations in my head that aren’t possible with the stuff I have Annd it never ends up looking as good as I envisioned.
i never drew, but i instantly thought "yea i'd feel the same way" lol
Holy shit bro, I’ve been doing art for 14 years and I’m incredibly envious of your progress! I had skill regression due to masked autism, and lost some of my art skills that I learned during coping with traumatic points in my life, I’ve basically given up relearning because not being able to do as good as I used to is disheartening. But this video gives me some motivation, it’s proving we just have to be consistent to do better.
Exactly! Consistency will lead to improvement, and when it doesn’t, it just means that your artistic eye is improving at the same rate.
I grew up drawing every chance that I got, but then I used it as an unhealthy coping mechanism during a bad time in my life, so I have a hard time doing it right now. Watching this video though made me realize that I can still get simple enjoyment from drawing again if I allow myself to simply see it as such. It doesn’t have to be a competition to be the best.
Also notice how he still judged his art,, as an artist it’s easy to feel upset and not happy with your own art. Anyway I think u can do it! Goodluck
he is just copying references well that does help grow your skill. when you don't study you don't learn much.

this is actually really motivational. the part where you made so much progress then felt u were bad again is super relatable in general with everything new too!
Totally relatable. I think it's where you come to a place where you start becoming a perfectionist or have higher hopes of yourself - but you never get satisfied, forcing you to do things differently than what you actually know and the results lean that way. I've experienced it a lot with writing music.
Your growth in skill is so inspiring. And you genuinely have such a nice style. The girls have such cute fashion and the little characters you add are so creative. Good luck on the journey going forward!

A very quick out of the blue tip, when shading with white, use blue instead of gray, it looks so much better! This is genuinely amazing!
Also in the drawing with the circle behind, pewds, it would help a lot if you just keep the colour but avoid the black inking, it will give a better contrast between character and background
Saw this comment and I knew in an instant that I have to try this...
And mann THANK YOU I LOVE THE RESULTS.
It depends bro, sometimes grey is better, sometimes its blue tint is better, sometimes its yellow tint is better
its situational, depending on the background, if the background is hell, you dont use blue
@@CriticalerroR69 another tip is to shade with colour instead of black! for example if you're shading brown you might want to use purple. good luck with your art:)

It varies a lot from person to person. I don't draw often, but I'm often thinking about technique and carefully taking in day-to-day sights. Next time I pick up my pencil, I'm doing a better job. Most important is to think about what you're doing, shed awareness to your own actions, and it will make you better.
I think it's a combination of good practicing methods and repetition. He already started with learning from many references and also how to break them down into simple shapes. Shapes and forms are fundamentals. They make drawing much easier. He also stayed in his area of interest for a while and kept repeating the same or similar things. In this case, the faces. Then, he started to expand into areas relative to what he already knows, like expressions, bodies, and he also started experimenting with different angles. I don't know if he realizes this or not, but he's very smart with how he learns and practices.
This is amazing! everything you're experiencing drawing is what every artist deal with as well. Great progress though, proud of you for trying a new craft, sticking with it and sharing it!
I heard from somewhere that the artist will think critically of their art while spectators would find it amazing and already flawless.

As an artist who is drawing since toddler age and now studies art at university, your improvement is INSANE! It took me at least 5 years to get from my beginner level to your level now, still improved since then and still doing now. Huge respect!
Edit: since everyone is so worried about my skill apparently, I improved very slowly in my early teenage years, where I also haven't drawn everyday or even every week. I also drew mostly anime. Things change yk
Well it is hard fitting in learning to draw between the letters of the alphabet
I know you already know this but it’s worth keeping in mind the focus, Felix has exclusively been drawing one thing being anime girls so ofc he’s gonna get better at that one thing way faster than a generalist. Think this is really important so people less familiar that want to draw don’t get intimidated/put down

During his childhood, Kjellberg was interested in art and has detailed that he would draw popular video game characters such as Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog, as well as play video games on his Super Nintendo Entertainment System, such as Star Fox and Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. During high school, he frequently played video games in his bedroom and would skip classes to join at an Internet café with friends. It’s hard to convince people on how much they can improve by drawing daily, you can improve so much in the span of a month if you’re willing to suffer through the “bad days.” You just need to be willing to spend a lot of time feeling frustrated before something clicks and all of a sudden you start to get it.

one of the best things i learned that made my art better was warming up I always start with drawing circles squares cubes and cylinders with cross hatching and squiggles I instantly saw improvement with warmups
As an artist I'm legitimately SHOCKED by how fast you've improved, please keep going! This is fascinating to see. I also really like that you're being transparent about which ones were done without reference and which ones were done with reference, sometimes even showing the original drawing or photo you used. You're doing great, seriously, I bet next time there's a new GFUEL Pewdiepie flavor you'll end up drawing the promo art.
1:22 as a artist call this the "potemkim phase" because this happens after you go crazy and start improving but the next day the improvement you had disappears. This happens because you see something wrong and you fix it but you don't understand why and you revert back to the stage where you didn't see the mistake. Then your soul starts singing "im a fool,I know nothing. I take the role of a silly clown" hence the potemkim phase. So to counter that, you must understand everything to the point where you can teach and or fundamently understand why it's supposed to look like that
And don't forget to Pot Buster the sketch book when you rage at it. It helps to keep your mind clear

7:24 holy, man! That is absolutely gorgeous. As an artist that has been drawing since she can remember, I am so proud and maybe even a little jelly
Ikr he's imporved sooooo fast!!! 😭😭 I have 59 full sketchbooks and just recently I feel like I'm getting the hang of it, but Felix is there already at 100 days of drawing 🥲 its so inspiring, but also stings
Man, I felt the same! haha
I'm not a artist but I draw since I was 12 (24 now) and I never improved that mutch in so little time like pewds did.
Now I'm very tempeted to by a sketchbook and try to do the same!
(English is not my native lenguage so excuse me if I don't expressed myself right)
Fr, it just shows that literally anyone can draw, they just need to stay dedicated to it and most importantly, have fun with it!! It’s AWESOME!!
Anyone can cook
Same!! Ikr!!
As an artist with a tendency to get so much art block, seeing this video really lit up something within me. I am so proud of how far you’ve come and I look forward to future videos as you continue to improve!! Great job felix, you inspire many people!!
Hi fellow artist who gets art block. I hope you have fun making art that you feel proud of. This video is inspiring me a little too. I love painting.
Indeed

My art block is so bad😅
@@thatundertalegenius9961 same. That's just a part of what happens when you're an artist. And you wonder if you should quit and never paint or draw again but then it's over and art makes you feel even better than before. It just takes some time. You got this 👍
As a young artist this is very impressive and inspiring for me to keep making my own art and keep going. I have been struggling with art for a long time, but seeing someone else do it like this is making me feel motivated to keep going and draw every day.
i find it beautiful how you learned to draw, and hpow you immidiately started doing your own little drawings of inspired things like chainsaw man. Ive been drawing my whole life and tbh youve made so much progress in finding your own style and drawing without refrence. i've been following you since your amnesia days and tbh seeing you grow is sooo heart warming :3
never give up!!
you have a very intuitive sense of color. I've been drawing for over 15 years and I still can't get the hang of coloring, but your colored pieces already look like a sketchbook you could apply to a color assistant position 😭 if you improve in composition and original character design you could probably be at a level to apply to art school 😭😭😭 the envy is killing me
Right? All the colours went together so well!! Idk if the pens he has are all complementary to each other but each combo he used was fire
Probably because of his background in photo editing I'm guessing? 🤔 He definitely has a solid background to build a good foundation for learning art
@@bubbatea3818good shout!
how old are you, 17?
Apply for art school? Why would you waste your life like that?
There's something very human about drawing.
Pewdiepie, with this and with your gym journey and your amazing family, you are truly this generation's best role model
Exactly

And his books 📚
The fact that your art skills increased so much in 100 days - holy heck!!! You've truly inspired me to pick up a pen again - it's been way too long. Keep on drawing!!
I just can say: Congratulations for being so constant and keep trying. As an artist, this is hard as hell.
All my respect.
6:00 "I think I used myself as reference for some of these, I know that's kinda weird, I just needed the pose" That is absolutely not weird! That's exactly what other artists do as well all the time, either with mirror or with photos.
🇩🇪MY CONTENT IS MUCH BETTER THAN PEWDIEPIE 🗿🍷
It's also way quicker to get a reference of what you have in mind too if you just film yourself doing the pose or action compared to searching online for hours
Fr! Especially with hands to and head angles.
Sometimes you use it so much that your characters start looking like you! So maybe adjust the promotions when you're posing for a reference lmao
7:55 this one is litterally a masterpiece
OMG MRBEAST just commented on my recent vid I'm so happy rn
Some of them are genuinely amazing.
*FR FR*
The way he draws hair is genuinely beautiful and mesmerizing
Exactly
Felix!! This is amazing! It’s so refreshing seeing someone jumping into the world of art and drawing and doing it for fun too! It’s so impressive seeing this kind of perseverance, as an artist i am a little intimidated but it’s actually inspiring and pushes me to want to be more consistent and improve a lot like you do!
This video motivated me so much. I've been drawing for two months now and enjoy it more than ever!
Thank you for that Felix
11:54 "I feel like what I draw usually isn't as good as the reference"
If there's one piece of advice I can offer you it's that you should focus on your drawing as opposed to the reference, It's never going to be 1 to 1, but as long as you feel satisfied with what you drew then it doesn't have to be a perfect copy.
If he does want to get better he should use critical thinking and draw shapes and construction etc. I thought copying references was the best way to improve but I was wrong and wasted years just copying mindlessly and didn't learn much
It depends on what your goal is, if you are trying to make a pretty picture yes, but if you're trying to learn how to draw something like an angle of the face, focus on the reference
@Djpokemon12 first tip is to construct and deconstruct. Know why the body looks this way in that pose or movement etc. What's behind the eye we see. How the skull and bones look like and are places. He should also do gesture drawing.its fun and gets you familiarized with the body In a simple way. To get that flow of energy to create dynamic poses etc
One piece mentioned

I CANNOT TELL YOU HOW MOTIVATING THIS IS!!! Been Drawing off and on all my life, and I've felt like I messed up by not drawing as much as I should have for the last 5 years or so, But Seeing How amazing your art is even after 100 days reminds me that If I want to be better it's not unattainable. I can't Wait for the Next update!

I hope he keeps showing us his drawing journey. It's very interesting to see how he started and how far he's come now
