This guy did not need a transplant. No where close.
Did you even watch the first minute of the video?
Yes he did….
No one needs a transplant, but his hair could be improved by one

It’s okay to want a better shape. You don’t necessarily need recession
I really enjoy watching all your videos. Thank you and a shout out from new hampshire the 603
I went to that same location and same doctor. He has over 20 years of doing these and him and his staff are top notch. I think the results were amazing. The whole process was super comfortable too
00:41 🤔 When choosing a clinic for a hair transplant, focus on the individual surgeon's expertise rather than just the clinic's name or location.
01:54 🩹 Different branches of Bosley may have different doctors; ensure you know and trust the specific surgeon responsible for your procedure.
02:50 🔄 Medical therapy, like finasteride, can show positive results in stabilizing hair loss and regrowth, as seen in Pete's case.
05:22 💉 When considering the number of hairs in a hair transplant, clarify whether it refers to individual hairs or grafts, as each graft may contain multiple hairs.
08:49 🧮 Understanding the limitations of donor hair supply is crucial; excessive lowering of the hairline may deplete available grafts for future needs.
13:29 🕰 Early intervention in hair loss is emphasized; a combination of surgery and medical therapy can yield optimal results.
14:40 📍 Sight making, crucial for determining the number and placement of grafts, can be done before or after harvesting, depending on surgeon preference.
16:31 🌡 Pain during the procedure is managed with lidocaine, and recovery instructions post-surgery should be followed for optimal results.
17:40 😃 Hair regrowth after a transplant takes time, with visible results at around 6 months, and final results may be observed after a year and a half.
19:06 🚑 Hair transplant surgery is a significant and time-consuming procedure that requires a skilled team; expectations should be realistic regarding the process and its impact.
Great video Doc. I had an 1800 FUE from Bosley 4 weeks ago. There are a ton of similarities between what my surgeon did and what you do/recommend. Thanks for the great content fr! While I go though my journey there are questions and concerns. I appreciate your content. Keep going.
How was the pain?
Great video. Explained so well. I did 6.5k GRAFTS back in beggining of October in a 2 day session to Dr. Shadi Abunaseer in Belgrade, Serbia and I just hit 4th month mark and the hair has already sprawled so good ppl keep telling me I look like a brand new man! This Hair Transplant is a state of the art medical technology. And if I were based in America i'd HESTITATE you know how long? ZERO SECONDS and i'd hit Dr. Linkov in a split millisecond!
Big ups to Dr. Linkov from Kotor, Montenegro!
It is crazy that he got that much hair back with medication. Honestly he could have gone without the transplant.
Yea I know everyone hair loss journey is unique to the person, but I don't think that guy realizes how lucky he was to basically get all his hair back. This is just vanity bordering on body dismorphia
After watching that and the over the top tone it is clear that was a Bosley ad, not that yt guy showing us the process.
That's Alpha M, he always do that for clicks.
I had mines done last week in London the pain is a bit of a stinger the first 10 days is key after that it should fine the itching is starting to get more don't rub your scalp incase u dislodge a graft
I had my HT done in Hungary with the entire procedure done solely by the doctor using the DHI method over three days (1000 grafts per day). I felt much more comfortable knowing the doctor was doing it all himself. I'm only one month post op but he did a super job shaping my hairline and i'm happy with it so far.
What’s the doctors name?
@@ghorstbusters6238 Dr Thomas Mantse - His clinic is called PROHAIR KLINIKA
Yes it’s all about the surgeon and or artist!!💯
Agreed!
I underwent the procedure there, and it ended up costing me four times more than the fees charged in Turkey. My consultant maintained objectivity, avoiding criticism while highlighting Bosley's esteemed reputation in the field of hair transplants. Due to my commitment to health and the variations in laws, I ultimately chose to proceed with Bosley. Presently, I'm three months into the process, and things are progressing positively. As responsible adults, thorough research is essential. My personal experience was positive, and I'm satisfied with my decision. I strongly advise against opting for a hair transplant abroad, if possible, for safety reasons. If financial considerations are a constraint, it might be worthwhile to save up or carefully evaluate whether a hair transplant is a feasible priority for you.
PS,
The needle they use to numb you is the most PAINFUL part.

I want Dr Linkov to do my hair transplant
Dr Linkov, do you have a general opinion on Bosley?
Looking good with your facial hair gary 👍
You mentioned that the Techs doing harvesting needs some sort of license. Can you elaborate?
FAPD (Fibrosing Alopecia in Pattern Distribution) could cause some scarring, correct? I know that it's more common in women - but it can happen in men.
Hello Gary, please how long does it take to fully recover after hair transplant?
Love the content Dr. Linkov !
Could you clarify what you mean by every cm you work on at the hairline consumes 800 grafts? Is that per cm^2 or for every latitudinal cm down from where you started to where you finish?
Thank you :)
Its every cm that the entire hairline is filled at the front, not per sq cm.
I have considered getting a hair transplant for a small portion on my head to fill out the areas similar to what was shown by the guy in the video. Although, I am afraid that hair transplants don't last THAT long. I fear that I would need to get another one in like 10 years because the aging caught up and all the progress made is lost. Am I wrong to think this?
the hair that was transplanted will last, its the hair that was already gonna fall out that's gonna fall out
I can't stand that guy alpha m. So untrustworthy

Hi Doc Gary you do Jaw surgery for TMJ?
Hi Dr. Gary Linkov,
Is it possible to get a hair transplant exclusively for the temporal peaks/temporal points (those sharper points just above the side of the eyebrows)
My hairline is solid but my temporal peaks have receeded a lot, and they're important for my face as they frame it in quite nicely.
Thank you for a great video.
i'd like to know this too
U can transplant hair almost everywhere. I think its an easy task to do by a skilled surgion.
i see many transplants where surgeons totally ignore temporal peaks...they lower hairline but forehead still looks big due to this issue. no face reframing, horrible aesthetics 😅
@@sovka8394 fr but a lot of them do this because you'll notice in older transplants or people that have gone for the temporal peaks end up losing the hair behind them, so they have triangle islands on either side of their forehead lol
Doctor, is it true that baldness, whether partial or extensive, is primarily caused by tension in the muscles of the forehead and the top of the head? Could medically numbing these muscles to prevent contraction during times of stress significantly or completely reduce the likelihood of hair loss over time? Or is this merely a myth? Could you please consider making a video discussing this topic?
How would you ask a doctor if they know how to do an fue harvesting and if the harvester has the adequate credentials without sounding skeptical of them
great question as a 'hack' harvesting can damage a lot of hairs! And for the price $$$$$ we shouldn't be concerned about asking such questions. I believe Dr Gary charges $500 for the consultation alone!
Doctor Gary, can you answer a question I haven’t been able to find any answers for.
I have my entire head tattooed. Is it still safe to get a hair transplant or is there concern with ink contaminating the surgery. Thanks
Oooh...interesting question! Hope Dr. G answers!
Tip for any men thinking of Bosley, the men who started the company are in Saint Louis, MO. So might be worth the travel if you’re near STL.
No.Bosley is so over priced and not that good. For that price it should be guaranteed amazing
@@SpaceRanger187 that’s why you go to the office that started it all & use the team that was taught by the original two doctors. Then it is worth the price. Like he says, research your doctors.
Dr Duetsch is world class. Dont let reddit grumpies fool you. People expect full hair when they had sub par donor areas and bad genetics which doctor cannot save.
How long do you recommend refraining from alcohol after the procedure in regards to healing and recovery as well as maximizing the results of the procedure?
This shouldn’t be rocket science
Dr gary, is it safe to use topical minoxidil as an oral one? To drink 0.05 ml of it 2x a day or 1 ml a day?
It's active ingrediets are minoxidil 5% and inactive ingredients are alcohol, purified water and propylene glycol
Don't do it. The alcohol isn't the kind you should ingest.

Let me tell you in Detroit what Bosley tried to pull a fast one. I went to see how much for the transplant they were promoting where they don’t take a big slice from the back of your head but 1 to 3 hairs at a time. Well the Dr. Who was quite beautiful by the way only wanted to do the old way with a large slice of the back of the head. So I never went back! It was actually Troy outside of Detroit. I will just go to Turkey…..

I have such an important question that seems to be difficult to find an answer to online.
Do the transplanted graphs thin out at the same rate as the existing hair, or are the transplanted graphs permanently rooted?
Depending on where they were harvested they may thin out or be permanent - If they were taken from the mid back of the head or sides, they are permanent as those hairs are resistant to DHT. If they were harvested from the upper back of the head, they may still thin out as that area is prone to genetic hair loss - taking finasteride however will help prevent further hair loss. It also depends on what kind of hair loss you are experiencing with MPB being the most common.
@@itsRichiebitch thanks for the info! I was confused if the donor areas of the head were DHT resistant. I didn't think it was the follicles being planted.
I'm 24 years old, and my hair has been thinning badly each year. So, I decided to use minoxidil, and I kept using it for 3 to 4 months. I noticed some small hair growth at the front, but it wasn't very noticeable. Then, I decided to go to the doctor to see if I was doing something wrong or if minoxidil would actually help regrow my hair.
He said to me, "To be honest with you, minoxidil will not change your hairline, and you will continue to experience thinning, but at a slower rate. The only effective way for you is through hair transplantation, but you have to wait until you are 30."
I felt disappointed. I realized there was nothing more to do about it, and I stopped using minoxidil for 2 weeks until now😔.
Did he not tell you about finesteride which is the most effective medical care for hair loss out right now and has been for ages.
Minoxidil only helps grow more hair not stopping hair from falling out so if you use only minoxidil it's like pouring a lot of water in a box with a lot of small holes in it sure u have more water now but that's gonna leave as well and at the same pace but finesteride is like patching up the hole but obviously not every hole but up to 70% of it slowing it down a lot or sometimes stopping/stabilisation of the hair completely. It's probably not gonna get so much better like the hairline you had at 16 or something, but its not gonna get super bad either which is good.
@@sav8323 While he didn't talk much about finasteride, I remember him saying that it has some bad side effects on hormones
@@hossamayman3587and plus even after a hair transplant you need finasteride to keep your existing non transplanted hair.
Embrace the baldness. I lost my hair lately teens/early 20's. Almost all women will overlook hair loss if you keep yourself in good physical shape 💪😎
@@russellbird7543Lucky you, but not everyone is going to look as good bald. I tried it once, and my head was like a rotten potato 😅
I'm glad you got your facial hair features back...looks so much better
I shaved my head and the hairs look like I have a full head of hair (slight thinning when it's grown ) . I noticed my head is shiny when I was walking in restaurants and saw my reflection... does that mean I cannot grow back my hair ? or that i'm just going to go completely bald? i only shaved it because it itches so much and it's easier to do all the stuff to itto try and fix it.
Of course your hair is gonna grow back lol
The shine means you have too much scalp tension and calcification and maybe too much sebum too.
Work on the scalp tension with massage and fix the calcification with magnesium and taurine
thanks for great videos as always,
let say I am a Norwood 6 (rather large crown), many males in my family have ended up at 6 or 7, I am thinking about first surgery now, doing the crown, clinic recommend around 2500 grafts for one clinic to fill out with reasonable density, another was guessing 3000 grafts, doing some reserach online suggest 1500 grafts should give some descent density if fully bald with the area I have on the crown with very thin hair, it is around 81 cm^2, would a smart way to do it be start 1500 on crown and use around 1000 in the front and when evaluate and see how I feel about result? Or go for as one clinic said 3500 grafts putting 2000 on front and 1500 on crown, when fill up crown more on second surgery if I feel this is needed,
what to do if the crowns expands even more at later stage? I guess I need to account for that swell setting the strategy to no over dense the hair
at what point will one "know" what amounts of donor hair I have? is that something one would see during the surgery?
Doctor i have a question I want to know if I can shave my head with a razor after 4 years of a hair transplant kept on losing hair ?
Got my transplant a months ago, shedding has just started, but I’m more concerned with my donor area, got 2500 grafts taken out and the back is looking patchy as hell
Same bro I’m low key regretting this
Fascinating. Do you have to shave your head if you're only getting a small area done? I've heard they can do FUE with 1" hair, etc.?
We do no shave FUE for the right candidate.
Correct. It can be even longer than 1”. Thing is though you will be bloody as heck after so cant really expect to go around without a hat. Bosley gives you a post op hat on way out.

Dr Gary , do you have any good Drs in LA area that do this ?
Ok first I am subbing cuz your honesty just captivates me with every video. Second, I need to try again minoxidil before I go to a surgery. Last time I used minoxidil my skin started falling, my head was itching, I was feeling really bad, but I gotta pull through this time.
Have you tried the minoxidil pills? They prob wouldn't irritate your skin.
Have you tried finasteride? I urge you to try that. I went over a year using minoxidil, micro needling, massaging, vitamins, saw palmetto, keto shampoo, you name it. Nearly six months in, I'm getting new hairs and thickening with finasteride where all the others stacked I wasn't getting much of anything..
I actually had side effects from minoxidil as well. Massive headaches, heart skips, elevated rhythm, etc.
Dr. can you make any recommendations for surgeons in Toronto?
I accidentally bumped my head on the 10th day after my FUE hair transplant while exiting a cab. I was wearing a P-Cap at the time. Although the impact didn't seem hard, I'm concerned that maybe it was harder than I realized. I'm extremely worried about it, especially since I felt a sensation similar to a needle pinch in that specific area. Is there cause for concern? Could this have dislodged my graft? 😢
Don’t worry about it

You are too young for a transplant. You need to get on meds and see if they work for you. If you were to get a transplant now you could possibly be left with an island of hair with balding around it. Since you are in Canada i would recommend that you consult with Hasson and Wong. Even though you can't afford them they are one of the best clinics in the world and could give you an estimate of how your hair loss will progress.

Yeah, I have the same issue. Im not from USA, I'm from Europe and here we have no trustworthy doctor for hair. They either tell you "No" or glue a wig without even doing the needed tests and exams. I've seen a guy in my country, he had very little hair on the top. He went to surgery at a Turkish doctor who performed in my country as well. Got transplanted entire missing area with hair, but after few mounths it all fell off without regrowing. That is why I would have Dr Linkov to do the treatment but living in Europe I dont know the costs and we also have visa and rest of the necessary travel documents which also cost huge ammount of money while everyone's sallary in my country is less than 500 euros (abusive management, l know). I went to a doctor, he kept asking me why I needed it, its just hair. Then he just sent to to local pharmacy to buy a useless lotion and overpriced shampoo Alpecin C1 which gave no results.

Bosley is expensive af.
Turkey teeth/hair is very popular in the UK and can be spotted a mile away 😅. I've been bald since early 20's and all of this hair transplant stuff seems a waste of money as NEVER looks natural. I have a friend who wears a hair system/wig and that's by far the most natural looking of anyone I know who's had work done and I believe costs about £1 a day to maintain. If you can find a decent Dr. I think the cost of having a decent hair transplant would be tens of thousands and even then no guarantee of it looking natural (e.g. Elton John. But who am I to criticise, it almost seems like there's a sub culture of cheap hair transplants/teeth that are considered attractive owing to their prominence on social media 🤷
When he said "scarring" he probably meant fibrosis, which does occur.
I'm an American. If hair transplant prices were much less in the USA, people would not have to travel to Turkey for their procedure. Hair transplant companies in the USA spend a lot of money on advertising, but they don't lower the cost of hair transplants, which is unfortunate. The hair transplant doctors in the USA are well-aware that most individuals go to Turkey for their hair transplants. Lowering costs is a simple way for American hair transplant doctors to recover their business from Turkey.
I don't know if you've answered this, doc, but I would like to know what will happen to the area used to donor the hair follicle, will it grow back normally?
It will not once its harvested its gone
Gary likes mma!? This is great
Just today I got 5mg Fin from my local CVS, a 30 day supply ONLY cost me $5.00
I'll use a Pill Cutter to 1/4 them, that will give me 1.25 mg daily.... so... that's actually 120 days for $5.00
BTW... a local Dermatologist wrote the Rx so, I have to figure the office visit cost into the price of the Fin.
But even with that... I have 3-refills so that's 480 days of 1.25mg Fin for $15.00 and I'm sure the Dr will refill the Rx without making me come in for another office visit.
