- I decided to highlight the entire Malenia struggle from start to finish, uncut and unedited. Enjoy!
I highlighted all the boss fights I did during my first playthrough of Elden Ring back in the first half of 2022, and they've all been numbered in the order I beat them.
The recording date is just the day I made the highlight, so it's more of an estimate than the actual date (except this one particular clip, bc this one is 100% correct), but definitely within 14 days of the date it says on the video (I didn't have Twitch Prime, so that's the only reason why I know LMAO).
These are all just exports of my Twitch VODs, so they have not been edited by any means, they're just pure and raw VODs, so don't expect too much here. I can't edit for the life of me.

Some people may say it was unearned but who cares. Win is win. If it is in the game - it's fair. If boss wasn't defeated with glitches or bugs - it's fair. And if you think that it wasn't - you can always try another time) I'm doing my 15-th playthrough now because I want to fight certain bosses with different things.
I 100% agree! There is no right or wrong way of doing it, as long as it's a mechanic in the game itself. Some people just have a very elitist and gatekeepy attitude with these games 🙃
@@VepVods I'm more surprised that people give a shit how other play at all. Like others are ruining their own experience which is clearly not. So why bother? I look upon other players just for curiosity of what build they play, how creative they can be, how emotional they are when see some cool stuff, or maybe how more casual players overcome this game. By the way that's may be the reason why those elitists exist: for some reason they think that all people are super-puper-ultra-mega-pros, that can easily defeat any boss with their bare hands first try. In fact I was this kind of man before (not in this game, but in general). I had a mindset like "if I can, anyone can". But later on I was proven wrong. Though it was not elitism manifestation, I just was foolish.
@@Sargatas I can't say for sure of course, but I think it has something to do with them feeling like they want to be part of an exclusive club, where only a few people are allowed in. So if you do anything to make things easier for yourself, you haven't earned a seat at the table.
@@VepVods well...we don't live in warrior society where strength is everything. And considering own point of view as the only one right is beyond stupid. Can I beat any boss no hit? Yes. Is it making me more special then others? No. I'm not a youtuber with 2 mil subs that has to make a cool content to his fellows. I don't need to earn something and proove something to anybody. And so doesn't 99,9% of this community. So whatever the reason is it's just a copium overdose.

First time watching rivers of blood in action and I see why it's op. I like your chill vibes and regardless of mimic + rivers blood you did great to beat malenia in 45 minutes

I had an absolute nightmare with Malenia deapote using mimic tear with Rivers of Blood. Well done nonetheless.
Looking at the video quality i recommend you drop your resolution in obs to 936p instead of using 1080p. Twitch doesn't allow bitrate high enough for 1080p streaming hence it creates artifacting on the video when there is lot of stuff going on on the screen.

I thought you were learning very fast and it was fun to watch. I think you could have beaten her fast without mimic. Much faster than I could ever do. I took 6 days for me. GG 😊

I'd say that 100% of her difficulty lies in one move. Take off that waterfowl dance from her and I can swear, there would be a lot of people that beat her first try and in general she would not be even in top 5 of hardest elden ring bosses. At least in first playthrough, in NG+5 and beyond there's a completely different story.
@@Sargatas that must have been a good start to the year. What a good night. I agree she isn't as hard as she's hyped up to be, but I think you might be a bit above average. I don't think most people would first try her without a summons though lol. GG I bet it was good
Nice, you did good! You could have beaten her even without mimic tear though because you dealt a great amount of damage: you only needed to learn her moveset a bit better and “just” survive the waterfowl dance. But nonetheless good job, I’m still trying to beat her with my Guts build character I hope I can win at some point😅😂

@@arjun8883 Yes I did, it was nice and fun learning her even though waterfowl dance exists(I know how to dodge it long or mid range now), it’s ironic how I never got pissed against her, not once maybe because I already knew that she was gonna be hard and didn’t mind losing🤷🏻♂️😂
First time I played Malenia I beat her in only a few tries, but I cheesed with mimic and every buff known to man, and stonebarb tear. Second play through I'm just using my katana and sword art. It's day 4 and I'm still fighting. LOL.

Hard to say, but I am very salty about the godskin duo, because that was the point where I started using summons. But I have to admit the toughest was probably the Elden Beast for me 😂
Hahaha yeah duo boss in elden ring were not as optimized as other fromsoft games xD. Yeah at later stages bosses scaled so much ,it felt like it wasnt worth trying to spend hours on the boss.Thanks miyazaki for summons

Most people seem to go with strength from what I've seen or heard. But strength isn't quite my thing, I like dex more, so I used the uchigatana for almost the entire game, until later when I found rivers of blood and had enough points in arcane to actually use it. I didn't level arcane at all until then 😅
@@VepVodsi have never heard about any builds exclude Dex( bleeding), everyone ( and i also) obviously count it as most powerful build in the game. Too casual, first time i encountered malenia i killed her for 30-40 attemps i think, rivers of blood, moon veil it's to OP, especially against malenia))
@@bearerofthecurse7827Dex isn't bleed specifically though, arcane is bleed. That's what I mean. Also, I had no idea about what was most powerful or not when I played, I went into the game completely blind and spoiler free, so I didn't just go for whatever people said was OP because I didn't even know what that would be. I went with whatever I found that seemed the most fun to me.
@@VepVods well no hate for OP weapons, just facts. I was playing ER a year ago and even then, i knew that dex builds are OP but as well, no hate for any builds.
@@bearerofthecurse7827Well, that's good. It just seemed a bit backhanded, but if that wasn't your intention then my bad. But these clips are not new, they were all from when the game came out, so in the first half of 2022. I played Elden Ring since day 1 and stayed away from any spoilers.

you can beat her perfectly without any of that easy mode bs. You just have to get good. She ruined for her one of the greatest fromsoft bosses. Really sad that they decided to add these easy mode mechanics.

@@VepVods you didnt cheat, you used what the game let you use, fair and square, i for one fought Unalloyed Malenia, its a mod that releases her full power, probably the most pretty boss fight in a video game, but difficulty makes everything in the game child play in comparison.
