I thought you were going to have company on this adventure. But your on your own PAT MALONE. Geeez your not afraid to have a go. Good onya mate. I'll stay tune for more good stuff.
You lucky man here in the U.K. The weather is crap the roads are the same we are so bogged down in laws you carnt do jack no wild camping ⛺️ enjoy your ride thank for the blog
Inspires me to get the old CT90 out of the garage and up to snuff for some adventure riding. No outback in the U.S. though. Guess I'll just stick to the back roads and small town scenery. Thanks for posting all of your videos.
Hot Damn!! Adventure is right!! Just taking a trip like this may not be a big deal on any other bike you have, but the novelty of the postie is definitely a contributing factor in this adventure... It is nice how quiet it is when you're on the road, very peaceful... On the other hand, the decreased speed probably isn't a big help with keeping you cool... Well done, can't wait for part 2. Cheers!! Greg
G'Day Geordie, thanks mate and yeah I was faster on the boulevard. I've gotten a real fear of the sand and it's holding me back, so I'm trying to overcome it. The only way I know how to overcome it is to keep putting myself in it. I'm determined to conquer that bloody sand. Your right about the momentum, it makes perfect sense... and of course you are right... your a bloody legend in the stuff! :-) Cheers... Mark
G'Day mate, Great to hear and your gunna love the cruise control... it's a life saver! Have fun in the high country... that will be the place for me and Charlie to tackle. Cheers... Mark
When you said you were nearly at WentworthI thought you were going to visit the girls in prisoner cell block H, lol. Looks like you'd have been better riding in the Bush mark, Hod all mighty ya don't half put yourself through it sometimes! Ride Safe my friend
Russell Coight's "All Aussie (Postie Bike) Adventures", time to hit the rooooooooad! I see a bit of Russ in there Big Buddy, but thankfully without the catastrophies..... Cheers!
Funny as Mark, you live the moment lol. Big fan of your vids and will be grabbing some of your stuff of the website for a couple of my trips. Thanks heaps for sharing dude.
Epic. Keep the videos coming! My brother and I are about to embark on some Postie Bike adventures too. I have one of your cruise controls and am looking forward to giving it a workout! We will be heading up to the Vic high country in a couple of weeks time...
Hello Mark Great video as we come to expect, love the postie bike. Roads out there look great, better than trash we put up with. Envious of your aussie weather, bloody freezing over here. Catch up with you soon mate. Regards to the family
G'Day mate, yeah your right and that's why I keep trying to get better on the sand and also get over my fear of it after coming off twice on my boulevard in sand. Cheers... Mark
Watch out for Roooos !!!! They as solid as shit Matie !!!! ( But if you do, you'll have Tucker for a month on the road !) I rode a 50cc yamaha in the 70's from Bulawayo / Rhodesia up to Blantyre / Malawi and back a couple of times and had to deal with insects and wild animals both ways >>> Nightmare Deluxe !
Loving your videos, mate. I'm sure you're all over it now and I'm the last one that should be giving advice, but lowering the tyre pressure made a huge difference for my confidence in the sand. Hope you do more of these budget bike trips. :-)
G'day mate, thanks for the info... never heard of that one! I ran out a lot along the way and would quickly switch to reserve and then stop somewhere convenient to refuel. I suppose I never run out and came to a stop. I'm sure it's one of those "just in case it happens" things you should do. Thanks for the heads up! :-) Cheers... Mark
Throttle through the sand Mark. It takes some getting used too but the postie will make it mate. To be honest the faster you go the more stable the bike will be.
Hi again Mark FYI....The guys from the Postie challenge say the biggest killer of bikes is running out of fuel (which superheats it and seizes the motor. They had us always leave the fuel tap on reserve and fuel early on miles.......thought I'd share.
G'day Jack, to be honest I have no idea. That was a little while ago and another 2,700kms rid 'in after that section :-) If I was to guess it would have been a couple of hours. Cheers... Mark
Great video again Mark but I do think you were going quicker on your C50 in the sand and ruts! Remember sometimes the throttle and speed/momentum are your friend in the dirt.... Cheers & well done!
G'Day Skeggy, LOL at Wentworth... yeah I'm not the smartest guy out there and definately not the best rider when it comes to sand... but I'm trying to overcome my fear of that shit :-) and the only way I know is to just keep on attempting it. Cheers... Mark

A heavy load, slow speeds, skinny tires plus deep sand equals #@%&!! LOL
You.should do the postie bike challenge this year or next year. Its starts on the 6th of august.

What's a postie?
A "Postie Bike" is a Honda CT110. In Australia we call them that because they are what the Postman rides to deliver the mail.
OK Got it
