Hoshina telling everyone to salute is one of my favourite scenes of the whole season. He, the platoon and we know who this salute was aimed at.
Interesting detail: the creature holding Kafka said "Kaiju… kill" as if it's goal is killing Kaiju
And Kafka said that his body was reacting to Isao like he was a Daikaiju bacause of the weapon he was using
So it's sorta safe to assume that the creature wasn't attacking Isao for nothing, it was attacking him because it thought he was a Kaiju
So it's like kinda Kaiju Vs. Kaiju,
I was so stressed when reading this battle in the manga hahahahhahaa. I'm 29 turning 30 next year so I can relate to Kafka a lot. He's such a refreshing MC too ! Love how he's a goofball yet also a badass too.
FINALLY, a late 20s/early 30s guy with a sense of humor. I'm tired of people your age giving negative reviews of this show, saying stuff like, and I quote "I felt lowkey insulted at Kafka's behavior".
Kaiju No.8 Acted that way because he sensed the massiv Energy from Kaiju No.2, he doesnt want to kill Isao, the targed was the weapon.
This will undoubtedly be, the revelation anime this year, it has to be.
It has to be, no one expected anything from this anime

The general is smart and knows killing Kafka would result in discourse in the divisions. He knew that Kafka had been helping Division 3 for a few months. His daughters words probably Cemented his thoughts on the matter. And Mina's speech struck his heart with a nail. That flinch! If kafka could not be controlled, he would most likely have been kept alive but chained up until they had no other choice but to use him. The General isn't dumb.
Isao isn't a completely horrible person. Yes, he's way too harsh on Kikoru and he comes off as this overbearing commander who doesn't care about anyone else's opinion. But a part of it also comes from trauma of fighting Kaiju all his life, losing his wife to them and now having his daughter fight them too. So, yes, his first instinct on anything related to living Kaiju is going to be to kill it first, ask questions later. But he is able to think rationally and take input from others too, even if he pretends he made decision to spare Kafka for different reasons.

YES finally your vid is here, I was waiting. I just saw an article the other day about how Kaiju no. 8 has set a number of firsts in the anime world. It was streamed on X, it's the first anime in the history of Crunchyroll to be live streamed at the same time as the Japanese TV broadcast, it was available right from the start dubbed in like 8 different languages (including Hindi, kinda surprisingly).

As a manga reader, I’m very pleased with this adaptation. And they’ve already started work on Season 2. There’s even a small teaser that came out the same day as episode 12.

@@sidtheepic1103 I'm sure they would. narumi has a lot of screentime in the next season and his moments would definitely be part of the main highlights. if they mess that up, s2 might not get the same reception as s1. let's just trust them since they also said that they are changing the designs

To clarify: the yellow Kaiju limbs aren’t actually there, they are a representation of how Kafka’s body is reacting to Kn2’s cells

to be fair its not a blade its a gunsword/bayonet, also look at it more carefully for a hidden detail into the new character.

Insane episode, even though i read the manga. I did not expect kafka to turn red when he turned berserk i just expected the blue to be more potent, Also i definetely thought of narumi as a blond or a black haired guy but pink? I mean its fine but it doesnt fit his character.
