- In this video I’ll be using materials I found in the forest to create a beautiful native terrarium ecosystem! Collecting your own materials is a great budget & beginner friendly way of getting into terrarium making. This relaxing tutorial will take you through the step by step process of creating your own mini ecosystem!
When collecting materials from nature make sure you have the landowner permission & more importantly be responsible. Remember, we are trying to re-create nature, not destroy it:)

As the substrate was straight from the forest floor it’ll be full with microfauna such as springtails & other small bugs! They will help keep the terrarium healthy & almost maintenance free! Hope you enjoy this more relaxing video:)

Which or what types of leaves or natural materials for substrate would be toxic to micro fauna.
I know wormwood is and pine to some.

So far my maintenance is ignoring the maintenance and it's doing fine lol

I truly envy you living somewhere you can go walkies and find moss and ferns just growing all around. My live oaks and pecans have some lichens, but I’ve never seen moss in the wild 😂

How do you treat your driftwood spider wood before putting it in a terrarium to avoid green mold growing I had spring tails and isopods but my spider wood still got green mold

I´ve got pretty much the same glass vessel on my table right in front of me right now, that was from IKEA years ago, actually to store sweets or something in it.
How often do you spray water in that terrarium?
I won’t be spraying it too often at all, twice a year should do the trick:)

Molding phase is normal, and adding more microfauna like springtails will solve this problem :)
