The geo stone looks so cool!
It doesn't need airflow?

we must spray it eneryday with water??
Nope, a terrarium like this won’t need watering again for a good few months:)
❤
Cool I love this ❤
You gotta have a little hiker in the terrarium or maybe a rock climber
That’s such a great idea! Gonna look online now😂

Where do you guys get all these supplies?? Particularly the hardscaping materials like rocks. Plants, too.
So happy I found this! I had one of these just appear in one of my terrariums. It was the size of a grain of dirt. Named him Lil Boi, but never knew what type of snail he was.
Wonderful video. Thank you so much for sharing.
That's awesome, I would like to make one for me but I didn't find anything in canada. Can you please give me plant's link for Canada. It would be a great help. Thanks
Hiii!!! My terrarium has been there for 6 months and some ficus and moss leaves are yellow. The substrate has worms casting, but I don't know if it is a lack of nutrients. ):
I love that you did this entire build without the use of expanding foam. That cork background looks absolutely stunning, this is the technique I've been looking for!
Lovethe new vid
Yet again another really good vid.. brought some oak leaf fig an planted cuttings an yep now i hav an endless supply.. lovely plant dont you think.

If I make a ecosystem with animals do I need to feed them? Because I’m just getting started
It depends what animals you put in it!
Noooo just british
Absolute pleasure watching your creative work
Thank you very much for sharing the videos, I'm enjoying them so much that I'm going to try to make one at home. When I was looking for materials, I had a question regarding the choice of the water pump. If the pump breaks down we will end up ruining the entire ecosystem. Is there any pump that you recommend that can be placed outside the aquarium? Thank you very much
I created one small terrarium but moss deied out completely once summer came
In my terrariums, the plants are growing nicely after 130 days. But the moss has gotten moldy. I added springtails, but the moss mold is still present. What am I doing wrong?
My carpet moss always dries up and I do not put it in direct sunlight also . So what's the issue and solution to this Please help 😥😥
Great technique. Keep up the great work ☺☺
Mate, superb job, honestly! Clear, simple, precise instructions with nothing held back. All hints and tips made available to make it all as seamless as possible. Complete list of everything used, reasons for use and source of acquisition. Nice clear understandable speech, providing just what is needed, nothing more nothing less, at right pace. Knowledge, skill and experience shared in a way that makes anyone feel confident they can comfortably attempt a similar project. Camera angles, lighting, sound..... mate, you've left nothing for a viewer to criticize :) First time stumbling upon the channel. Liked and subscribed of course, will definitely check out your other works as well. Hope i will find the time to have my own crack at one. Keep it up! Cheers
Ive only gotten about 3 stable terrariums setup after my first big bioactive vivarium i made for some day geckos- but! Something i found is that a little cling wrap and a rubber band around the mouth of the terrarium vessel works just as well as the acrylic discs you mentioned:)
To make the cover disks, buy a cheap poster frame and cut circles in the plastic. It's less expensive than acrylic
I've been trying to cultivate some mosses but I believe two of my biggest issues are lighting and substrate. Any help?
By the time you buy everything you need and time consumed might as well buy ready made
Do you have any idea why there is random cobwebs in my terrarium?
Random spider probably… I leave it as long as it doesn’t get too big
@@PurpleScaledBlacksmith but the cobwebs are big and everywhere and there’s only a tiny spider in there
Leva is similar to tepojal?
What if I don't have a kepet and a spray bottle bc I don't have them
You can use a small cup to water, just be very careful about how much water to add.
@@awildpersonappeared ok
you are so talented
I put slices of strawberry in a few of my terries and the isopods showed zero interest 😂 I've out cucumber in there before and the were all over it 🤷🏾 the springtails are loving all the mold, though 😅
I am very glad I found this channel. I used your video on how to make a terrarium guide and made one for Mother’s Day.
I made a fake bottom terrarium but I accidentally over-watered it on the first day, but even now the moss and the spider plants love it the fake bottom is almost full and the soil is always damp so should I let the water evaporate or should I leave it be?
I have multiple small once, some closed for years with no maintenance and my experience is. 00:00 Pick a suitable container (any will do) 1:21 Use a drainage layer if necessary (yes) 2:00 Use a substrate barrier (why again??) 2:56 Use a quality substrate (any will do, just make sure to include some from the garden or local forest, so you have beneficial bacteria and mold) 3:57 Get some tools! (a thin stick will do) 4:44 Best moss & plant species (if it fits the container in the future, it will do) 5:35 Don’t overwater! (as long as the glass becomes clear every day, your good to go, otherwise open the lit for a day and try again) 6:45 Use suitable lighting (why again?? you mean like direct sun light, that's works, just make sure you don't cook the contents on hot summer days, otherwise not a problem) 7:18 Open the terrarium every 1-2 weeks (Only needed if bio diversity isn't high enough) 7:37 Clean the glass! (Only needed if bio diversity isn't high enough, otherwise it cleans itself)
I’ve wanted to start making terrariums for a while now, and I just made my first from things in my backyard! Also, should you wash out your containers with soap? My jar was already clean, but I want to know for future reference please
My names suggested ⬇⬇ Praya Prai Moss Miss Moss Grape Apple Orchid Lola Piraya Maya Miley Mora Nora Bea
Could I use snail poop instead of worm castings? I have my own pet snails so this would be much cheaper for me.
Snails???
I’ve built some terrariums and the plants always do well but the moss always seems to struggle. It always either dies out or loses its color. Do you have advice on how to keep moss alive and vibrant?
If the plants are healthy, it may not be you! Some species of moss are not suited to living in a terrarium. Check the species of the moss you use and look it up. Common mosses that work well in terrariums include cushion moss, fern moss, tamarisk moss, java moss, sphagnum moss and sheet moss. You can probably find at least one of these species in a forest near you, or you can buy them. Hope this helps, and good luck!
you know my problem with keeping terrariums is rolly-polly's they just keep eating the leaves of the plants and when i try to remove them they already laid eggs in the soil and i guess some mites entered the terrariums and have made the plants weaker how should i do it?
Unfortunately they like to eat certain plant species. Ferns & ficus work really well in isopod setups
to goat has goated again
Thanks for the nice video! But what water should I use for my Terraruim?
I use dechlorinated tap water:)
@@TerrariumDesigns Thank you!
Thankyou for this. I do have question Does normal LED light works? And for how many hours does the lights needs to be on?
Normal LEDs work great:) I’ve used a desk lamp before & the plants loved it! For most of my ecosystems I have the lights on for 12 hours & off for 12 hours
@@TerrariumDesigns thankyou so much. New subscriber here :)
my biggest problem is huge mess after making a terrarium 😂
Haven’t found a fix for that one yet😂
