It means to lead in Dutch, and 'lijden', which is pronounced completely the same as 'leiden', means suffering

Drew, one of the YnAMP custom settings is a “Colonization” map, which encompasses California to I believe the Urals in Russia. It does come with TSL.

It certainly was a while ago, but I loved cheering through the civs in Civ5 videos of yours, seeing who might be the most powerful by the end. I get that making like 20 videos would be too much now, but maybe 5-10, closer to 5? Those series were pretty fun, even if slow-paced. Or you/he moved away completely from making such videos? (Probably yes, based on these condensed ones, which are fun too naturally, just was adding an idea.)

It’s been nice getting back to Civ.
Drew, maybe the New World game can be like this:
The map is mostly the New World, with the Old World nations across the ocean, but the catch is: The map stops at the coast lines of Europe/Africa, and the only non-warfare path to success is crossing the ocean and settling. Maybe start the Civs all on Renaissance tech? Or just enough tech to allow them to cross ocean tiles with settlers? Maybe even give them the second settler right off the bat so they instantly set up colonies. Maybe add loyalty for everything except capitals?

There's a giant, customizable map in YnAMP. You can set the custom borders on where you want it to start and end, so you can make it so it's just Europe and the Americas. I hope you see this and that it possibly helps.

I think AI only in civ 6 would work better with less AI's in the map. I suggest creating a series where all the alternate leaders in one civ battle each other.

Drew, I use the giant map all the time and had major crash issues until I lowered my graphics settings and memory impact to medium and never had an issue. Lower your graphic settings and it should run smoothly.

Idk if it’s at all possible, but you should do a paradox mega campaign, but use civ VI until ck2, you’d probably have to “convert” manually though, and that might be too much work

and for when you actually play the game, you could replay someone from your most viewed civ playthrough on the same map, same leaders, but with new mechanics obviously. Just to show off how the game had changed
If you do the old world vid you should do True World Start and start the Cree off in the New World when it gets colonized, that would be interesting

At least in Civ V the deity ai will spam into victory. The reason they might not be doing so well is because they don't have enough space to expand.
Even if you gave it a larger map they'd still clutter it with units.
I'd be OK with either of the map sizes for the full world map tbh.
