    That was really pretty astonishing - the speed of it.... well, you blinked and you'd missed something major happening. You could even have left it without any shadows, and I think it would still have worked; I was nervous for you when you introduced them, but it's all worked. You've developed a lot of courage as a watercolour painter - you say 'don't be afraid of making mistakes', and you then prove the point in your work.

      Thanks Robert. I've found that taking risks generally works out for the best. Obviously it doesn't always work but then you've still learned something regardless.
