    One term you forgot was Walk On. Whenever a ride has virtually no line we would call it a Walk On since you literally just “Walk on” to the loading platform and ride immediately.

    Great video on coaster terms and slang, in fact, I have a slang term called W.O.S. which stands of Walk of Shame and it means - a rider who is either too short or too large to ride a ride and must exit the attention in shame/disappointment. and believe me, I've seen it happen at my home park and it's just sad that people have to take the W.O.S. off any ride

There also was barely a thing called internet, it was just really slow dialup internet when it started. Also, the only recording devices were the old camcorders that consisted of a gigantic video recorder that you sat up on your shoulder and looked through a lens, that recorded on VHS tapes! All of that being said, thank you technology and I feel much older than I am!!😳😂

      @808CoasterLife  Před 4 lety

      You’re welcome for this 😉 I think most enthusiasts are fine with not having enough room as long as they’re not in pain because of how tight the restraint is on them. But I think the ride itself can also contribute to stapling and not just before you ride. Thanks for watching!

      I used the fusion tab to make a text and transform node. I keyframed the size from 0 to full-sized. I saved that as a “macro” which is basically a template for fusion compositions. After putting the template where I want, I put an adjustment clip under the text template to adjust the blur depending on what’s going on. This may sound complicated but there’s a lot of CZcams videos explaining how the fusion tab works.
      I’m glad to see more people using Resolve!!

    Question: what do "whip" "snap(py)" and "zip" mean?
    Also, does Lrot/frod apply to the actual first/last train dispatched or your personal first/last ride of the day?
    Thanks so much for this video, I am very new to the scene with approx. 8 credits so far 😅. While I had figured out most of the terms from context already, I was surprised to hear that "forceful" only includes positives...

    • @808CoasterLife
      @808CoasterLife  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I’ve never heard of “zip” being used but whip and snap basically mean the same thing. When a coaster quickly changes banking (roll), that moment would be whippy. I consider lrot/frot to be personal first/last since it’s hard to get on the exact first or last train of the day. Someone else will probably correct me if I’m wrong. I’m glad this video helps!

    • @808CoasterLife

      Thank you! An Immelmann is an inversion where you do a half loop going up but twist the other direction. On Valravn, Griffon, and Sheikra, an Immelman is the first inversion that follows the big first drop.
      A cobra roll is a double inversion which looks like a cobra from some angles. Boomerang roller coasters have cobra rolls as one of their signature elements.

      A top hat is usually an element right after a launch, that most of the time is an airtime hill on which both the ascent and descent are vertical. There’s also a couple of variations of the top hat, such as the inverted top hat, which is a top hat that doubles as an inversion (any element that goes upside down)
