    Just a general question... i recently purchased the sony x900h 75”, and have been screwing around with settings, and with all tvs in my limited experience, ive always wondered what the point of the alternate preset settings are? On this tv in particular the “standard” setting seems to be the most accurate and pleasing to me without question. with the other options available i never understand the purpose, u pick the setting that looks the most realistic as possible and they are always so drastically different with one clearly being most realistic. On “cinema” it just makes it look to have a greenish tint or something, and isnt what i want to watch a movie under. I just truly am interested to know y these options are available and when and y they are used. Also something like color settings (on this tv in particular) “expert 1&2” just make the picture look awful and “cool” always seems to be the most pleasing and accurate. I am curious as to what these settings are for.... a lot of probably 101 questions but appreciate the feedback if possible. Thanks a lot :-)

      masks are not meant to prevent you from getting sick, they are there to cover your exhale and protect others. Please don't confuse the reasons masks are mandated or their effectiveness with that of full bio-hazard respirators.
      Please do not wear masks with exhale valves as this defeats the purpose of wearing a mask.
      Again masks are worn to prevent the spread from the wearer to others NOT to protect the wearer in any meaningful way.

Properly sealed n95 T+ masks absolutely protect you from being infected via breathing. They do not stop you from being infected from contact that eventually finds it's way into your nose/mouth from your hands.

I just picked up A Quiet Place for 4K UHD Blu-ray from my local Walmart for $8CAD and at the till it came up as $12CAD so I got it for free. @@randybradley4151 And yes I have a collection of about 50 UHD Blurays, getting the 4KDI and decent HDR is very rare, most of them are compromised in one way or another and I just wait to buy the disc for $10 on a flash sale. Christopher Nolan is one of the only good producers in all of Hollywood.

      @@budthecyborg4575 I obviously don't have the tools he does but watching them on my 65" LG C9 the HDR is very good. As for peak brightness the sun scene he showed in his video doesn't even look similar when I watched the movie 3 times on my TV it makes me squint like I'm looking at the sun and watching that video he made my screen looks nothing like he showed. Also keep in mind what I said at the end of my comment should tell you that I did see the video. But that why I said in my opinion.

    Maybe my eyes but none of the Marvel films seem to peak at true HDR rather more upscales. I hear all the Bourne films look flat and washed out on 4k and although there is the added sharpness to at least the majority of their run times, I would like to know if the HDR applied was a win on Die Hard and Superman The Movie. Thanks :)

    I think the studios need to put some info on the packaging stating max nit level and also what the DI Resolution was used to make the disc. Too many 4K films are not true 4K either, so while TV manufactures are giving us the tools to enjoy what we’ve bought, the studios are giving us Sub-Par disks/streams etc.

    Good HDR is an exact representation of the creators intent. There are plenty of videos on you tube you can go watch to burn your retinas if that’s what pleases you.

    • @hdtvtest
      @hdtvtest  Před 3 lety

      So wrong. What's your definition of HDR? If it's just exact representation of creator's intent, SDR can achieve it too.

    • @corporalhicks86
      @corporalhicks86 Před 3 lety

      Wrong, I see HDR as a way of getting a wider colour gamut. Not to boost and over brighten the highlights

    • @hdtvtest
      @hdtvtest  Před 3 lety

      Again, your statement is incorrect - HDR is totally independent from WCG (wide colour gamut)... they are separate entities.
