That dude went full send on you and didn’t come close to sticking it. Too many people on the road side pull that crap. You had the right idea with the wide entry for good momentum coming off the corner.
Great composure. Great sportsmanship. IRacing can be brutal but also so rewarding when it all goes right.
It’s so refreshing to see that these things happen to us all. I try to learn something from every race but it doesn’t always stop the frustration. great vid as always 👍

This race was the craziest race that I've watch on your channel, feels bad for the unfortunate accident.
omg, that beginning, I wasn't paying attention and literally thought it was real. That was the first time I've ever been that confused if something was real or fake lol.
I can relate, although have you seen the gameplay trailer for Unrecorded? It really gave me a trip.
@@psyberpirate omg yeah, that was really crazy, I first saw it on twitter and thought it was like, leaked war footage or something at first. If it wasn't for the ragdoll physics or a little off vaulting animation in the trailer, I would have thought it was real lol.

Nothing more frustrating is sim racing than spending all that time practicing and qualifying only to have your race ruined less than 5 minutes in to the event. I don’t know how you stay so calm. I don’t have a ton of time to game so maybe that’s why I ABSOLUTELY RAGE

22:25 This inside line might have worked the Verstappen way: barely stay within track limits and force outside car to go off the track. However, the rear got loose and there was nothing to do after that.

OMG I was so confused all the time.. I was watching this video 3 times and thought it is hyper-realistic VR, I was already shocked and stunned at how real it looks and also confused how the game or a VR headset could capture such realistic smooth movement from your hands UNTIL I finally saw that it is just 3 monitors and a real wheel in front of them with your own real hands 🤣🤣💀 Mystery solved!
Been thinking about picking up an iracing sub for the online license and safety rating systems. Good to see you still get punted even at this level in iracing.
The driving standards have been atrocious lately. That said I had the most epic race I’ve ever had last night. Video of that coming soon.

I admire your ability to keep calm and not be so quick to jump into anger because that would be my immediate response to the incidents. What is your tip to maintaining your cool?
It’s incredibly frustrating sometimes but I just have to remember I’m very lucky to be able to do this for a living. I’ve also learnt to always look at the replay before exploding as it often tells a different story.
can you do a review of PSVR2 and compare it with your hyper-realistic setup? i just got mine and my "realistic" setup is complete 😂
What setup are you running Will? I think maybe with some more Downforce you could be faster through that fast left hander and maybe avoid a couple of those incidents. Julian Dunne’s VRS set this week is 👌
It’s a fixed setup series. More downforce would have definitely helped. His video was still helpful though.

The Radar overlay...have you found it useful? I've tried to get it to work reliably..it's fantastic at telling you a car is in front of you.
I don't know why iRacing or 3rd parties won't just blatantly copy ACC's radar.

Hey Will have you thought about jumping into a hosted league like one of the SRW Leagues or Premier Endurance League. You might see some better and definitely cleaner races
I just don’t have the time unfortunately. With those you only get one shot at a video.

I'd like to think the public might get a kick out of a once a week race, something like the TCR series. Races aren't too long, about 1.5hrs all up if you only streamed the quali and race.
I'm no streamer/content maker though only a watcher.

It’s what makes sim racing totally unrealistic
They toned down the damage recently. In GT cars is actually more realistic now so you can sustain alittle damage and keep driving.

@@boostedmedia If your heart rate is not significantly lower while not sim racing, I would definitely get it checked out. I have a bit of an elevated heart rate while sim racing vs just sitting, but your heart rate is in the range of someone jogging or even sprinting. A sustained heart rate of over 100bpm in adults when resting is considered tachycardia.
It’s just a mixture of my anxiety and my fitness not being great at the moment which I’m working on. My resting heart rate is around 70-80.
That’s great to hear it’s normal otherwise. Sorry to be invasive, but didn’t want to say nothing and have it be something. I also have to remember I’m not trying to make CZcams content while doing I’m driving as well, my heart rate would probably be pretty high too. Thanks for the awesome videos!

I did same kind of experience yesterday on the GR road america. But still the collision physics is so weird in iracing. That t1 merge of the cars is a joke. Both cars should have broken nose and front weels.
I had a similar experience too. May have even been the same race. To top it off I got 7X by some dude playing skittles with the field after the race had ended.
I've given up on this series because every race I've done was pretty much like that. I don't know why people are som much more aggressive in F3 races than other series.

“Good job buddy” when collecting him was entirely your fault haha…
You messed up a bunch of stuff for this corner… you said you were “coaxing him to the outside” but you left him over half the track to the inside… when you saw that he was diving inside and commuting to it (and late on his breaking point), you still carried more of your “normal” line for the corner.
All you had to do was be a little more patient for the cross back and let him loop instead of driving into him and saying “good job buddy”. On lap 2, patience young one!
Hey Will, you should get a check up with your GP regarding your resting heart rate. You may have an underlying arrhythmia
you cant full throttle a f3 car at the start your tyres will spin so idk what this guy does but that does feel unrealistic to me
Guy is taking turn 4 a car width off the racing line and it’s like “he should be in the right there to open up the left turn”, and a few laps later Will does the same thing and gets hit because he’s slow mid corner.
Then it’s “he’s moving towards the right” and “I was going straight so it’s more on him” after there was contact as the track starts turning right after turn 2.
Oh the irony! Lmao wish sim racers would just own it a little more instead of criticising others and then doing the same thing but suddenly it’s the other persons fault.
