I actually have a theory on why there's such a quality difference between the Twins of Terror and the Eye of Terror. We know from Klei's update posts that the Eye for an Eye update was supposed to be part of this year's Hallowed Nights event, but got delayed? My guess is that the delays where on Re-Logic's end. So Klei, realizing they had a bit of extra time, pushed the twins as a last-minute addition for players who wanted a more challenging fight than the Eye. This would explain why the Twins feel so lack-luster in nearly every facet. It's because Klei never planned to add the twins in the first place. And when they managed to squeeze them in, they didn't have time to balance/test them properly.
it's especially odd that the helmet is dropped by the base boss rather than The Twins when the shield is one of the most iconic drops in the game and getting it after EoC is basically a right of passage into the rest of the early game as having a dash (which it provides) is simply that important, the helmet makes more sense as the twins drop as not only is it better in DST but it being cosmetic doesn't really tie it into an iconic drop from EoC itself, but, I dunno, that's just my take on it.
I'm glad that Deerclops' bossfight in Terraria turned out the way that it did, it's attack pattern is really creative and actually gives a challenge at that point of the game. Also, the fact that it doesn't despawn if you die or get too far from it (like in DST) is a cool detail. #IWantDontStarve
The Deerclops actually can't toss ice prjectiles upwards when it's on a platform, it can only do it when it's on the ground (8:43). He will still perform the animation cast of the ice projectiles but no ice will shoot upwarsds.
On a playthrough in a new world in Terraria, Deer Clops literally spawned as my first boss, took like 30 or so deaths to wittle down his health bar since he doesn't despawn. either way this was an enjoyable collab! #IWantDontStarve
The shield for deerclops was honestly such a cool mechanic to just stop players from flying around shooting it and makes them actually have to get close to the boss. #IWantTerraria
Yeah nah. It was just another feature to me that makes melee the only viable class. 3/4 classes rely on the most part on being somewhat ranged. The other is already ridiculously overpowered.

I love both of those games and seeing them together make's me happy they made this collab soo well. I like how you can see that it's from terraria or don't starve but the bosses are so iconic and well translated inside the games #IwantDontStarve
It's really fun to see my top two favorite games collab with eachother, however I'm a console player so I won't be able to experience the terraria side of the crossover. In my opinion, I think the Don't Starve Together side of the collab did alot more, not in a bad way or anything, however the fact that the eye of terror drops milky whites is so good! It's an easy boss and is always good to fight since milky whites counts as dairy in a crockpot, so easy ice cream, or anything else that requires milk. However on Terraria's side, since Deerclops is pre-hardmode most of it's drops will be outshined by other Weapons and the such. However over all I am very happy with this collab, and I really think it's a dream come true. #IWantDontStarve
The Terraria additions are quite good. Deerclops is a fun boss to fight, with creative loot that makes you want to fight him multiple times. Chester, Glommer, and Abigail look adorable in the Terraria style too. And the Magiluminescence is such a good accessory that I literally speedrun it in any world I play. Lmao
For the deerclops terraria fight, the strat imo, is no platforms, flat land and staying really close so he just constantly does two attacks and its very easy to manage
i swear this crossover shall remain very dear to my heart, the fact that it came unexpectedly out of nowhere and its two of my most beloved indie games really puts a smile to my face
both of these games are such nostalgia machines for me, i had a lot of good times playing each of them with my friends, and this, in a way, blurs the line between the too (a little bit literally) #IWantDontStarve
I was introduced to DST by this crossover. bought the game and instantly hooked. i even got my friend some steam gift cards and told him to buy DST and Terraria(he always loved Terraria but he used to use a pirated copy). and he really loves DST too! im just glad that i have a friend that is always there by my side... even if it takes 5 hours for him to respond :)
I was kind of hoping for Wortox to be one of those randomly spawning merchant NPCs that can't be put into a home. Like the skeleton merchant, and the traveling merchant.
I like how Deerclops in shadow has a red eye like Feastclops, it’s a nice touch. :) Also, it’s my personal headcanon that Lucy is going nuts in Terraria cause Woody ain’t there
I love that the new boss in DST is somewhat beginner-friendly and not have to rely on late-game equipment. Just a spear and a helmet and you're good to go. And it also lets me (mainly a dst player) have banter with my terraria pals #IWantDontStarve
I like that the items added in DST aren't just pointless side items, but actually useful and could become "meta" at pre-ruins. Shield even further, as it leaves body AND head slot open, for maginuminescence and thermal gear, for example. #IWantDontStarve
I did a bit of research and there is another use for milky whites and if you combine 1 milky whites and 1 bacon and eggs you get a friendly peeper which is a new pet crafted at a rocky den
Deerclops can throw ice balls in the air only if he is on an ice block, a snow block, or a stone block And since you were using platforms, he wasn’t able to use his attack.
I'm really proud of myself, despite having 200 hours deerclops was the toughest boss I've ever legitemately killed, meaning I've only killed him and treeguards before, but now i can also say I've killed the eye of terror :D #IWantTerraria
I really like the way they did the crossover. It feels in place in both games, and doesn't hurt any of the titles. Terraria will definitely do more crossovers, I don't know abou DST. The one thing I don't like is that the weaker boss droppes the better equipment in DST. #IWantDontStarve #IWantTerraria
You can fight deerclops whenever you want because for some reason unlike Every other boss it never despawns. So you can just chip away with a copper shortsword for a few hours

This crossover is in my opinion an incredibly game changing for BOTH GAMES, don't starve gets a new reliable way to get gears and dairy items but also two refillable armors one of them being the first weapon in the game with a defence statline. Terraria on the other hand gets a new boss accessible BEFORE hard mode meaning it increases the amount of early game loot the game has, which is something that Terraria always has a constant need of. An incredible crossover for a fan of both games. #IWantTerraria
I don't play terraria but I'm really glad they did the collab because both of the games are kinda similar in some aspects, also i love the new bosses #IWantDontStarve
I'm a Terrarian, so let me just say. The hambat well fed thing is three case for all weapons. Having a food item along with your potions becomes essential in harder mods or if you're not good at the game. Most of the weapons will suffice for phm, but all but Abigail fail to do enough past phm. Movement accessories are always loved by the terraria community, so I imagine they'll be joyous to use the new amulet with their Terraspark boots, though I don't think most will use it in combat, as terraspark boots do enough work and the remaining 4/5/6(respective to the difficulty, an additional accessory slot is earned every increase in difficulty mode) accessories on damage dealing accessories. I am a huge fan of the cosmetics added, and deerclops is a great addition to the boss pool, but honestly I kinda wish they had added weapons to hard mode too, as arguably the longest part of your playthrough is in hardmode. the last collab added content for all parts of the game, and despite the terraria community's lack of interest, betsy drops some of the best equipment for hardmode, such as Betsy's wrath comboing with the golden shower to knock 60 defence off enemies. Overall the collab was great for Terraria , but i feel it could've been better. It got me back into DST though, and i think the content added to DST was great.
Yeah agreed, kinda wish they added a shadow themed boss deep into hardmode or something. I used Abby to kill Master Mode Duke Fishron with pre-mech gear this morning and i dare say shes my second favorite minion just because the Firecracker exists, with that whip and abby with 7 summons this fight was a blast. And imo Magiluminescence is one of the best equips now, i absolutely love that sweet 20% movespeed and acceleration, it saved my ass multiple times already. Problem me and my friends have with doing OOA is that it takes a looong time of just sitting around doing nothing, sometimes holding mouse 1. And on higher difficulties the enemies are so tanky that if you can manage to defend the crystal odds are your current weapon far outperforms anything the event offers.
@@Matheus-uv1dc personally as a magic user, betsy's wrath is a must pick up from Betsy in harder playthoughs. -40 defence is insane, especially since most bosses are not immune to it.

I think the terraria preset has 2 main goals 1. Make a world kind of similar to terraria (more bunnies, only killer bees, etc. 2. Make an easy world so that terraria players start playing DST and don’t stop. (No shadow creatures, no lightning)
I think it’s be cool if the shield of terror was able to let you dash on both enemies and for mobility if you dash on an enemy it would both stun it and you briefly and deal damage and if you use it as mobility you could dash to avoid an attack
I do feel Don't Starve's additions feel a bit less substantial that Terraria's, but makes sense knowing the overall number of items in each game and said games' balance #IWantTerraria
In my opinion, the twins are a fantastic pre-ruins boss, I understand how some people can see the shield can be pretty underwhelming, sense it's just an infinite tentacle spike. But I love the shield because as a Wanda main I struggle with inventory management, and the backpack is at times storing everything else that isn't a watch, sense half my inventory is going to the watches. And while going to the ruins, having a lantern, armor, miner hat, backpack, and a weapon is often a challenge, not impossible but it's tedious. The shield is the perfect answer to my weapon and armor problem, because it handles both armor and damage, while my head and body slot can be focused on storage and light. Although, I just need to figure out how to kill the twins. #IWantDontStarve

This crossover was so cool in my opinion. I like how they made up a story to explain the fact that we have flying eyeballs (organic or robotic) in the game now, not to mention the one eyed deer friend of pixels in Terraria. #IWantTerraria

The twins of terror is one of the most fun boss to speedrun in my opinion, and I definitely say it's worth giving it a shot. The fact that you can only attack it during night kinda slows it down, but I think the minimum time it takes to beat is 24 minutes IGT (but I haven't gotten that time yet, that's like seeded run material)
i feel like the Eye Mask could have been a sanity drain item, i don't play DST but i haven't heard of many sanity draining items other than that seaweed garland i forgot the name. as for the Shield it could have been the same thing from Terraria: you dash towards a direction or into an enemy, dealing high damage, maybe it could lose some durability after each dash and some more after hitting an enemy. many people ask for Klei to add Wheeler (and Hamlet characters in general) to DST so maybe the shield could have been a gift for those people

Dst x Terraria crossover is really fun. The thing that I really love about this update was the new skins in dst for me atleast they look like they are from a different dimension. I haven't fought the eye of terror yet but I know its gonna be fun playing with friends (and probably dying). #IWantTerraria
I love this update, but my main issue about it is the story of how the world collided, what i was expecting was Charlie and the moon lord was gonna fight each other for power, like Charlie taking Steves lunar power for her own incase she couldn't take the power from the don't starve moon and the moon lord taking shadow magic for himself to become a master of light and dark or something like that, but all I got was wortox bugs bunnying his was through the multiverse, not that i hate it of course, but that's the main thing that bugs me #IWantTerraria for a friend
I think they did that with Wortox because the two worlds colliding isn't supposed to be "canon" or affect the lore and story Klei already has planned for the game
I have been able to play the new Don’t Starve update and it’s pretty awesome adding a lot new items, reskins, 2 new bosses (even if one is just a reskin and a buff) , and more. I haven’t been able to play the terraria one yet, but from what I’ve seen the terraria one definitely does not disappoint and even adds a new world option thing just that acts like Don’t Starve. Don’t Starve added something similar, they added a Terraria world preset, however all it does is change the world settings and doesn’t actually add any new items or change how the world looks, I would have enjoyed if they added something like the Corrupt or Crimson biomes with this Preset. Overall I feel like even though both updates were good Terraria got the better side of the eye. #IWantTerraria
Have you played a lot of don't starve? I feel like it's quite easy to pick bias when you arnt familiar with the game. I've played plenty of both and can say that terraria got more but don't starves content was more meaningful
I think both sides of the crossover are great, but in my opinion don't starve definitely got the short end of the stick, what did get added is amazing, but there really isn't that much new content besides skins, especially compared to what got added to terraria
Getting the Dragonfly as a desert exclusive boss would be cool considering there's no biome exclusive boss there right now, and it's one of the most iconic DS bosses. Virtually no chance of it happening now, but it'd be cool!
ive only recently gotten into DST from the terraria crossover and practically fell in love with the tim burton -like style, i only wish dst was on switch rather than just the first game #IWantDontStarve
I agree with your opinion the the shield of terror, for such a great fight you think it would have something else that comes with it. Personally I thought a dash attack like woodies moose form would be cool for the shield of terror as a secondary form of attack. In terraria the shield allows for a dash so it wouldn’t be out of character for the item. #IWantTerraria

I love how these bosses aren’t limited time events and are entirely fresh and new bosses that change up gameplay in small but fun ways.

This crossover is in my opinion an incredibly game changing for BOTH GAMES, don't starve gets a new reliable way to get gears and dairy items but also two refillable armors one of them being the first weapon in the game with a defence statline.
Terraria on the other hand gets a new boss accessible BEFORE hard mode meaning it increases the amount of early game loot the game has, which is something that Terraria always has a constant need of.
An incredible crossover for a fan of both games.

I'm a Terrarian, so let me just say. The hambat well fed thing is three case for all weapons. Having a food item along with your potions becomes essential in harder mods or if you're not good at the game. Most of the weapons will suffice for phm, but all but Abigail fail to do enough past phm. Movement accessories are always loved by the terraria community, so I imagine they'll be joyous to use the new amulet with their Terraspark boots, though I don't think most will use it in combat, as terraspark boots do enough work and the remaining 4/5/6(respective to the difficulty, an additional accessory slot is earned every increase in difficulty mode) accessories on damage dealing accessories. I am a huge fan of the cosmetics added, and deerclops is a great addition to the boss pool, but honestly I kinda wish they had added weapons to hard mode too, as arguably the longest part of your playthrough is in hardmode. the last collab added content for all parts of the game, and despite the terraria community's lack of interest, betsy drops some of the best equipment for hardmode, such as Betsy's wrath comboing with the golden shower to knock 60 defence off enemies. Overall the collab was great for Terraria , but i feel it could've been better. It got me back into DST though, and i think the content added to DST was great.
Yeah agreed, kinda wish they added a shadow themed boss deep into hardmode or something.
I used Abby to kill Master Mode Duke Fishron with pre-mech gear this morning and i dare say shes my second favorite minion just because the Firecracker exists, with that whip and abby with 7 summons this fight was a blast. And imo Magiluminescence is one of the best equips now, i absolutely love that sweet 20% movespeed and acceleration, it saved my ass multiple times already.
Problem me and my friends have with doing OOA is that it takes a looong time of just sitting around doing nothing, sometimes holding mouse 1. And on higher difficulties the enemies are so tanky that if you can manage to defend the crystal odds are your current weapon far outperforms anything the event offers.
@@Matheus-uv1dc personally as a magic user, betsy's wrath is a must pick up from Betsy in harder playthoughs. -40 defence is insane, especially since most bosses are not immune to it.

Retnazer should shoot a laser in its second phase - like the winter's feast deerclops - and Spazmatism should spit a big fireball that has a slow arch into the air, then a large aoe burst

I think the terraria preset has 2 main goals
1. Make a world kind of similar to terraria (more bunnies, only killer bees, etc.
2. Make an easy world so that terraria players start playing DST and don’t stop. (No shadow creatures, no lightning)

Not all terraria bosses are hard to summon. Some just appear if you break the wrong block or if the game "thinks" you're ready
I think it’s be cool if the shield of terror was able to let you dash on both enemies and for mobility if you dash on an enemy it would both stun it and you briefly and deal damage and if you use it as mobility you could dash to avoid an attack
I do feel Don't Starve's additions feel a bit less substantial that Terraria's, but makes sense knowing the overall number of items in each game and said games' balance

In my opinion, the twins are a fantastic pre-ruins boss, I understand how some people can see the shield can be pretty underwhelming, sense it's just an infinite tentacle spike. But I love the shield because as a Wanda main I struggle with inventory management, and the backpack is at times storing everything else that isn't a watch, sense half my inventory is going to the watches. And while going to the ruins, having a lantern, armor, miner hat, backpack, and a weapon is often a challenge, not impossible but it's tedious. The shield is the perfect answer to my weapon and armor problem, because it handles both armor and damage, while my head and body slot can be focused on storage and light. Although, I just need to figure out how to kill the twins. #IWantDontStarve

This crossover was so cool in my opinion. I like how they made up a story to explain the fact that we have flying eyeballs (organic or robotic) in the game now, not to mention the one eyed deer friend of pixels in Terraria. #IWantTerraria

The twins of terror is one of the most fun boss to speedrun in my opinion, and I definitely say it's worth giving it a shot. The fact that you can only attack it during night kinda slows it down, but I think the minimum time it takes to beat is 24 minutes IGT (but I haven't gotten that time yet, that's like seeded run material)

i feel like the Eye Mask could have been a sanity drain item, i don't play DST but i haven't heard of many sanity draining items other than that seaweed garland i forgot the name. as for the Shield it could have been the same thing from Terraria: you dash towards a direction or into an enemy, dealing high damage, maybe it could lose some durability after each dash and some more after hitting an enemy. many people ask for Klei to add Wheeler (and Hamlet characters in general) to DST so maybe the shield could have been a gift for those people
the shield should definitely give a charge attack for the dont starve.

You can still use 1 monster meat + 3 ice, and monster meat is honestly much more plentiful than morsels, so it's barely a nerf.

Dst x Terraria crossover is really fun. The thing that I really love about this update was the new skins in dst for me atleast they look like they are from a different dimension. I haven't fought the eye of terror yet but I know its gonna be fun playing with friends (and probably dying). #IWantTerraria
I've never played Don't Starve, (don't even know much about it) but from the looks of it, Terraria got a lot better in terms of content.

I love this update, but my main issue about it is the story of how the world collided, what i was expecting was Charlie and the moon lord was gonna fight each other for power, like Charlie taking Steves lunar power for her own incase she couldn't take the power from the don't starve moon and the moon lord taking shadow magic for himself to become a master of light and dark or something like that, but all I got was wortox bugs bunnying his was through the multiverse, not that i hate it of course, but that's the main thing that bugs me

I think they did that with Wortox because the two worlds colliding isn't supposed to be "canon" or affect the lore and story Klei already has planned for the game

I have been able to play the new Don’t Starve update and it’s pretty awesome adding a lot new items, reskins, 2 new bosses (even if one is just a reskin and a buff) , and more. I haven’t been able to play the terraria one yet, but from what I’ve seen the terraria one definitely does not disappoint and even adds a new world option thing just that acts like Don’t Starve. Don’t Starve added something similar, they added a Terraria world preset, however all it does is change the world settings and doesn’t actually add any new items or change how the world looks, I would have enjoyed if they added something like the Corrupt or Crimson biomes with this Preset. Overall I feel like even though both updates were good Terraria got the better side of the eye. #IWantTerraria
Have you played a lot of don't starve? I feel like it's quite easy to pick bias when you arnt familiar with the game. I've played plenty of both and can say that terraria got more but don't starves content was more meaningful

I think both sides of the crossover are great, but in my opinion don't starve definitely got the short end of the stick, what did get added is amazing, but there really isn't that much new content besides skins, especially compared to what got added to terraria
But just imagine If they added all four seasonal bosses to terraria. Seeing bearger moose goose and dragonfly in terraria 🥵
Getting the Dragonfly as a desert exclusive boss would be cool considering there's no biome exclusive boss there right now, and it's one of the most iconic DS bosses. Virtually no chance of it happening now, but it'd be cool!

I agree with your opinion the the shield of terror, for such a great fight you think it would have something else that comes with it. Personally I thought a dash attack like woodies moose form would be cool for the shield of terror as a secondary form of attack. In terraria the shield allows for a dash so it wouldn’t be out of character for the item. #IWantTerraria

Hoping the shield is an armour item that also have dash ability, don't know how useful that is but considering expert mode drop give you that item.
