Boy ahoy!! 😂
The motor trade is tough at the moment but not that bad 😂
How much did white seat Leon sell for thanks
Apologies if anyone has already commented on this, the trim indicator on the Volvo DP drive legs of this era work off a rotary cog on the top of the outdrive (steering hood). the cog is rotated in a track on the top of the drive as the leg trims up or down. To calibrate it, let the leg fully down, unscrew the track and move to the side, then rotate the cog until the dashboard indicator shows approx. -4 / -5 and the green LED's are lit.
When done, reattach the track so the cog runs inside it. The trim control on the dash should then allow the leg to trim up and down within the 'green' range of the LED's (up to +4/5). Press the button next to the up/down trim and pull the trim up and the leg will trim up to the top. The green trim range is for use when the boat is in motion (limited trim range), when you push the button to trim the leg right up, that's for trailering / drying out etc (Red LED range indicates that you shouldn't had the engine running and drive in gear).
Hope this helps.

Always amazes me the breadth of knowledge out there! How would you get this level of expertise when you didn’t even know you had to Google it!
Shows how nasty the world has become when you see so many CZcams content creators worried about offending people. Unless something is deliberately gratuitous people should mind their own business.
Another good video lads. The boat is coming along nicely.
I'm waiting to see it on AQUAHOLIC 😁
Can't wait to see how it cleans up after a trip down to the chaps at the local car wash 😁
Two best days of owning a boat are the day you buy it and the day you sell it.
As I said before guys you will make my year to see Chris with his parrot on his shoulder ! Cannot wait Rob
No one would be offended by a man without his shirt surely. Rob, its turning a corner not turning a circle xxxxx made me giggle. 🙂
Get it out on the water! Enjoy the few days of summer!!
Looking great. You'll really enjoy that boat when it gets in the water.
And relax too. It'll be really good for you both to get a time off, and get the batteries charged.
She is getting so close to finishing now just a few parts left to add. I understand that it is quite restricted in the engine bay even for you Rob but you have made good progress. Don't stop now Gents just crack on and lets see her in the water very soon. Great video Rob and Chris thanks for the update on the boat. 👍👍
Chris seems to do all the bloody hard work while rob just hoses water 😂😂
Good afternoon Rob and Chris, good to see the boat making progress and I’m looking forward to the water trials. Thank you for taking the time to upload another video. Ged.
This is like an old Sunday bonus video! 🙌
It is a Sunday video that took 3 days of hard work to record and complete
The 2 best days of boat ownership are the day you bought it and the day you sold it .
Ouch! (Sounds like you were stung Antonio!) 🤔

@@Rugbyman269 You forgot Range Rovers 🤣
Hey Rob, best way to get rid of all that water is to drill a big hole in the floor, problem solved 👌🏼
O dear 🤦🏻♂️ lol
@@sruk well it could work 😂😂
When it comes down to ironing out money the only thing that comes close to a boat …is a horse ! ..these two things were put on earth to keep rich people in touch with their poor roots ..🤑
A raw water cooled engine will always have shit in it, the best you can do see flush it after every run so you need to fit an adapter in the water take up to take a hose fitting. It's easy to do you need a a ball valve fitting to be able to shut down the hose connection when it's not is use. When running on the hose connection DON'T take the engine over 1500 rpm as the water supply won't be able to keep up. I run 2 boats with closed cooling but have experience with what you are dealing with here, so any questions please just ask. Chris
The one we've been waiting for🎉
Rob can't wait see you and Chris out on the boat keep up great work 👍👍
Been doing marine electrical/electronics for 40 years now so I'm 'keeping an eye' on those systems as you deal with them. Good work - keep it up!
But bypassing a fuse ?
Rob it always amazes me no matter what you buy car ,van ,jet ski, boat ,pick up you no how to fix them up to a top spec brill video again mate very interesting to someone like me looking forward to see 👀 her sea trials take care and stay lucky and healthy 👍 looking forward to Wednesday's video 📹 already 😊❤
Hi Rob and Chris, nice to see some boat progress, something different and interesting.. Alex.
Spend a weekend on the water with it, you'll love it.
Great work Rob and Chris. I love all your video's. I have only found your channel in the last couple of months while recovering from a knee replacement. Hope you both have a good week. Marc from Australia
Can't wait to see you out on the water in the next one, fellas!
Hello Rob and Chris, nice work on the yacht, the propeller is working good, great progress so far.the weather looks nice but hot .
Best you get onto Nick at Aquaholic and see if you guys can arrange collaboration. Could be a few epic videos!
Great video as usual, looking forward to see the sea trial.
The bilge pump has a float switch along it, this is fed direct from the service battery via a fuse, providing auto pump out of the engine bay when ever water is in the bilge. The switch on the helm panel you used is a manual override, supplied from a circuit breaker in the cabin DC switch panel. This provides independent dual feed and supply to the bilge pump. There is a second bilge pump in the cabin wired the same, the manual override switch is located on the DC panel for this one.
Correct
A happy Rob. Chris looked a bit apprehensive but put things back with Rob's help. Good thing to take it forward in what is supposed to be our summer. Hope you can get it out soon.
So happy your cracking on with this guy's soon be on the water 👌👌👌
I can’t wait to see it in the water great video lads 👍

Great to see the boat back, can't wait to see the sea trials.
That looked hard graft, but almost there! Nice one. 👍👍👍
when you clean upthe water pump get a new imperrer and a spare one too! as its like a spare auxiliary belt in your car, stops you being stranded, no hard shoulder in the bristol channel!
Looking forward to seeing it in the water.

Cant wait for the sea trial👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Good HMS Rebuilds is on its way! Now where is the motorhome?? Very good video, thanks guys!
Hopefully she'll be ready just in time for some sunny weather.
Great video, immaculate preparation of the stripped parts, then careful rebuilding of everything. Amazed that you can get all the parts you need, since boats tend to be one-off builds for an individual customer. Can’t wait for you to get the cheesecutter out Rob for the maiden voyage 2, with Chris on the jet ski as rescue boat 👍😎😂🇬🇧
It was nice to see you get back on 5his one and maybe get it out on the water! 👍🇨🇦
Enjoyed this vid on the boat, can't wait for sea trials guys
ship ahoy uncle albert
Another good video guys, you two take it all in your stride but as a landlubber I couldn't think about taking that boat out even if you had done the engine .
One evening Rob watch some CZcams clips on using the trim control - makes a huge difference to how the boat performs and steers with just fine adjustments. Trim down to accelerate from stop, then trim up to lift the bow when the boat is in the plane - you fine tune to a point where the boat feels settled in a groove with least resistance - you’re trying to have as little boat in the water as possible when on the plane, without it porpoising (bow starting to nod up and down). Oh and make sure your fuel system is A1 - pre-filters, water separator clear, and an immaculately clean tank.
@@keithfletcher6123 had quiet a few boats over the years 👍
Great effort lads ,that looks like a 1st gen chevy 4.3 v6 if it is one they are a great engine can go 2 ,3 hundred thousand had a pickup
Here in the states with one run brilliant
Nearly there 🎉🎉🎉
Well done boys, been wondering about this project and when it was going to be completed, not long now when you’ll be swinging the lantern!
Would love this for my 4 sons
Great work as always can’t wait to see it in the water
Nice one lads, great to see the boat get ship shape again, can I just say, at 18:53 the leg was coming up, but your green light still shows leg down for some reason.... edit just heard Chris say this later
Looking good Rob what no short 😍 well done guys. And by the way took a damage wheel to smarts and got 10% of thank you 👍

About time boys happy days 👍👍👍
Fair play I've only ever done one boat up and boy did it take it out of me 9 months doing car after car and doing the boat crazy days
Hello both, a lot of effort has gone into this project and has progressed well. Best wishes from Lincolnshire
Nice lads
Keep at it lads, summer is due ( I think) 😂👍
Great video guys 👍👍
Great work. Should be using marine grade fuel hose.
Cheers guys
Looking pretty flash guys. Aussie Graham.
Nice work, been waiting on this boat update.
I did hear you switched ignition on to work your pump, normally your main bilge is hard wired, with a float switch near it.
Obviously it will step up without your intervention.
Great video boys what's next a train and a plane well done 👏 ✔️
Watercraft,so cool 👍
Roll on the sea trials
All bilges in all boats are where all the debris ends up. The bilge pump is an important piece of kit as it kicks in automatically when the water reaches a certain level, although some new pumps 'hunt' for water every few minutes and start up if water is detected. Bilge pumps prevent the boat sinking if there is water ingress, They should be chhecked every time you set foot onnthe boat.
Well done and looking forward to the sea trials. Will you launch her into the water from the trailer, if so think about that manouver and take some local advice about the slipway you are using along with the tides heights round the Kent coast.❤
Please make sure the hose is ethanol rated and you check it regularly. Fires are a real risk on boats.
codan r9 should be used
The heat must be unreal mate....
Let's get it on the water ❤
Nice one rob mate well done was interested to see the crack with this one mate
Savage lads 🤟🤟
Your sweating as much as a 63 plate transit van on a MOT ramp 😂😂
Cheers fellas 🧇
Cleanliness next to godliness.
Better than my mates in the RNLI fishing you out of of the drink!
Prior preparation & planning prevents p**s poor perfomance.
Enjoy the water, but be safe out there.
Although I'm not into boats, I have been waiting for this project to continue, together with the camper.
One thing though after I been following you since the find of the abandoned black focus.
Your videos need to be abit longer. Cheers
I am in channel is and currently have monsoon - .make the most of topless weather as it's headed your way Rob
The sea water ( raw water) wont go through the engine block. It will need antifreeze/ inhibitor in it, that water also goes around the calorifier coil to give you domestic hot water for your taps and shower.
It does go through the engine it’s cooled by the water it’s in
Take your jet ski to tow it just in case lol carnt wait to see the next video on it
Might work the same, might not , but I bought a bike that had been sat ages and had a rusty fuel tank and deposits kept clogging the lines so i flushed it all and used petseal inside. it was really good stuff and never had an issue again. Might keep the pump deposits free if its sat for any length of time again
