Sadly, 9-11 happened two weeks after her death and the world went into mourning for that tragedy. I remember being in college that year. Aaliyah was blazing due to her new album. TRL on MTV was popular in Times Square. She was gaining major cross over appeal with The Queen of the Damned & then The Matrix sequels. 9-11 came and the shift, rightfully so, was the twin towers in NY. Any major investigations or news coverage into her murder that could have happened just didn't. It's funny, I typed "her murder" in the previous sentence without thinking. In 20 years since her passing, I've never called it murder, but it just never felt right.

The pilot was a licensed pilot who could fly the type of plane they used but he was arrested two weeks prior to the accident and his license should've been suspended by the airline company. He may not be talked about much now but he was definitely in the headlines heavily during that era. Just Google his name and you'll find countless articles on him. Luis Morales III was his name.

During her last days, she was extremely tired. When she did her last performance, "More Than A Woman" on Jay Leno, she was tired. She had a signing event either, before or after the performance and in the video she said how tired she was. She was always trying to be everything to everyone and she was running on empty.

"Dr. Raju also confirmed that the star was vulnerable as she had a weak heart, and would never have survived the shock even if she had survived the immediate crash." According to the doctor, her heart was already weak prior to the crash. But her injuries made it almost impossible for a full recovery.
Aaliyah's and her crew deaths will never sit right with me. First of all they didn't even have to go to the Bahamas they could have stayed in Miami, the pilot was on drugs and not even license to fly, they could have waited a day later for the larger plane etc. The Bahamas needs to give out more information and others who know more details for closure for her family, friends, fans etc and the family and friends of the other people who loss their lives. They should create a memorial in her memory and the other lives loss too. 21 years later we are still wanting answers. This was through breakdown and video Tony.

They could’ve taken the larger plane the day she left . It was a lie that the small plane was the only option due to “rushing” . the small Plane was booked the night before but was supposed to be a Cessna a bit bigger. Aaliyah was not given a sleeping pill. The autopsy report stated she went into "such a state of shock that if she lived her recovery would not be likely". So how would she go into shock if she was sleeping?
First of all, how could she be in shock when they said she died instantly. You all have to think. Much of this story, from start to finish, has been a cover story. And I absolutely believe she was unconscious, as her body was found curled in a fetal position. Who goes to sleep that fast after take off. It's because she already was asleep.

I read that Tim and Missy were not really Aaliyah's friends like that. They were more like her 'handlers'. Supposedly those two were pimping her out for deals. It explains why they hardly mention her. They probably don't want sensitive information coming out or people questioning them. He was asked who he thought was fine (cute) and he replied Aaliyah. He might have had a thing for her but she was already with the king of L’s Damon Dash. I never believed the media accounts of the plane crash just like I didn’t believe the media accounts of 9/11 a couple weeks after. Even then as a teenager, both catastrophic events seemed so incredibly staged 🤔

It’s not a stupid question at all. Most light aircraft in use today do not have black boxes. And there are a couple of reasons for this - the most prominent being weight, costs, and complexity. While black boxes are mandatory for commercial and business aircraft, the aviation authorities in the US and most other countries do not require them for other types of aircraft.

For those that think hype was completely unaware of anything it’s not true. His production company overloaded the planes with equipment on the way there and his production company was directly in communication with the flight arrangements, just looking into it.
Hype took the bigger plane for himself that could have possibly loaded the equipment on. That’s why Lenny probably offered the plane for them. Not so Hype can get his trifling behind on it without the equipment and some of the passengers.
Aaliyah insisted on going back home no matter what. Her boyfriend confirmed that he was the one who told her to come back home earlier because he thought he knew better than Hype about costs or whatever. There was also rumors he had disputes with music executives and the Mafia that controlled the music industry back in his day. A source came out decades later and claimed the mob planted a bomb on his plane. Could Aaliyah's death have been similar? We've been told it was overloaded, but for all we know there was an explosive device on board....

I was 12 when she died and I remember when the video came out, I thought it looked so low budget considering how well her other videos looked. It looked thrown together and I didn’t like it at first. You are right ! Since hypes team seemed to be cheap and wanting to cut corners overloading equipment on the way there, why didn’t they choose somewhere like Key West? They could’ve drove there from Miami
the only cover up is how cheap her label was in travel accommodations for the crew. Hype isn’t in her crew and was paid to do the video and had either his own flight accommodations or better flight accommodations thru the label, as he was paid well. Aaliyah was to leave the next day on a bigger aircraft (same size the flew there on) but when attempting to reschedule last minute, they couldn’t book it. The label sent Blackhawk and probably thought it was either a bigger plane they booked or thought it was only going to be for Her and like two others. That’s where the argument of “we all are going” comes in. Imagine you’ve worked all weekend and alll morning, tired af, and finally get to the airport to experience delays .. then when the flight arrives, it’s this small plane. They were all over it ! she should of followed her instincts to not board but I understand why she and they all probably said “it is what it is” and went.. being that the flight would of been short and over water. She or her team probably notified Lenny because they wanted to leave on the 25th instead of the scheduled 26th, and wanted to see if his private jet was available. Blackground, after hours of processing and negotiating with other private airlines, probably finally told them to just head to the airport as they got something that’ll be there. So they declined Lenny’s offering .. OR Lenny told them OK but it wouldn’t arrive til hours later as they were already ready to go ! WHO KNOWS ! The facts are that the small plane flew there successfully from FL with that pilot, but it was packed overweight by equipment and luggage. You had girls, gays, make up equipment, personnel items, personal items, etc . All the passages weren’t clueless . They didn’t expect the plane would crash, they wanted to get to FL because their schedules were booked . The pill that was given to Aaliyah was probably for her migraine, not a sleeping pill.. she probably went to sleep after taking it because of how much they worked that weekend and morning. She was said to have passed away prior to the plane crashing from severe shock (realizing the plane is about to crash), and a weak heart (that shock sent her into a heart attack). As the plane crashed, she suffered from a blow to the head which, if survived the heart attack, would of killed her, as well as severe burns as any plane crashing on impact bursts into flames. Her heavy bodyguard asked for her as he survived the initial crash because that was whom he was in charge of protecting. He of all people wouldn’t put her in direct danger!! especially himself !! He had a family and son to raise. This whole thing was an accident . It’s so sad. It common for us as human to overlook potential dangers because we want things our way. You go grocery shopping and instead of making several trips up the stair with your bags, you’re ready to cut your circulation off carrying them all just to get it over with. That’s the case. It’s like booking a UberX to go out with friends, but a Corolla comes .. you all are going to cram into the Corolla and go to the club; “oh well we’ll complain later”. The Haughton family more than likely turned down having any memorial put up as this whole thing was so avoidable and cause so much pain for the family as they sued the airport, the airline, the country, they were sued by the families of the others lost.. etc. There’s no conspiracy here that SOMEBODY (besides crackhead Jaguar) wouldn’t have come out and said. The industry is dark but not in this instance. I'm skeptical of the sleeping pill story. Seems to me in order to believe that you'd have to believe that the other 8 people on the plane or at least 7 not including the pilot were involved in the conspiracy including her bodyguard whose job it would've been to protect here from having to do something against her wishes. Also from my experience I've yet to encounter a sleeping pill that could knock me out to the point where somebody could pick me up and carry me onto a plane without waking me up. I know everybody is different, but still. What kind sleeping pill they give her that knocked her out from the cab right to the plane that she was so out of it she didn't wake even when someone picked her up and carried her? Would've have to have been at least of prescription grade pill, but it couldn't have been no over the counter pill. Even without the pill story there are still plenty of sketchy details like the pilots history of substance abuse and reports that his credentials to fly that type of plane may have been obtained fraudulently

What never added up was the fact it was mentioned that camera equipment was on that small Cessna which never made sense to me? 🤔. TRL on MTV was popular in Times Square. She was gaining major cross over appeal with The Queen of the Damned & then The Matrix sequels. 9-11 came and the shift, rightfully so, was the twin towers in NY. Any major investigations or news coverage into her murder that could have happened just didn't. It's funny, I typed "her murder" in the previous sentence without thinking. In 20 years since her passing, I've never called it murder, but it just never felt right.

The pilot was a licensed pilot who could fly the type of plane they used but he was arrested two weeks prior to the accident and his license should've been suspended by the airline company. He may not be talked about much now but he was definitely in the headlines heavily during that era. Just Google his name and you'll find countless articles on him. Luis Morales III was his name.

According to the doctor, her heart was already weak prior to the crash. But her injuries made it almost impossible for a full recovery.

Aaliyah's and her crew deaths will never sit right with me. First of all they didn't even have to go to the Bahamas they could have stayed in Miami, the pilot was on drugs and not even license to fly, they could have waited a day later for the larger plane etc. The Bahamas needs to give out more information and others who know more details for closure for her family, friends, fans etc and the family and friends of the other people who loss their lives. They should create a memorial in her memory and the other lives loss too. 21 years later we are still wanting answers. This was through breakdown and video Tony.

It’s not a stupid question at all. Most light aircraft in use today do not have black boxes. And there are a couple of reasons for this - the most prominent being weight, costs, and complexity. While black boxes are mandatory for commercial and business aircraft, the aviation authorities in the US and most other countries do not require them for other types of aircraft.

For those that think hype was completely unaware of anything it’s not true. His production company overloaded the planes with equipment on the way there and his production company was directly in communication with the flight arrangements, just looking into it.
Hype took the bigger plane for himself that could have possibly loaded the equipment on. That’s why Lenny probably offered the plane for them. Not so Hype can get his trifling behind on it without the equipment and some of the passengers.
Aaliyah insisted on going back home no matter what. Her boyfriend confirmed that he was the one who told her to come back home earlier because he thought he knew better than Hype about costs or whatever. I think Damon started that rumor because he feels guilt, I mean what was the point of saying this 20 years later? He said it in a recent interview, not after her death. Why now? Besides the obvious of this video upload I believe this music video was shot so beautifully and done so well and that it’s so overshadowed because of what happened and why, but I try to acknowledge the art in it and the power of artistry that was Aaliyah. One of the greatest music videos of all time in my personal opinion.

I was 12 when she died and I remember when the video came out, I thought it looked so low budget considering how well her other videos looked. It looked thrown together and I didn’t like it at first. Now I can appreciate it but Aaliyah had no clue and neither did her team. Sadly, I don’t think we will know the truth.

Hype isn’t in her crew and was paid to do the video and had either his own flight accommodations or better flight accommodations thru the label, as he was paid well.
Aaliyah was to leave the next day on a bigger aircraft (same size the flew there on) but when attempting to reschedule last minute, they couldn’t book it.
The label sent Blackhawk and probably thought it was either a bigger plane they booked or thought it was only going to be for Her and like two others.
That’s where the argument of “we all are going” comes in. Imagine you’ve worked all weekend and alll morning, tired af, and finally get to the airport to experience delays .. then when the flight arrives, it’s this small plane. They were all over it !
she should of followed her instincts to not board but I understand why she and they all probably said “it is what it is” and went.. being that the flight would of been short and over water.
She or her team probably notified Lenny because they wanted to leave on the 25th instead of the scheduled 26th, and wanted to see if his private jet was available.
Blackground, after hours of processing and negotiating with other private airlines, probably finally told them to just head to the airport as they got something that’ll be there. So they declined Lenny’s offering .. OR Lenny told them OK but it wouldn’t arrive til hours later as they were already ready to go !

The facts are that the small plane flew there successfully from FL with that pilot, but it was packed overweight by equipment and luggage. You had girls, gays, make up equipment, personnel items, personal items, etc .
All the passages weren’t clueless . They didn’t expect the plane would crash, they wanted to get to FL because their schedules were booked .
The pill that was given to Aaliyah was probably for her migraine, not a sleeping pill.. she probably went to sleep after taking it because of how much they worked that weekend and morning.
She was said to have passed away prior to the plane crashing from severe shock (realizing the plane is about to crash), and a weak heart (that shock sent her into a heart attack). As the plane crashed, she suffered from a blow to the head which, if survived the heart attack, would of killed her, as well as severe burns as any plane crashing on impact bursts into flames.
Her heavy bodyguard asked for her as he survived the initial crash because that was whom he was in charge of protecting.
He of all people wouldn’t put her in direct danger!! especially himself !! He had a family and son to raise.
This whole thing was an accident . It’s so sad. It common for us as human to overlook potential dangers because we want things our way.
You go grocery shopping and instead of making several trips up the stair with your bags, you’re ready to cut your circulation off carrying them all just to get it over with.

I'm skeptical of the sleeping pill story. Seems to me in order to believe that you'd have to believe that the other 8 people on the plane or at least 7 not including the pilot were involved in the conspiracy including her bodyguard whose job it would've been to protect here from having to do something against her wishes. Also from my experience I've yet to encounter a sleeping pill that could knock me out to the point where somebody could pick me up and carry me onto a plane without waking me up. I know everybody is different, but still. What kind sleeping pill they give her that knocked her out from the cab right to the plane that she was so out of it she didn't wake even when someone picked her up and carried her? Would've have to have been at least of prescription grade pill, but it couldn't have been no over the counter pill. Even without the pill story there are still plenty of sketchy details like the pilots history of substance abuse and reports that his credentials to fly that type of plane may have been obtained fraudulently
