I am not sure she belongs on this list but I remember watching a documentary about Laura Dekker who in 2012 became the youngest person ever to sail around the world solo. She was 14 when she started her voyage and 16 when it finished.
I think that was an incredible accomplishment.
I remember hearing about Nellie Bly in my history class, and then writing a project about her for Inspirational Women's Day. Her story is incredible, and I hope to be as well travelled as she was. ❤

@@kamsismith It really would, though I believe there has been a few, the most recent in 2019. I've travelled to about 13 countries, though never outside of Europe. I'd love to travel to America, Canada or Australia someday. How about yourself?
I've been to Europe, specifically the UK and France, Jamaica, Bahamas, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, Canada, and Nigeria.

Junko Tabei’s story is pretty fascinating and she was the first woman to climb Mount Everest at a time when Japanese women and women, in general, were submissive to men and were required to be housewives and mothers.
I would like to suggest Noraly from the Itchy Boots channel as a current modern-day traveler. She is from the Netherlands and rides her motorcycle solo through so many different countries. She is definitely one to watch.
