Most viceous female ruler: my mother
Shikatedo haahhahahahaha
Same.
Yeah
The spanking rrrrrr
How do you misspell “vicious” when it’s in the title?
Fun fact: "Queen" Tamar is actually regarded as a "King" in Georgian history. :D
And she also traded a captured military general for a rusty horseshoe to humiliate him.
and thats not davit soslan, its here secret lover shota rustaveli, still happy seeing here
now that'd make a nice novel character
Oh, like one of her own generals because the rusty horse shoe was a bad example of caring for his horse?
no she captured an enemy general and she sold him into slavery for a rusty horseshoe. As if to tell him that he's not worth more than a rusty horseshoe :D he gave the slaver this general and received a rusty horseshoe as payment :D :D
11X11 Ohhh, that's a crafty kind of mean @ the rusty horse shoe thing. Kinda like leaving a 1 cent tip.
"My husband bought me a diamond ring!"
"My husband built me a torture chamber"
Third lady: "I killed my husband and build myself a nation."
"My husband made me" Does anybody know where this is from?? 😉
Matthew: Julia married her uncle

Bad joke.

I would love to find that out for my self
To be fair, I bet most of those women had to be that vicious in order to gain any respect.
Faegir Volva true
True dat.
Well they are natural, It's not like they are acting
except that crazy lady which tortured girls
Faegir Volva everybody was savage who ruled back then. They were all monsters. Now their monstrous bloodlines still rule for the most part
Does Azula count?
She was fire lord for like 2 days but still.
CHR0MEMATIC 😂😂😂 I was thinking the same thing and then I saw your comment!
i love this
She absolutely counts!
' my exact question honey
She never finished the coronation ceremony. Technically she was never Fire Lord.
You forgot to mention that Queen Mary of England was the Granddaughter of Queen Isabelle of Spain. Just a interesting tidbit.
Mary wasn't Evil.
She was Catholic.
He sister was Protestant and thats now the religion of England, so Mary is just portrayed really badly. Her sister who came after her killed a lot more people.
So that apple didn't fall far from the tree at all.
@@emmarisby They were both trying to keep their power. They were some of the first ruling Queens without a ruling husband in England. If they weren't a bit ruthless, the other men at court would have deposed them, executed them, and taken power. Mary wanted the pope's support, Elizabeth wanted to stay alive initially.
Women trying to maintain power in history tends to be recorded in history as either extremely clever or vicious. It all depends on the historians' (all men) opinions of them at the time.
There was Queen Mary of England. Is that who you mean? Cause he mentioned her.
That explains everything
Most vicious female ruler: Sally Mae my financial advisor
There's the truth though!
YES. Damn sally mae has an iron grip on finances and student loan debt. 😭
Navient...I will seek revenge!
LoL
I know that bitch lmao 😂
She was TIRED of HER man and she don't want no scrubs.
What!!!!!???? The!! There are some speculation the guy was abusive and there’s one record incident he insulted her in front of everyone or not had giving him a kid and he tried to conquer Her country after the divorce he wasn’t entirely innocent here what was Tamar supposed to do ?
/r/nooneaskedforthis
Oh Frogs I am cackling
"If you feel the need to off your kids, you might be a bit out of control with the power."
Chronos in a nutshell.
You've gone mad with power
Of course I have, have you tried going mad without power? it's boaring, no one listens to you
Amen to that xD
I love the Simpsons movie lol
Guess you could say these queens

Fun fact: Rani Laxmi bai once fought off an entire ambush from British against her while she was carrying her 3 years old adopted son to a safe place. She succeeded.
She is the type of person epic stories are written of
That's what you get when momma bear mode is activated......
Abhinav Nambiar she’s not vicious she’s a freedom fighter and a badass
I'm pretty sure Rani wasn't as vicious as the British invaders!
Exactly
A AAT, The Rani was nowhere close to being that vicious - I'm part Irish and the Irish and the Indians have at least this aspect in common.
The beauty of war: you need vicious people to fight other vicious people
She killed her own
Empress Wu was amazing if you know her full story
He did but you wouldn't know because you haven't seen her full story
Ikr she was the most competant ruler , there was equality , the empire was wealthy and her people was fed, she was absolutely amazing.

My Mum doesn't lose arguments. She just screams at me and hides in her room.
Tim Powell omg same!!!
Derpy Potato truuuuu 😂😂😂😂😂
The Chinese Empress was thought to actually have been a better ruler than she was painted as in history because the man who took control of the throne after she died put her in a bad light and some believe that she actually had contributed to one of the best golden years of China and the most inclusion of men and women in daily life
william keevers she also had a woman prime minister and other women women ministers it was a grand time to be a woman under her .
Interesting
I know I watched a documentary about her
You have got a point, the history books are always written by the winners or successors.
Rani laxmi bai never killed innocent people
She is very respected person in india she is a role model of woman empowerment and woman equality
Check what u speak
GRACY TAYING I completely agree with you.
Yes
No look it up dumb ass and she was a woman who empower other woman but she did kill people who did nothing bad
Check what you speak
Rani Laxmibai didn't had a chance to kill british women and and their children. She was herself so unsafe that she took her infant tied to her on the battle field, to fight british to save her honour. To break her strength, the East India company general slayed the her baby first and then brought her down. She is Indias Joan of Arc. But,the difference is, we Indians have honoured our queen for her valour and self-esteem. She did not meet the fate of Joan of arc, who was set on fire by her own people. British invaded Jhansi and made dishourable demands to the queen of Jhansi. The history of the Tyranny of East India company had no limits. Mathew Santoro, u should do some research before making such videos and enlisting her name on any tyrants list. She is the Idol and never a tyrant. Shame on you.

Until now, i had never heard of her. Of course, as a ruler, she would only do what she could to protect her people from the British, who throughout history had invaded many lands. It certainly was not fare that her infant died in battle. She should have hidden him far from there
John of Arc was French and burned to death by the English. Not her own people.
that picture of ''mary'' on her death bed is actually a painting of Queen Elizabeth on her death bed.

In all honesty Mary I Tudor, should never have been on the English throne. Her brother removed her & Elizabeth from the line of succession and named his cousin Jane Gray as Queen after he died.

Queen Mary the First is actually the woman who became who we know as Bloody Mary today
I SCREAMED WHEN HE MENTIONED ELIZABETH BATHORY!!!!!!!! she is interesting to me
hey its lindsay Right?! I get chills whenever someone mentions her
Bloody Mary is a lightweight compared to the ones he mentioned.
I love Elizabeth Bathory. I'm in love with vampires in general. So interested in her, I want to cosplay Elizabeth for a local con of mine.
Elizabeth Bathory is a dark interest of mine.
I've always been so enamored with Elizabeth Bathory as well! So unfortunate that we may never (probably ever) know the truth about her life, number of victims, or what really happened behind those walls. :/ It's fun to speculate and wonder and research, though! There is still a lot of awesome historical info on her and it's all so fascinating. Cheers!
Rani lakshmi bai was a righteous queen and freedom fighter. She slaughterd only the soldiers in the battlefield who threatened and killed innocent people in her country with no way of defending the themselves. She did not kill British women or kids unlike her enemy
Point not noticed!! But NOW TAKEN!!

Where is your proof?
Peter Lee Ching Rani Lakshmibai’s involvement in the massacre is debated across the board by historians and she was reluctant to fight the British until they forcefully asked her to surrender to her Jhansi, which of course she refused to do. An army doctor, Thomas Lowe, wrote after the rebellion characterising her as the "Jezebel of India ... the young rani upon whose head rested the blood of the slain"
From Wikipedia: Four days after the massacre the sepoys left Jhansi, having obtained a large sum of money from the Rani, and having threatened to blow up the palace where she lived. Following this, as the only source of authority in the city the Rani felt obliged to assume the administration and wrote to Major Erskine, commissioner of the Saugor division explaining the events which had led her to do so.[26] On 2nd July, Erskine wrote in reply, requesting her to "manage the District for the British Government" until the arrival of a British Superintendent.[27] The Rani's forces defeated an attempt by the mutineers to assert the claim to the throne of a rival prince who was captured and imprisoned. There was then an invasion of Jhansi by the forces of Company allies Orchha and Datia; their intention however was to divide Jhansi between themselves. The Rani appealed to the British for aid but it was now believed by the governor-general that she was responsible for the massacre and no reply was received. She set up a foundry to cast cannon to be used on the walls of the fort and assembled forces including some from former feudatories of Jhansi and elements of the mutineers which were able to defeat the invaders in August 1857. Her intention at this time was still to hold Jhansi on behalf of the British.[28]
Siege of Jhansi Edit
The storming of Jhansi - Lieutenant Bonus
Jhansi Fort, 1882
From August 1857 to January 1858 Jhansi under the Rani's rule was at peace. The British had announced that troops would be sent there to maintain control but the fact that none arrived strengthened the position of a party of her advisers who wanted independence from British rule. When the British forces finally arrived in March they found it well-defended and the fort had heavy guns which could fire over the town and nearby countryside. Sir Hugh Rose, commanding the British forces, demanded the surrender of the city; if this was refused it would be destroyed.[29] After due deliberation the Rani issued a proclamation: "We fight for independence. In the words of Lord Krishna, we will if we are victorious, enjoy the fruits of victory, if defeated and killed on the field of battle, we shall surely earn eternal glory and salvation."[30] She defended Jhansi against British troops when Sir Hugh Rose besieged Jhansi on 23 March 1858.
The bombardment began on 24 March but was met by heavy return fire and the damaged defences were repaired. The defenders sent appeals for help to Tantia Tope;[27] an army of more than 20,000, headed by Tantia Tope, was sent to relieve Jhansi but they failed to do so when they fought the British on 31 March. During the battle with Tantia Tope's forces part of the British forces continued the siege and by 2 April it was decided to launch an assault by a breach in the walls. Four columns assaulted the defences at different points and those attempting to scale the walls came under heavy fire. Two other columns had already entered the city and were approaching the palace together. Determined resistance was encountered in every street and in every room of the palace. Street fighting continued into the following day and no quarter was given, even to women and children. "No maudlin clemency was to mark the fall of the city" wrote Thomas Lowe.[31] The Rani withdrew from the palace to the fort and after taking counsel decided that since resistance in the city was useless she must leave and join either Tantia Tope or Rao Sahib (Nana Sahib's nephew).[32]

As an Indian I totally agree with you. The British were controlling India unfairly and completely purging her people. She was out for justice and she was trying to teach England a lesson for trying to take her land. She did all of it for justice not for no reason.

Well we only know for sure that she had an infant son during the short years she was fighting. Laxmi Bai died three or four years after she started the rebellion i dont remember what happened to her son.
I won't use the word 'Vicious' to describe her.
She was a greatest women/ worrior queen in those days (And by those I meant slavery days😞 )

Umm... I'm from Georgia, actually. And well as for Yuri, he was known for being not quite aware of his responsibilities, and as for David Soslan, that picture which is placed with KING Tamara (this is how we call her in our country) is Shota Rustaveli, a poet at her time who wrote the work of art which we still study at school "Man in a Panther's Skin". In a poem which was written in 12th Century A.D. is a review of how she got on a throne (which was not ruthless btw) and she was the one who rejected the law of punishment by death. So... please, don't make a monster out of our king and read a story from more convenient sources.
I think these women learned to rule by what they saw. Their parents were also pretty vicious. It’s in the blood and when you’re young you learn from others. Also a lot of men thought and still in this day think women are some sensitive creatures. Women had to be even more dominant than men in those times in order to rule and be feared. I can’t imagine Mary Poppins ruling any country and surviving a week. If you were weak you died, everyone was ready to kill to get to the top. It was the way back then.
It's my belief that Mary Poppins was kind of scary. She stuffed kids into chimneys!
As for female rulers, they run the gamut from fierce warriors and strategists, to pawns in the hands of power hungry manipulators. In the end, most of the stories are written by sycophants, malcontents, and the dubiously informed

she was a freedom fighter
nivedita choudhury you tell em
Well there were many Indian queens who rebelled against other rulers.......some committed mass suicides and some like Rani Lakshmi Bai fought the East India Company......there is another queen who fought the East India Company and she is supposed to be considered equivalent to Rani Lakshmi Bai......Her name was Rani Channamma ......Rani Lakshmi Bai was the Queen of the kingdom of Jansi, and Rani Channamma was the Queen of Kithoor in Karnataka and there are differences between them.......this is what I and other Indian kids were taught in school......Rani Lakshmi Bai was said to have dressed in a soldier's armour and fought the British and it is said that just before she entered her last battle, she is said to have tied her adopted son on her back and entered the battle field.....thus she and her son died on the battlefield........but in Rani Channamma's case, Rani Channamma apparently fought in a woman's clothing (as in she fought on horseback in a Saree) and we have their statue as a reminder of their bravery......because it was not common for any Indian queen to fight or even defend their kingdom and also women from the royal class were said to commit suicide during the war just to protect their chastity rather than become their enemies concubines........so when women rose up against their kingdom's enemies they were given special respect.........
rebecca fiona Cornel But were they crazy?

Ok so not taking offense here, but lakshmi bai was a freedom fighter and well everything is fair in war especially against the British at that time who were exceptionally ruthless , so I am confused why was she on the list.
You are right
That's exactly what I was wondering 😞
Because she had killed lots of British people. If you want to eat omlette you definitely have to break it and kill the unborn.Remember, in British period our freedom fighters have killed innocent people also, in addition to intended ones....and the count is not small.
Mayank Pathak I am confused too....
Mayank Pathak Yeah, she honestly didn't sound that bad. The EITC was awful.
True she did some horrible things but considering she was living in the worst time possible under British rule in that time, I'd say there was justification in her actions. Also, isn't all fair in war? Many more unspeakable things have happened in times of war, her killings scarcely even compete in my opinion. 🤷♀️

Patton Understandable, but if I made CZcams videos about people with Chinese names for a channel with with almost 6 million subscribers then I'd give those few names a minute or so of research to learn how to pronounce them reasonably well so as to not say "Chairman Mayo". It'd be less work than getting the rest of the information.
Huh and I was sure someone's girlfriend would be on this list
He already made a video about her.
If my history teacher speak like the host I won't sleep again.
Amen!!! My thoughts exactly....
Not only his screaming voice, but his bulging eyes and flailing arms. That'd scare any kid...
Just a note: I don't believe Elizabeth Bathory was ever convicted for consuming the blood and flesh. I did read that she forced at least one of her servants to cut off and cook her own flesh and made the servant eat it. She absolutely did bath in the blood though.
Fact check for the Tamar here: The Russian prince was banished for sodomy and addiction to drunkness. He also did two coup attempts, but failed and then disappeared. David was Soslan, not Solsan and the man depicted in the photo next to Tamar(when Matt mentions David Solsan) is the famous poet Shota Rustaveli, not David. Also, Yuri was abusive.
And he was given treasure when he was banished.
TheAkrillion There was a lot of inaccuracies with this videos 🤦🏼♀️
@@ericaschlueter336 yeah her name literally is king tamar not queen.
So a male who does this is ruthless and powerful, and a woman is just vicious? Let's also remember history is written by the victors and strong women have always been vilified.
scarletfluerr Calm down silly wahman you need to eat a sandwich
scarletfluerr Silly young lady
+outofthezone L.
Ethan Ayala Huh?
+outofthezone You need to take that L. I like to hand people L. For no reason. :)
Agrippina didn't poison her rivals. Bathory was a noblewoman, not a ruler. Lakshmi was leading a rebellion against a greedy and brutal corporation and its colonialist supporting nation. Collateral damage does happen..
🙃🤑🤯😬😤🙄🤢🤬
Noblemen and Noble women Could be "rulers". Bathory was a Countess and was warden of a territory in Hungary thus making her essentially a ruler.
Nero took the throne? Well, there's only one thing left for me to say:
"I am Damocles! I AM VENGEANCE! *YOU ARE NEXT!"*
*She dont want no scrubs*
Zenobia was a strong ruler, who took advantage of the Roman crisis of the third century. You didn’t name a single way she was cruel. You really need to do more research before publishing these lists. I think you just googled this information.
Eric Jennings or the local libraries 🤷🏼♀️
Thank you, sir, you said what was in my mind, his mention of Zenobia was very strange to me too! since she is usually considered the opposite of a cruel female leader! I'm Syrian as well, that's why I was double offended by this video.
@@hayajbee6679, my father is Palestinian/Irish and he named me after her, at least the Arabic-language version, Zaynab, as a tribute, which shows how much he admired her.
Marcia Anne Donahue this is great to hear❤️ I'm sure Zenobia would've appreciated the gesture, very lovely name btw, greetings from Syria❤️
He means vicious like badass.
funny point-
London city had only existed for 16 years when Nero killed his mum in 59 a.d
Your pronunciation of many foreign names could use some improvement
Wolny Słowianin sorry he doesn’t speak those languages to have the accent down packed 🙄😒
@@rachaelnwaoha3543 That doesn't excuse going around mangling people's names.
Nobody expected the Spanish inquisition.
I was so disappointed that this doesn't have more likes. I had to pause the video to laugh when he said it because Monty Python has ruined me. xD
I remember at elementary school, I had to play Isabella at a play we made at the end of the year...We met Christopher Columbus, and he was asking me and the King of Spain for funds for his trip to india with his three ships: The Pinta, The Niña, and the Santa Maria. How racist it was from my teachers, now that I think about it, haha! ( Cause I'm half Portuguese, that was pretty close for them, or so they thought...). Ah, memories :)
Catherine Vaz well it's closer that having someone with for example Irish or German background playing her
Some of these women needs tv shows or a movie
This is what third wave feminism inspires to become, but with blue hair.
Rani Lakshmi Bai and Queen Zenobia were kickass feminist icon. I’m half Indian and Lakshmi bai was a freedom fighter and role model for women.
About Mary- she was the GRANDDAUGHTER of Isabella of Spain via Catherine of Aragon (Isabella's daughter and 1st wife of Henry VIII who was dumped for Anne Boleyn). I wouldn't exactly call her vicious considering how bad her father treated her (he stripped her of her title when she sided with her mother and refused to let Mary see her mother during the last years of Catherine's life as she was exiled after Henry forced that divorce on her. Mary was a good Catholic girl who was loyal to both her mother and her faith. OF course she had "daddy issues"- she blamed him, Anne Boleyn, and the Protestants for ruining not only HER life, but sending her mother to an early grave. Under those circumstances it makes perfect sense she'd want revenge once she became Queen! She went after the Protestants to avenge her mother. She was no more a villain in that sense compared to Henry and her Protestant half-sister Elizabeth I (who both killed off more Catholics than Mary killed Protestants!). Mary was the victim of a bad PR slander campaign by male Protestant historians of the post-Elizabethan era. More recent biographies notice this, and have shown far more sympathetic portraits of England's first regnant queen. A biopic of Mary I is long overdue, and would be great Oscar bait for any actress who shall play her!!
Mary went after the Protestants because she was a devout Catholic & she thought everyone else should be also. Have you read about Catherine of Aragon's upbringing? It was severe, brutally strict. Punishments were harsh. She was a Stern Catholic woman who punished those who weren't Catholic.
Right how many people did her father kill🤷🏼♀️ and even her sister had people killed too .
Girls know how fight
Queen Mary Tudor was the granddaughter of Queen Isabel of Spain. Henry VIII was married to Katherine of Argon who was the daughter of Isabel. So considering who her grandmother was it's no surprise she ruled as viciously as her grandmother.
Okay the first scene with the queen choking out the two kings while laughing...
