I work with an old man that was asking about the thin wrenches on the Mac truck yesterday. I believe he called them carburetor wrenches (never heard that myself) and was told $340 IIRC. I showed him Capri because I remembered seeing them. Said he’d check them out since it would be less than $100 for both. I picked up the 3/4 breaker bar for $60, cheapest I found (even HF was $90). Thing is a beast. Also, for those that don’t know, Capri does 10% off for military. That’s 10% off the price you pay, even if it’s on sale.
We mentioned some time ago about who would be the first company that would make the intelligent decision to use you for their marketing and Capri stepped up to the plate! Smart move on their behalf and congratulations to you, CP!
I got the Stubby Triple Square set. Needed the warranty the M4. Sent the pic 20min later received email replacement on the way. They sent the regular M4 i let Capri know and they sent the correct one out that same day. Great customer service.
Got the email ?today. Read the article. Good for you CP. I will also vouch for Capri. I like their 3/8 impact sockets: thin walls and complete sets with nice rails. Have their tubing cutters, wire strippers, several individual chrome sockets, and a couple of their hex bit socket sets----all very good quality. The blow gun is far better than any I have previously owned. Bought a set of their MaxChrome wrenches for a birthday present for a friend of mine who is starting out. He loves them. I have broken nothing of Capri. The only trouble I've had is the comfort grip handle slipping off the flush cutters.
i bought a small pair of cutters from them CP based on your recommendation. They have been very very strong & I use them when i do not want to damage my expensive cutting pliers when trying to cut something really hard.
DUDE ! You're on the front freakin' page of their web site. To say they wrote an article about you is being extremely modest. Nicely done good sir! We missed you last night on Power Stroke Jude's (a.k.a. Lord Verde) live stream. We all thought you were probably hanging out at another county fair or something. I wish they still made the ratcheting combination wrenches. They said they were redoing them and they didn't know when the new ones were coming out. I'm sorry but for regular plane combination wrenches I want American steel. The best wrenches are still made in the United States. That's the one thing I would spend the money on is good quality combination wrenches that's the foundation of any good tool set along with sockets
I have several Capri tools and I think their very good. I wouldn't say their hand tools are Snap On equivalents though but I'm sure they'll do the job in most cases.
Great to see that they appreciate you CP they do ship to Canada you just have to contact them for a quote I saw a comment that they didn’t ship up here I’m going to order some things next week even with the exchange of the dollar they are still priced great
@@CPthetooladdict OK, OK, I admit it: Capri is not as close to Snap On as I originally thought. Although durable, it's action is simply not as smooth. So I'd say it's 75% of Snap On. See, I can be reasonable and admit when I'm wrong 😉.
Man I wish I knew about these sooner! I know you have been talking about them, I just haven’t taken the time to really look. Looks like I have a new wish list… I’d love to get those slim wrenches but I wish they went a little bigger. You have any suggestions?
I was looking forward to making a purchase as soon as I finished watching your video. I started my free membership, chose my items, my free gift. I understand if there was no free shipping to Canada (because there never is and There would be difference in currency). Oh I understand I do apologize thats why mentioned it that they ship to the lower 48 at the end of the video sorry trust me I have tons of sympathy for my brothers to the north.
@@CPthetooladdict don’t worry about it at all! I completely missed you saying it, I was annoyed at that situation at the time, not you. Still got the love and appreciation for what you do bro
Are these the thinner wall impact sockets? I'm trying to save money by buying only impact sockets in 3/8 inch drive. Would the impacts here be a better choice over the Grey Pneumatic dual set? I have a small budget and want to avoid buying redundant tools. I'm still not sure what to go with but I don't want to have to buy chrome sockets later if I can't get into a small space down the road. Either that or I'll buy a decent chrome set and get cheaper impacts down the road if I end up needing them. Ideally, I would like to only buy one set of 3/8 drive to fit all my needs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Any word on their Metric ratcheting wrench sets? I only see individual wrenches available for sale and no 10mm available. SAE sets are still available though.
I don’t like there warranty process you will need to show a receipt and if you’re not the original purchaser they will not warranty your items and plus it looks like they do not have any 3/4 and 1inch Driver stuff
It’s no different than the the tool truck warranty. You have to create an account with your local tool man to do business with him. It’s the same with Capri. You create an account with them on their website. Tool truck distributors reserve the right to refuse warranty claims from someone who steps on their truck but isn’t a customer in their accounts. It stops guys that buy worn out tools at the yard sale and expecting a tool guy to replace it so they can sell it online. The only thing that I don’t really like from Capri is their universal impact sockets. I was told that they were going to come out with a replacement for them but that’s not happened yet. I’ve had issues with them not holding up but what I have never had an issue with is their customer service. They’ve gone above and beyond my expectations. I have no reservations about buying a product from them. Their angle wrenches can go toe to toe with any other brand at any price point. Their quality, fit, and finish is much better than Gearwrench. I really don’t understand their popularity of Gearwrench products. Maybe they were better when they first came onto the market but their current product line looks like cheap Chinese knockoffs to me. That’s just my opinion.
Overall capri TOOLS is no competition for Gearwrench their tool catalog is totally insane but Gearwrench warranty policy is a lot easier so is Craftsman Dewalt Powerbilt tekton Titan tools Neiko tools
