CP. The internals are very similar to the Diehard 90t 3/8 flex head ratchsts from Advance Auto parts. Exact internals. I know you got a Carlyle tools ratchet in your collection. The handle is the same as the new Capri one. I wouldn't be suprised if the plastic on the bottom of the handle feels the same. Just to confirm with Capri they will be bringing back the goat head logo on the 90t ratchets down the road. In fact Capri is short for Capricorn. Which derives from the latin word Caprae. Modern Italian Capra.

I have a ton of different ratchets (not as many as CP!) love Koken, but for 1/4 I have the swivel head icon 6 inch and honestly it’s been great with daily use. Just goes to show diversity is key with ratchets. Can never have too many!

Good Evening Fellow Toolhaulics and Friends: CP, Thank you 😊 for your review of the comfort grip Capri 3/8 drive ratchet against the Icon model. Based on your recommendations 2 months ago I purchased the longer handle 3/8 drive non comfort grip Capri ratchet 😜 & so far for the money it's performing as designed. It doesn't hang-up in any way. It's not as smooth as my Nepros or Snap On but for what the intended uses are for I have no complaints 😉. I personally didn't care for the internal design of the
Icon ratchet but that's OK I'm fussy about Chinese stuff. In your video today you were using the little power screw driver. I thought of you today as I was using mine & also being sure the battery was charged. Every one of your personal observations has been on target & with that every tool I've purchased has exhibited no defects or problems. Besides my Snap On dealer JDTCO has been my go to store for QUALITY TOOLS & THE SERVICE IS IMPECCABLE !!!! Great video Chad & as always my best to you and Henry. TMP from N.J. 👍 😢😅😊.

If you really like knurled handles check out the 70's-80's Easco ratchets, the pear head ( non QR,variant of what they made for Craftsman) and the RHFT.
They were also done for KD NAPA and Allen.
Man that's some large toothed Agressive knurling.
You'll find the same large agressive knurling on the most last Allen RHFT ratchets that were made by Apex .
Those New Britain made Blackhawk ratchets were great, the handles are great, and the kilness mechanism they had was great.
Some had the dual pawl mechanism.

Easco really did a great job back in the 70's-80's, and the stuff they did on their own often had better handles than the Craftsman counterparts.
Most of these variants were rebranded by NAPA too, some by K-D but not as many.
The 71-1102 has the largest round knurled handle of any 1/4 ratchet I'm aware of and the most aggressive knurling too, it was offered as an EASCO a NAPA and a K-D.
I believe the that design in all
drive sizes was offered by all 3.

Tony The Technician took the 3/8 apart yesterday and it had an o-ring seal around the inside of the head. I don't see one on yours. QC issues with Capri?

@@CPthetooladdict holy crap that was a much needed good laugh. Thanks CP. But, as you say, "let's be honest here... " the Capri website says they're sealed heads. If yours isn't sealed it gives me pause about the QC.

I like the direction they’re going with as far as stamping edging and comfort grips but I agree that the goat head needs to either change to more like a ram or just go away at all I don’t like the satanic goat on meth look
