The real reviewers, not the paid ones, are out now. Check out MKBHD's review for an honest take.
agree
Absolutely
This feels more like a commercial than a review
It is an ad. She says she partnered with them, so they paid her for this video. So it's not a review; it's an ad.
This feels like a commercial. And way too many cuts when asking the r1 a question so we don't know the actual time it takes to answer. Waiting for an honest review from MKBHD.
Unbox therapy did the same thing. Makes me wonder if it's paid promotion
It is. She says sheâs âpartneringâ in the description
@@irowebot yea that's expected of unbox therapy lol. These channels are turning into salespeople instead of giving their honest reviews and opinions of the product.
So far Stephen Robles here on youtube is the only one with a good review of the Rabbit R1.
I recommend Stephen Robles video on the rabbit R1. He gives an honest review and his real opinions on the the product.
it literally shows real time queries, so what you talking about?
This is not a review, this is a paid advertisement.
THIS IS AN AD, NOT A REVIEW.
This is the most dishonest review I have seen yet
Is MKDHB the only one we can trust for reviews?
Her enthusiasm seems so manufactured
So you have a $1k+ phone and you decide to buy a $200 device to asist you and recommend movies n food recipes đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
"The answers are super fast." Really!? *Stares in @MKBHD*
The existence of the pin and the rabbit is the "this meeting could've been an e-mail" of the tech world
âIâm not your mom though right?âđ€Ł đđđ
đ€Łđ€Ł
Why did she have to confirm like that as if there is some legal need lmao
@@SpaceTimeBeing_ It was like there was an element of doubt, like she forgot she gave birth! đ
I thought she denied a bit too much!! Device looks cool, battery though apparently loses about 1 percent every 5 mins, quick to charge though. Can't wait to get one.
@@jjasper7512 Definitely, looks awesome!
Feels like paid commercial.
It's a paid ad. And very dishonest.
This one video was enough for me to avoid this channel in the future.
This felt like a sponsorship rather than a review
yeah i think that is what it is
It is
Even Unbox therapy felt like that.
@@MeRenegadePaid Ads is all Unbox Therapy does these days.
Because that's exactly what it is! A paid ad.
Wait for MKBHDs review lol. He will be honest and bankrupt the company haha. Seriously appreciate his honesty though
Just remember- it's a video edited to make it feel like the r1 is responding within a second of each query. We know from Jesse's video that it's not that quick
Untrue! Did you go see their live launch last night?
@@derektoronto1 check out the uncut video Jesse did on his channel comparing r1 with humane ai pin
But it also depends on your network coverage. Wi-Fi or cellular.
Everything is very fast except from food order. Uber is fast enough but they can improve.
@@NirHason I'm talking about LLM queries, not even LAM
Every interaction costs them. Yet, they are only charging a one-time purchase fee. Predictions:
p0: they will go out of business in a year, and / or
p1: they will introduce subscriptions, and / or
p2: they are extracting non-trivial value from our data (=everything the device sees, hears, senses).
as an addendum to p0: They PLAN to go out of business in a year.
I'm not convinced about all of these devices, but I'll give the r1 this: It looks interesting and it doesn't sound terminally depressed, like its colleague from Humane...
The humane AI is also 50Xâs slower to respond.
We got pokedex before GTA 6đ
Who cares about GTA anyway đ people are just using it for social media attention at this point.
this is literally a pokedex, if they dont have a discovery application which shows what animals and plants you discovered like zelda or pokemon then its truly wasted potential
@@mdeter6767 well 187 millions people watched the trailer video so i guess a lot actually care about GTA lol
I watched most of the video and I still dont understand what it is. I see no usefulness about this.
@@Djuntas then don't understand it. Maybe it's not your thing. No offense
I canât think of 1 reason I would need this.

"I'm not your mom." Had me spit out my drink đ
I feel like they're just burning through tons of investor money, I can't turn around on the internet without 10 ads for this thing.
Not really... They already sold over 100,000 units equivalent to $20 million +
Also the partnerships with perplexity, OpenAI, elevenlabs etc are a game changer đ
I haven't seen any. They've already sold more than 100000 products so they obviously have more than 20 million dollars to kinda dispose too.
Omg chill and let other shit happened!
Not as much as Humane ($230 million) vs Rabbit ($30 million).
@@Echophone2046That AI pin is DOA. Itâs already gotten bad reviews by the verge , MKBHD , CNET,And a few others .
Seems to be better than the Humane Ai pin and it's cheaper
It's like 100,000 times better
i mean chatgpt app does the exact same thing.
Was wondering if there was any edits on image recognition wait times or it was just that fast.
Wouldnât take much to be better than Humane AI pin
Ai pin just got a host of bug fixes this week works way faster now and with no heating issues.
The only problem is the time of the response, in the video there is a cut every time when the device is responding, is it better or worse than humanAI? I think it's roughly the same, because the device needs an internet connection to work, so I don't know, the idea behind it is awesome but, we are not there yet, when the hardware catches it up and we cannot rely on the cloud, it would be awesome.
I also cut out almost every time I breath in my CZcams videos b/c I'm impatient đ€Ł There is some wait time for things like uber and DoorDash, but most of the questions I ask and the vision is pretty fast! I also cut out a lot of the long explanations for the bananas. She gave me like 10 things I could make with them.
I think we're pretty much there as far as technology
â@@iJustineI don't think you would feel impatient for "not cutting" but anyways... đ We need more honest reviews
@@iJustine You could've left at least one instance where it responded without a cut. But I guess that wasn't in the talking points that you've been paid for. Yuck content.
It is much much faster than the Humane AI pin, the average wait to response time is 2 seconds, but specifically Doordash takes much longer, apparently itâs because the doordash website is slow in general, but they said itâll be fixed in a future update.
The way she intuitively closed the knifeâs blade when her niece showed up đ„șđ„ș
Aunt of the year!
Being impressed by basic instinct is sad
hahahah awww
really passive aggressive way to say âmother is motheringâ đ. sorry i had to
I tell you this product would be a godsend to the blind community itâs affordable thereâs so many products out there that use AI to describe things that cost so much money that the average Joe canât even put their hand on or even let alone rent. There is a company out there that actually has a software and items very similar to this, but itâs built into or your prescription glasses and itâs designed to help those with visually impair around and move around and it cost $3500 just for the AI not including the prescription glasses thatâs needed which cost another additional 350 bucks so this here would be a significant add-on to the blind community
This is pretty neat but I wonder why I could not just download a rabbit like app which does the same thing?
Thought this exact same thing. 2nd thought: as soon as Apple bakes all this and more into iOS in a few months, this device will be pointless. Womp womp
Bold of you to assume Samsung or Apple would approve any sort of AI cloud based sign ins into their ecosystems.
Simply put, you CANNOT do this on app architecture because neither companies would play ball with Rabbit OS, they would rather create their own AI closed ecosystems.
I look forward to getting mine sometime in June/July time frame from the R6 batch. At least I get Perplexity Pro for 1-year. Quite excited after seeing these videos as well as the keynote speech.
My father is losing his vision (almost blind now) and I've ordered this for him, excited to see how it will change his life reading things for him and telling him what he's looking at, that's huge for accessibility like you mentioned. Thank you for showing some cool examples!
The packaging is like an old school cassette
Donât understand of it USP.
Google AI has already covered all the features and makes available for Android and working for iOS as well.
Then whatâs the point to purchase this device separately??
It's enjoyable to use and perfect for someone who isn't always tethered to their phone.
@@FactNightthis argument is hilarious as itâs just another phone but smaller so instead of being tethered to one thing now itâs two.
The goal is to have multiple tasks perform at once, without necessarily needing to go through different apps. And hopefully the learn feature will do well.
I will use it to do planning and booking for short 3 days trip.
Read title as âHusband AIâ đ
HAHAHAHAHA
7:56 imagine if an AI assistant can see in 360 degrees around you. so when you ask it a question about your environment, you donât have to point the camera at a thing to find an answer. it just looks around and finds it or if thereâs no visual cueâs it just googles the answer. i want THAT tech. i want a AI tech thingy that has a 360 degree camera. but that would probably be something you mount on your head or something which would probably be weird tbh. lol
@@Steel17777Too loud and complicated imo. Needs to be elegant.
@@Steel17777did you just invent an AI Parrot? are you an AI Pirate? i like it.
Rabbit R1 have that tech. The camera have 180°pivot so it can see 360° around. Not sure if you can use it like that but there is definitely a possibility. In worst case scenario you would have to do it on 2 question, ask on front, then whats on your back.
This is why Apple is experimenting with adding cameras to AirPods.
Can't wait for the MKBHD review when he decides to bankrupt the company.
Can you pair you headphones to this? Do they have release dates for when other services will be available, such as Audible?
I told my girlfriend thereâs a new device called a rabbit and she said thatâs not new Iâve had one for years but she wonât show it to meâŠâŠ now Iâm confused I thought this was new đ€
I had one too! It was called âNebaztagâ.
đ
I want this device, but at the same time, nothing demoed isnât already possible with my phone - but still think itâs cool!
Your phone cannot do things on your behalf.
You cannot stack commands with any smartphone AI assistants, the Rabbit R1 also can scan documents, make edits, and send a revised edit to your email within 3 seconds. The stacked commands allow you to order Uber, ask a question about the news, and check the weather simultaneously, you cannot do this on any other device currently.
Fantastic review! Note, when purchasing the Rabbit R1, you get to see the batch number you are getting in checkout. Thought this would be super useful in the long-run for bug fixing and upgrades.
Omg I just saw ur ad for the remarkable (I think thatâs what itâs called ?) and I was so shook!!!! I used to watch your vlogs every single day, glad to see youâre still active and working with brands :)!
Im so interested in this. I really wanted to pre-order but was kind of wanting to wait a little. But Iâm really hyped about it
Okay but how can this help me do anything actually useful? I can read parking signs, I know that I can make Smoothies with Bananas.
In 20 years we're gonna look back at this and say "boy, were we wrong!"
Yes, this is just a neat lil gadget
Mostly itâll eventually let you stop spending as much screen time on your phone. The software isnât fully complete yet at the moment, but thatâs the idea. Eventually youâll just tell rabbit what you want and itâll do all the stuff that takes up a ton of screen time right now
This is the biggest issue of the device, cause people don't understand what they are missing on, since "missing out" is their normal daily chore. For example you are in town, late, you are in a neighborhood you don't know and you want a good salad. At this moment, you have to pull up your phone and google local restaurants, then you have to check the reviews, then you have to look up their menu. That is so much hassle that you won't do it. You will either go to Mc Donalds for a fast meal or skip the salad altogether. Or you are traveling, staying at place. "Hey, can you find me interesting architecture around this place that I can see?" "This house from 1928" "What's interesting about it?" - Without this, you would't even know you missed it out. You wouldn't ever google it, cause its too much hassle to read through. See the problem? You have a discussion with friend. And it stucks on laws of thermodynamics. Googling it and reading wikipedia will take you 100 years. Rabbit can explain it in 1 minute. And now you are not arguing about thermodynamics and the conversation can flow deeper in the topic... Or you have a bus stop infront of your house, the bus leaves every hour and 23 minutes. You simply ask how much time you have till the next bus goes. Looking it up for example in Rome can be real hassle. With rabbit - seconds.
So it's Google assistant, Google lense and Gemini but I have to buy and carry a separate device?
All jokes aside, this could be huge for hosting really useful accessibility festures in one device.
Super great overview im looking forward to getting this
iJustine. My cousin has a huge crush on you. He can look past the fact that your reviews aren't entirely genuine, but he's a really good guy and most importantly he's a blue bubble user. But his shyness prevents him from even commenting on your channel. He asked Rabbit R1 how he could meet you, but ironically I overheard him asking that and said don't fall down that rabbit hole. Instead, the true sidekick genius and friend (me) decided to post this on his behalf. He doesn't know it yet tho, so I need you to message him. His name is Matt. He's also low key hilarious. Oh, and for the record, he also doesn't have kids.
She does not care lmao, if she cares she wouldn't even post fake reviews
Great video ! Im just curious to know how quickly it processes requests, like in real time. Without the edits. Thank you đđŒ
I"m looking forward to getting mine. The Humane pin should try and learn how to better their product from Rabbit R1
Great video Justine thanks. But why using a specific hardware where an r1 app could do the same on a iPhone ?
I can't lie. This seems quite useful tbh. At least compared to the humane AI Pin.
đ§
Yes, quite different. The LAM is game changing.
Iâm in batch 4⊠so I got a bit of waiting to do. But Iâm excited this thing actually works lol
I was waiting for iJustine to tell me about this!
Kinda weird she needed to state three times that the kid wasn't hers.
I feel like these stand alone AI devices to help make your life better, are just a prelude to when good and usable AI tech will be in our phones. Similar to when everyone had a seperate cell phone and digital camera
Maybe some of us don't need a phone on all the time. Be nice to have R1 when walking around.
Agreed. These devices will likely be obsolete by the summer of 2026.
Hoping smartphones can participate in LAM tokenized systems is like hoping one day laptops can do everything video game consoles can do, the problem with trying to copy what a dedicated hardware does, is that your version of said product will be lesser than whatever hardware is designed around the new architecture. Sure, smartphones can one day mimic this, but they will never be able to copy the patented methods the R1 uses to carry out the stacked commands or their learning mode.
So cool. Iâd love to know more about how the actions work. Like can it show you the different booking options for Uber?
I'm dying with anticipation for mine to arrive. She'll be my little orange buddy.
u make my day justin thanks đ
What a nice review on the R1. What are your thoughts on the AI Pin?
Probably better than the pin but still hart to see a use case that a phone canât ultimately incorporate.
i cant wait for the assistant on my phone to be able to do most of these tasks
id be interested to see a comparison of the flower identification compared to the iphones "visual lookup" feature for flowers.
I love the 'can I park here'? application while using it to 'look' at the sign. If my phone could do that..? đđ It's definitely moving in that direction, I get more 'info cards' on photos in my iPhone than ever. It even identified my brother's cat's breed lol
i swear they put this out just to flex their design chops. and i'm here for it. looking forward to mine making it to my house!
that Rabbit R1 looks amazing
She has 7,1 mln subscribers?? Why on earth is she impressed by this? Doesn't she have a phone?
You'll find this in every thrift store or bottom of kitchen drawer within 6 months.
Does it connect to your phone plan or Bluetooth has it got sim card in with data plan
You should have tried editing something from excel sheet using Rabbit R1.
That is clearly a paid ad, not to mention the edits to hide the response latency..
This is finally tech that feels fun again. People are gonna hat but i love the design and feel of it.
I want one.
All The Best âš
AI technology meets Gameboy hardware from the 1980s. It's a refreshingly retro design!
ok now I want one.
Its soo simple yet it foes such complex things
Justine you are very convincing and I might just buy one now. You've sold me đ”âđ«
Iâll check it out this summer when I get bored and itâs too hot to go outside.
9:52 This device would be better with a display that can generate photos and videos. For instance, when you asked about a photo to make it futuristic, it could also provide the photo as a result. That would be more exciting. đ€đ»đ€©
It can generate images through Mid journey for free.
Yeah it uses Midjourney but I get what you're saying, I feel like that's an easy software update
They will have this feature
They will have this feature
@@iJustine Yeah! I hope so. Plz Tell them to implement this. đđ»đđ
Activates it with a phone when itâs âintendedâ To replace a phone đđ
It looks good for children and grandparents. It makes the AI assistant much more accessible than smartphones/web interfaces.
i want this device for my daughter, how to buy?
Thanks
Thats so scary these bunch of AI systems collecting personal data without any regulation. No one knows who will collect our infos and how they will be used.
Holy poop. I canât wait for mine to arrive.
Warning, check their website re shipping to your country before you order, they wanted full payment for my order now obviously but wonât ship to Australia until years end and thatâs a maybe lol quote Shipping to Asia/Australia is expected to begin later in 2024, but we do not have a more definite estimate at this time.
Nice video,. Can it do something is exclusively and not available on the mobile phone?
I was just thinking that it looked kind of similar to the PlayDate console, which was designed in partnership with teenage engineering too. So it wasnât surprising to learn the rabbit was designed by them
Cool video ijustinw
What is with all the delay cuts?
I recommend Stephen Robles video on the rabbit R1. He gives an honest review and his real opinions on the the product.
A companion that is meant to stay in that zone and not tryna compete with phones as all we needed from handheld AI assistants.
That "I am not your mom" đ€Ł
does it have bluetooth for spotify?
Can this connect to Apple Music? Does it have bluetooth?
my fav†gadget it's pretty cool...
Will this provide daily news and current affairs? I mean, is it regularly updated or is it similar to ChatGPT, which has data only up to 2021?
It will because it uses Perplexity which, if you don't know it, it mixes LLMs with real time search on the internet, so you always get up to date information. Perplexity is open and you can already use it with some limitations if you want to understand how it works , so you can use it but with some limitations
This could be a great learning device for kids, and even adults.
looks super fun, but how is this ever gonna hold up against an app? i have not touched cash or even a credit card in months as my whole wallet was replaced by an app. the r1 has a great design and looks fun, but a phone has already all the hardware required, you can just make an app. i really don't want to think about charging and lugging around another device. i guess its aimed at people who like the design and 200 bucks just dont even show up on their account levels đ
Why are you and unbox therapy cutting out the loading times? Ive seen the live unboxing and test from rabbit and its there, considerably faster than Humanes AI pin but its still there. At 9:51 you scan the image of a woman and do 3 jump cuts in between talking to mask the loading times. What happened to unbiased consumer opinion? What a joke!
Thatâs a long loading time to get 3 cuts in of her in different positions
Having 1.5k dislike show that justine doesn't care anymore
can you use it to navigate like with google maps ?
This is such a cute little device, but I still don't get what it's really useful for.
Maybe as an accessibility assistant of some sort, but I haven't seen it do anything my wife couldn't do with Siri on her iPhone 4s more than a decade ago. She mostly used it to get directions and I now mostly use it to set cooking timers.
Sure, the responses are somewhat more embellished, but its assumptions are still often off the mark.
The biggest difference is that it doesn't defer to "Here's what I found on the Web."
It looks like it's from Fallout
