He missed a lot on the “double tap” gestures. It can do more than he thinks. It’s his fault for not doing his homework. Look it up yourself.

I use Double Tap to advance; but it ought to have a second gesture to select; instead of choosing one or the other. Perhaps a finger snap to select. And how about being able to double tap through the weather app; that would be killer.
I hate that they took away the swipe-up dashboard. I know it’s the main button now, but I’ve already grown accustomed to it swiping-up and now I just get a list of info I don’t care about.
Does these casetify bands come for small wrists? I really liked one for my daughter, but i dont find option for smaller band, like the apple original ones
What all widgets ya’ll be using?
I have a Sleep quality indicator widget and a 10 minute timer one. That’s all.
The workout and music ones show up automatically when they’re active which is perfect!
Coming from the series 5 to the ultra 2 is crazy amazing experience! im able to track my sleep now vs the poor 5 was holding up charging every night.

Been using this with the accessibility feature, looking forward to actually trying it in 10.1. Frustrating to hear that it doesn't work with all applications though :(
At least when you use it through accessibility, you get to know in advance if Double Tap would fo something or not and don’t have to experiment
That's why it's in beta right now. It's likely to change when full release, or shortly after. I can't see apple apps not working with it, they should down the road.

I think the double tap is intended to be used in situations where your other hand is full or busy, for example riding a bike or when you are carrying things or another situation could be if you are wearing gloves. It's not intended to be used in situations where you could just control it with your finger as usual.

Isn’t the battery life amazing just because it’s new? My Apple Watch Ultra V1 had that battery life a year ago when I bought it but it’s not now as good as it was (I still have 100% battery health tho’).
I saw a battery test video where the Ultra 2 lasted 50% longer than the Ultra 1. It wasn't a real world test because he just had the watches sitting on a table with the Micky Mouse watch face on the screen but still, 50% longer, that's impressive. I have the Ultra 1 and I have no desire to upgrade. Maybe the Ultra 4 might be a good time to upgrade.
Why do I feel like double tap existed a long time ago?? I was using it like last year? It was in the accessibility tab in settings…

I think that apps with no double tap support should at least have default Siri launching, that way you don’t just double tap for no reason.

I agree. I tried double tap and i am simply not satisfied with it. I just use the gestures accessibility feature that we have had for years. I set the pinch to open widgets and the clentch to scroll down. that makes it be able to do the same things the double tap feature can do and more.

I own a Apple Watch 6 at this time. I do not plan on moving to a new Apple Watch until new health tracking features are part of a new model.
The model I would be moving to is the Ultra with the sapphire crystal watch face. I have owned a high end precision watch in the past with sapphire crystal watch face that cost as much as the Ultra. The only thing it did was tell time.
Because I had screen gashes issue with my previous Apple Watch with my Apple Watch 6 I use the Smiling Case Compatible with Apple Watch Series 6/SE/Series 5/Series 4 44mm with Built in Tempered Glass Screen Protector,Overall Protective Hard PC Case Ultra-Thin Cover- Clear.
Now because of scratching mark issues to the face of the case, I recently replaced it with a new one for less than ten dollars. A new Apple replace watch face would have cost me much more. This is why unless any new Apple Watch does not have a sapphire crystal face I will put a Tempered Glass Screen Protector.
Great video. I like the look of those bands too, but Casetify is such a goofy name. I wish they didn’t put the logo on the outside of the band.

I upgraded to the Apple Watch ultra from the Apple Watch 6. This happened 1 week ago.
Battery life is impressive for me on my new Series 9 as compared to any of my previous watches. I’ve had an Apple Watch since Christmas of 2019. I started on a Series 3, which I ran for almost 3 years until it lost software support with watchOS 9, at which point I upgraded to the SE 2, and then just last week I upgraded to my Series 9 and traded in my SE 2. I can confidently say that it’s comparable to the Ultra 1, and I only have the 41mm variant (38mm S3 -> 40mm SE -> 41mm S9)
Double tap works on the first Apple Watch ultra.
The AWU 2 has the new S9. More innovative features will come… in due course, be patient.

Implementation of Double Tap in the Series 9 is horrible. Dimming the display to show that blob up there? No way.
In older watches, whenever Double Tap can be used, you’d see a blue frontier around whatever button can be tapped. It’s much better and doesn’t require you to experiment or learn where it would be used.
Ultra 3 will introduce triple tap😅😂

The double tap feature is just so that you can use your watch hands-free. How will an app be open automatically and then you will be double tapping in it? Its not made for the purpose you are using it for.
It should at least minimum have been on ultra 1
It's now a month after you made this video and double-tap still doesn't work with most apps - including stock apps that come with WatchOS. WTF, Apple??!?
To test how much more powerful the "faster" S9 chip is, I put two watches and my wrist - my new AWU2, and my two-year-old Series 7, which has essentially the same chip as the Series 6 & 8. I tried loading and using a bunch of different apps, stock and 3rd party, and I didn't notice any difference in speed of loading the apps or performance while using the apps. I don't think Apple is lying about the new chip's capabilities, it's just that the previous generation chip was already plenty fast for most of the things people do with their Watches.
Yes, battery life on the AWU2 is ridiculous. I can't believe how much charge I have left at the end of a full day. I don't have an AWU1 to compare it to, but compared to any non-Ultra Apple Watch, it's ridiculous. (by which I mean, insanely great)

When you have a notification, it does different things, not consistent Crap.
In some app it works, in some apps it does‘t, some apps it does totally different things. Crap.

Battery life of this watch is fantastic!
The Apple Watch 8 can do double tap too.
Battery life is same because even tho the U2 has a bigger battery capacity it is more brighter than the Ultra.

I like Apple's orange Ocean Band so much better than all those bands from Nomad, CASETiFY etc. The Apple band looks more dimensional and sophisticated. I really like the holes on the sides that give them that cool look.

When people say that the battery life is “insane” as far as a having a 2 day battery life, should check the dictionary as to what insane actually means. What you should have said, this is a nice improvement. That’s all it is nothing insane. When it gets to be seven day battery life that would be called a wonderful improvement.
It is insane battery life tho. This is a watch with a huge display. One of the brightest screens on a smartwatch… on top of all the apps you can run plus health features. Not to mention 2 days of usage WITH always on display… so yea it’s one of the best smart watch when it comes to battery life.
So is this review complaining about a feature in beta not being quite finished yet?

Apple Watch OS 10 ruined the experience for all Apple Watches! They changed all the easy to use fantastic features and made me have to do multiple more steps to see something that was one tap before! Apples software team needs to be fired! I’m to the point of selling my watch and never coming back!
Especially the Now Playing screen!
The Airplay and queued songs buttons are now two taps away and WHY TF would I want thr album art to be visible when my wrist is down?!

You have to double squeeze and make a fist twice to activate the crown. That’s how to scroll while in the activity app. That’s actually how you scroll with the gestures. You would know that if you had done your homework. I also have the ultra 2. I had no problem finding out how to use it because I followed the instructions when setting it up. Do better. This is a terrible review.
