Not being biased but even the se 2 is something your never gonna regret buying
Agreed! Great value watch
Agreed. First timer and worth it
@@iqstudiomalaysia2401 I am still rocking the Apple Watch SE 1st Generation with cellular and I don’t regret it. Hasn’t let me down.
Agreed i already used it a few months and im so inpressed
I got the se 2 ultra does nothing more for me other than the better battery 🔋
So I play competitive football ⚽️ and I like to wear a watch while we are training. Which one would you recommend? SE or series 9?
I use a series 2 for work bc I paid $50 and only use it to answer calls but can’t decide what to get for outside of work
Thanks for sharing I’m enjoying my Apple Watch SE 1 generations
Here I am with the Series 3 😅definitely upgrading to the Ultra 2. It’s time 😂
The only downside to this comparison was your statement on the stainless steel variants being "...for the looks..." - the Stainless Steel has the added benefit of being a Sapphire Crystal display instead of the regular glass of the Aluminium watches.
You get the polished looks, but the glass is SO much more durable it's def. worth mentioning.
I had a Series 5 SS and it was incredibly scratch resistent.
You get the polished looks, but the glass is SO much more durable it's def. worth mentioning.❤❤❤
That Sapphire Crystal display still scratches at lvl 6 with deeper grooves at lvl 7
I upgraded from the series 6 to the ultra watch 2 and love it!
This was such a helpful review for me! I feel the need to upgrade for the health features on the 9 but was hoping to use LTE and leave my phone at home on a regular basis for productivity. Your review re battery life on LTE has just saved me a lot of money!
This video was just what I needed to hear, thanks
Got ultra 1 this year and … blimey, the visual difference in comparison to my old black series 8 is huge. It looks like a watch, not a … toy, but that might be because I have always liked bigger, slightly rugged silver watches, which is a bit of shocker considering I have a 13 mini and no plans to change it until software supports tun out.
R the watches stereo speakers or mono
Great video, thank you! I thought to get Series 9, BUT.....apparently my indestructible 2013 iPhone 5s with iOS 12 not supported by Apple Watch S9.
Great comparison video! It's worth noting that on the AW Ultra, only the Ultra-tailored watch faces, Wayfinder and Modular Ultra, have the night-mode feature (as far as I can tell!). Otherwise, great video! I love my AW Ultra 2, gamechanger for someone who's never had an Apple Watch. :)
Thanks man! Ah yep, good point on the night-mode faces.
Is it your first one? Loving mine!
This is exactly the video I needed. I would also like to point out how handy that little bar within each section of the video was for my attention span. Neat style choice.
Great, in-depth video. I have Apple watch 7 41 mm and it's comfortable for me.
While comparing SE and Series 9, you keep showing the image of Ultra 2. It's a bit confusing...
In Canada some life insurance companies provide Apple Watch incentives and rebates. Employee's in the Public and Private sector can write them off as a business expense in some situations. I work for an American company and claimed mine as a safety device for working on ladders in remote areas. There's all kinds of programs to get them at a hefty discount, you just have to explore corporate HR policies.
Great video mate 👌🏾
Great analysis. Thanks for helping me make my decision Peter.
Really appreciate how through this was! I’m trading in my old Samsung watch today and needed some advice on which to get!
I use double tap all the time because I work on things and use both my hands quite often. I also enjoy using Siri to turn on and off the Flashlight.
Look. I’m 12 and I’m confused on should I get the se or s9 but I never had an Apple Watch so witch one should I get and I’m also in to this kind of tech and for me it’s 164 kd for the s9 and I have that money so witch one should I get 😊
"Thank you for the video. It is greatly appreciated."
General consensus seems to be that the s9 offers not a lot over the S8, so if you can get a deal on the S8 get that rather than a 9. Will personally be waiting for the upgrade with blood sugar sensor, I think that's what is missing for me.
When is that one coming out?
What would you recommend for a skinny wrist
If I currently have a Series 8, is it worth the upgrade to the Ultra 2? I want something more rugged and something that can handle more outdoor activities.
Until I can FaceTime on one of these I’ll stick with my SE2 😅
Very helpful review. Thank you.
I’ll just wait for the next one coming up this sept-Oct if there even is one
Which Apple Watch is YOUR favourite? And, if you don't own one, why not?
My favourite Apple Watch is the Series 8.
Still a great watch, no real reason to upgrade imo!
Agreed 👍
Ultra 2 💙
I have ultra 1 and s9 hermes
I’m going with sr8 this year. Waiting for big update on srX next year.
And the SE has a bigger border than the S9 :))
I am going from an oppo x2 lite and original galaxy watch to an iphone 15 plus and an SE this saturday. The watches heart sensor and sleep tracking on the Galaxy is useless and this is the main reason I am going over to Apple, I am looking forward to a total geek out on Saturday learning the ins and outs of Apple and setting it all up, even bought a bathroom scale to match.
haha! Love it! One that talks to your iPhone? Which one!
Didn’t know you were into Architects! Nice one! 🤘
🙌🏼 Heck yeah!
What would you recommend for me for my mainly fitness purpose with small hands but broad wrist? Thanks
I think the best option for you is to go to the nearest Apple Store or any other electronics store and try different watches yourself because it’s hard to say what will fit you best. 😉
@@denisfomin6690 thanks! This makes sense. 🤓
Yep.. Here in Malaysia we have AIA Vitality, if you’re active, your watch is paid for by rebates!
Oh nice! Thats so cool. Always thought it was just the UK
I bought an se2, the only problem are the big bezels
Is the no keyboard a problem?
I really want the Stainless steel, but here in Mexico is much the same price for stainless steel and ultra, both locked with gps + cell
So, not much to think abut it. 947 USD the stailess steel 9... vs 1,066 USD the Ultra 2...
Great video!
You made me realise that I really do not need a smartwatch haha thanks
😅
series 7 or SE2 ?
Simple question maybe, I’ve always had GPS only watch - with LTE, does the watch have a separate number? Would one’s phone auto direct calls to watch if not close by?
You need to ask for an additional SIM from your cell phone provider, it will be the same number. It's usually free or very cheap.
I have zero knowledge about those watches but going to get the s9/ultra1/2 as my first, I’m definitely not an athlete, maximum is running, but want a decent battery, if someone can help on what to get it’ll be great:)
Very informative review tho🙏
I have a series 9 and SE, from my experience I would definitely get the series 9 for your first Apple Watch
I currently have the Apple Watch Series 5 WiFi only and honestly I think I want to upgrade to a series 9 with the cellular version bc I want to leave my phone home sometimes just to run to the store or the fear of getting robbed for my phone 🤷🏾♂️lol… thank you for this video definetly helped me a lot . ❤️
People are still stealing phones in 2024? Smh
Def need the ultra. The battery life and lte is most of what I want watch for
Really wish the Ultra came in more colours. Probably gonna go from my Series 5 SS Gold to the 9.
Assuming you’re speaking of the Ultra 2 as you showed the 3k nits which the first version cannot do, the depth is not 40 meters. It is 100 meters. Not even the Series 9 is 40 meters.
Got my first Apple Watch today went with the se 2nd
Series 4 here and 44mm should I upgrade and what should I upgrade 2
Last year, I upgraded from 4 to 8… tbh if you get the SE, it’s a huge upgrade for aa smaller price
I upgraded from the series 6 to ultra 2 I get an upgrade bc I get my Apple Watches from my carrier and I pay monthly installments on them as well as my new IPhone 15!
Very honest and with a lot of sense!
What the uk is doing for y’all is what they should do for the US. An incentive to be active and I bet you everyone would do it I sure would
As long as taxpayer dollars aren't subsidizing any of it.
I'm between getting a series 9 or an ultra 1
which one do you recommend?
they are both going for the same price in my city
ultra for sure
Switched from pixel to iPhone 15pro recently. My old Amazfit bip2 still works with it. It shows time, weather, notifications, the eink is always on and battery still lasts 45 days.
Maybe i need to try, but i don’t see any feature of any Apple Watch that would be better than 45 days battery, sometimes even longer.
I think it depends if you want any of the more smart stuff that's in the watch. Navigation, Siri, replying to messages, find my device etc -
Not everyone needs a computer on their wrist though!
@@PeteMatheson that's true. however the iphone itself does it better and nicer than the watch. Iphone is nice to pay with, to use siri, respond to messages... etc...
Find my device - recently I couldn't find my iphone, and I asked google nest to find it. It found it :)
For my case I'm not convinced to exchange 2 months battery life to mildly duplicated iphone's features on the watch.
The battery last for 45 days because it does less not to much going on so of course 🤦♀️🤷♀️
@@klukiyan you do apply pay in the Apple Watch
recently joined the Apple ecosystem and I just went for the first gen ultra
Very nice first purchase! First gen, pretty much the same as the 2nd Gen to be fair :) Where did you grab it, Amazon?
@@PeteMatheson yep, decent price at the moment too
What is the health strap you are wearing
Ah that’s the Whoop 👍🏼
Being American my mind IS blown, vitality is a great idea 🔥
I have the generic TikTok version of an Apple Watch right now. I’m contemplating on getting an Apple SE 2nd edition OR the series 9. Is there a keyboard on the SE series?
My mom has the SE, it doesn’t have a keyboard for texting.
@@nikkilewis3739 I have the series 3 for now. I was able to download the app FlickType. I just use the scribble or the mic for now. How does your mom like the SE 2nd Ed?
first time im excited for a christmas gift in a LONGGGG time. im 22 now and feel like a kid😂
Me to and I’m 41
Tomorrow
5:12 Architects 🤘
excellent video man
Are all the apple watch band sizes the same? Because i want a 49” but have a small wrist
There’s 2 different sizes
38 mm 40mm 42mm 44mm 45mm 49mm
@@IGH414 but are there smaller bands for the 49mm on other sites?
Which metal band is that on your Ultra?
LOL that is insane .... with he vitality... using that to get a MK3 w 2 sonar [2.5kusd /10]*6 would be amazing...
Awesome content! Keep it coming
Thank you!
I'm thinking of getting an apple watch again and an ipad. I am sticking with apple. I have my iphone 13 and wanna have a tablet, computer, watch. The computer is a future purchase cause I don't have 1200 dollars lol
BRB moving to the UK to join Vitality. Jk but really nice video. SE for me. As you say, if you're not careful, you end up doubling that spend.
I’ve owned the 45mm Series 7 in stainless steel, gold finish, until recently for maybe a year and a half. I was perfectly happy with it and could’ve kept it for another while but I upgraded anyway because of the quite tempting price of the first generation Ultra on Amazon.
First I wasn’t sure if that’s going to be the right decision since it’s lacking some new specs, but then my thought process was as follows:
The Ultra is still going to be one generation ahead of my previous watch, it’s still going to feel like an upgrade going from 45mm to Ultra (especially battery, different design and the screen may not be quite as bright as Ultra 2 but brighter than Series 7 plus new exclusive watch faces) and thankfully the cheapest option on Amazon came with a band I could live with at a great price point (original price 999€, Amazon price with Alpine Loop size M was 704€).
I couldn’t justify paying almost 200€ more for just a few features in a watch that looks exactly the same as the one I ended up getting.

hi i use to much messanger fot voiceemail like iam lazy to txt usualy i get voicemail from my friends so can i hear that or just only txt in messenger or whats up app pls let me know thanks
There is an alternative option that wasn't put in this video.. buying one of the older watches.
The Apple Watch's CPU hasn't been upgraded since the Series 6, It has had the same battery capacity since the very beginning at 295mah, the Series 7 for example might have an S7 instead of an S8 chip, but they run practically the same and the Series 7 will give you more features than the SE and would cost less second hand than a brand new SE. It also has the fast charging that the Series 9 has and the SE lacks, which I think you really underplayed by saying it's slightly slower. It can charge to 100% in just over 1 hour, it takes nearly 2 hours for the SE to reach 100%.
New isn't always best.
Confusing for sure. The naming conventions don't seem to having anything to do with each other. Thanks, Apple!
Already have the watch ultra, will probably hold back for a few more years since it still gets the job done
It’s only a year old
Debating which watch to get for 14 yr old son…SE 2 or splurge on 9. Also, standard or bigger screen size?
Personally I’d say smaller screen, SE2, then cellular if you want him to be able to use the watch & message him if he loses his phone?
The dealbreaker for me is the keyboard on the s9 😭
Do all the watches have the same battery life
Question, can i use it when i play football? Will it break it i slide or fall?
Absolutely! They’re all pretty tough and will easily survive football. I wear mine playing ice hockey!
UPDATE - SE2 also comes in more colour variants now and product red, comes in the stainless steel and multiple other strap options. Also feel like the first part of the video about SE2 was more about why you should get a series 9 lol
So in conclusion it’s not worth it to buy smartwatch that cost as much as a phone hey? Coz it depreciate like toilet paper?
@@NourMoghrabi I was thinking of getting ultra 2? Seems like not worth it? Or should I get the venu 3 from Garmin?
Over here in the U.S paying like 350 a month for health insurance with 0 discounts on anything else. Yet i still have to pay out of pocket if i go to the DR.... our healthcare is a Joke here!
Yeah that is absolutely insane :(
My big question with the Ultra is whether I would want to live with a watch that big.
In my opinion you also glanced over the wear and tear over the years where the cheaper S9 can be greatly scratched and chipped in a years time. The more expensive S9 not as much and the U2 protects the glass even more. Going on from the idea to atleast use the device for 5-7 years I think it’s worth the price? But please change my mind
It really depends, because if you get the base one, and it gets beat up and damaged, you can literally buy a new watch with the money you saved by not getting the stainless steel. Double the price is only really worth it if you get way more than double the life, otherewise you could get the cheaper one with a refresh half way.
Excellent guide
Glad it was helpful!
I wanna buy the iphone 15 but schould i get apple care?
The extra light would actually help in bright sunlight rather than when its not as bright.
i am not sure i can agree with automatic watches holding their value in time, now and then they got to be serviced and that service is awfull, expensive the least and take months to do it
The Apple Watch lost its appeal when they eliminated the ability to get notifications on both your phone and watch. It makes no sense.
Apple Watch still get notifications when I get it in the phone
@@NourMoghrabi If you’re on the most up to date operating system of IOS on your devices, you will not get an audio notification on both your phone and watch. Apple has made it so if you have a watch connected to a phone and that phone is locked, the notification goes to your watch. You will get the notification on the Lock Screen, but there is no sound via phone.
@@_jaber1 yea you right
Yes still have notif
second hand s7
I just bought second hand series 7
I got lost watching this video. You are so fast and I could not remember what you said.
I’m planning on buying the new Apple Watch in 2024
First of all Thank you very much for your time and effort, secondly I’m kind of low budget so I’m thinking about 9sr.
My question is, which one and which colour is the best for any dress?
Thanks again.
Red color is my favorite
Can you wear the Apple Watch in the sauna and can you track this activity?
The Ultra 2 is 799$ I Would get it but that Price is insane Because I don’t Have 799$🤣🤣
Instead of Watch SE go for a refurbished Apple Watch series 6. It's a more sensible budget watch.
So what happens if the police come up to you and now you don’t have your phone to record them just get beat up now
Would not buy because of design
My s7 better
You can’t even buy the series 9 or ultra 2 in the us no more 💀😂
U can buy series 9 and ultra 2 at target or best buy
Choosing the right Apple Watch depends on several factors including your budget, the features you need, and your personal style preferences. Here’s a brief overview to help you decide:
1. Apple Watch Series 7: Offers a larger, more durable display and faster charging. Ideal if you want the latest tech and don’t mind spending more.
2. Apple Watch SE: A more affordable option with many of the core features of the higher-end models. Great for those who want a balance between functionality and price.
3. Apple Watch Series 3: The most budget-friendly option, but lacks some of the newer features and design improvements. Suitable for basic use.
Consider these factors:
• Budget: Decide how much you’re willing to spend.
• Usage: Think about how you’ll use the watch (fitness tracking, health monitoring, connectivity, etc.).
• Compatibility: Ensure the watch is compatible with your iPhone model.
• Design and Size: Choose a design and size that fits your wrist and style preferences.
• Health Features: If you’re interested in health tracking, consider models with more advanced health features like ECG and blood oxygen monitoring.
Remember, newer models generally offer more features and better performance but come at a higher cost. It’s a balance between what you need, what you want, and what you’re willing to spend.
Is this copy & paste from chatgpt? Why even talk about series 7?
