  • This is my watch review of the Oris ProPilot X Calibre 400, reference 01 400 7778 7153-07 7 20 01TLC (the version with the grey dial).
Note: During the measurements I misspoke when measuring the 19.5mm lug width, saying "lug-to-lug" instead (which I did earlier in the video). You can clearly see I am measuring lug width when I say it but wanted to denote the correction here as well.

Congratulations Dennis. I know little about the Oris brand, but their quality is supposed to be very good.

They can call it whatever they want, it looks like a dress watch to me.
That movement and the overall quality oris has is awesome. Titanium watches are great, i have a few. Some with coating and some arent, idk how much thats affective against scratches in the "real world".
I love Oris! Congrats buddy and thank you for an honest review.. 🙂

I am not sure if this was more scratch prone than my steel. You can see I put a few on it (there were none when I received it so I know they are from me) but seems about on par with what I get on steel. Maybe a bit easier to see. The comfort though, I definitely get why some greatly favor titanium just for that reason!

Its a really striking watch. About that lume, so I'm doing a painting for my nephew right now that uses clear glow in the dark paint on top of black paint and it glows very well, so it can be done. Really I think it would be better if they just left it off. The hesitation I have with it and any grade 2 titanium watch is that it shows scratches very well and for the retail price I really think they should have used grade 5 or just kept it steel. All in all awesome watch just not for me.

Nice review 👍 I like the case, bracelet and movement, but I don't understand why they would make a tool style watch with virtually no contrast between the dial and hands, the poor lume also makes it surprisingly impractical.

It seems to me they took a tool line and wanted to more Date-Just it to give it more settings to make sense in. But obviously that comes at a price to its usefulness as a tool.
