I was given my first ORIS in 1975, I was 11 years old, it still works perfectly, I have several others, vintage and recent. I love the brand.

Hey Abdullah, great video, I aspire to one day purchasing an Oris, specifically either a Pro Diver Chronograph, Depth Gauge, Dive Control or Aquis Chronograph. But let me say that what really made me fall in love with Oris is their restauration videos that are so well done that I chomp at the bit to see which gorgeous model they will restore next. The filming is exquisite, lighting perfect, editing is right on the money. One thing I would love to see them do is a tour of their facilities, and profiles of their watchmakers. It's one thing to see their hands working skillfully on their watches but I would be curious to hear from them how they came to watchmaking and to Oris in particular. I would be interested to know what they prefer, assembling a watch or restoring one or perhaps working on designing new features. Maybe Oris will read this, fingers crossed!
Oris is one of my favourite brands. They are thoughtful, indépendant from other brands, innovative and consider the opinions of the consumer! I am currently building my collection around the brand.

I think increasingly watch companies are considering their marketing strategies to improve sales.
This is a very appealing approach from Oris to consumers. It keeps it ‘real’ and unpretentious, which is very refreshing.
Targeting social media platforms like active watch instagramers and you tube video channels like yourself are a virtually free way for them and others to attract more customers. The whole event probably cost less than the sale of a couple of watches. But they potentially have reached out to thousands of watch enthusiasts. Smart.
It also helps that their watches are excellent.
I don’t like it when a promotional event tries to shove their watches down your throat.
Salaam bro, this is great. I really feel Oris is one of the top brands out there. If I was to start collecting again, the Aquis would probably be my pick. Just beautiful.

I tried on the two tone gold/blue Aquis a couple months ago. It was very comfortable despite it's girth. And sooo pretty. Almost too pretty for me, but I want one. It wont be the next watch i buy, but it's definitely on the list.
I've been on those Oris events, it's my favorite brand. That's why I bought 2 of them and plan to buy more 😊

I purchased the Aquas New York harbor several months ago and love it ! It’s mother of pearl dial shimmers depending on the lighting . It’s by far the most beautiful watch in my collection . It has the basic workhorse SW 200 movement and keeps excellent time . I would definitely buy a second Oris

The way oris connecting to the customer is way much better than other brand
I love Oris. I have three Myself, and really don't wear anything else. I believe one of their slogans is also "regular watches for regular people", and that's something I can relate to
My favourite watch from Oris has to be the Chronoris Williams 40th Anniversary edition with the brown strap.
My first watch was an Oris retangle in the 90s my last watch was the Aquis cal400
I don't own any Oris watches, but have always been impressed with the design language of the brand. I'm happy they finally retired the cheap and tacky red rotor they used to have.
Those still exist in their Selitta-based movements. Apparently Oris and Sellita have a long history of working together, so don't expect them to ditch those anytime soon. But I feel like based on their recent releases, they seem to be making the public get used to their higher-end models. Oris is definitely moving up-market!
I have always dreamed to have the Flight Timer R4118 limited edition, unfortunately is a limited edition. But wait a minute Oris can release a bronze version of the R4118 😀
Oris is the brand that goes its own way, "love it or leave it", without succumbing to extreme marketing trying to be cool.
Other brands spend *tons* of money trying to be *this* hip thing, or trying to speak to *that* target group, just so people find their watches.
Oris just makes luxury watches for people who will find *them*.
Everyone is looking at the Aquis, but the Oris 65 with the bronze bezel is an **amazing** looking watch that's imho been overlooked.
I have an oris arterlier 2007 on grey market with 700$, pretty good.

As far as I know, Oris only designs their movements in house, but they don't manufacture them. They're still impressive, but I think it's an important distinction.
Sadly my local Oris AD is a bit of a tool which turned me off when it comes to the brand.
My favourite is Oris 65 with old design. Marvel. I think Oris is what Rolex use to be.

Best place to check is your local Oris Social Club group on Facebook. Typically, they'll post all the info regarding upcoming events.
Oris gives you coffee, all the commenters: “you’ve been bought!! So biased!” Also I love their bronze watches. Don’t have one yet though

Yes they might be good watches but they have a shity service. They ask for the watch back to their repair center and overcharge you.

Love the remark of the ‘ crappy ‘ plastic watch, what a great way to degrade ‘ high end ‘ watches.. let’s make some cheap plastic watches and stick a fancy name on, laughing stock of a company.
Retailwise oris watches are overpriced. I bought an oris james morrison limited edition for roughly 1/3rd the price just last month and it was from cashconverters in Australia. Now that same watch is retailing for 500 AUD extra. 2 AUD ~ 1 £. And it is brand new. Box, paper I got all of it.
I would expect oris to go the CW route and give discounts and all and save money on the retail stuff. Go B to C route. They will be able to provide much cheaper watches when they would cut the middleman and after they gain the market, get a minimalistic niche product (not like bel canto) but something that people associate with the brand. Boom. People will go gaga like they went for the bel canto. It has worked for doxa, tudor, and in higher end brands like jlc, ressence and many more. Oris is vintage, around 120 years old. They can do that. But I know they won't listen to the consumers. Oris don't listen. Unfortunately.

Only ONE reason why you shouldn't buy an Oris: This crap is screwed together from Asian parts and then sold as "Swiss Made"... This is perfect for idiots!
And by the way: I HATE this brand... It's not a brand, it's a scam!

This is common knowledge - at least among watch experts.
But if you like Oris, ignore it...
An example: Oris demands € € 2.100.- for a watch with a Sellita SW200-1...
Marc & Sons charge only € 740.- for a Watch with the same movement...
Oris is a scam - like almost all "Swiss Made" watches 👎
