    Your channel is new to me. Enjoyed this video. I am a Breguet lover. I own the recently discontinued Marine with Black dial in rose gold. It was one of my grail watches. Their classic series is just that: classically beautiful, refined, and tasteful.

    Great vid. Love them. Style, Turbine knurling. Cal 400, Titanium, Aero Seat Buckle Clasp, 5 Day PR, Cosc type accuracy. Just picked up the blue dial. It’s in the way. I know I paid more for ea of my 2 Omega twin barrels!

    Oris Aquis Regulateur "Der Meistertaucher" on the red rubber strap.
    This release is a standout for me. Gray and blue are my favorites but I haven't seen them in the metal yet. This is Oris take on the modern sports watch and I love it. Will be my 4th Oris.

    Have to say it has quite a standout look with that almost chiselled design. It would make a good choice for a pilot as a dress watch. Those radial cuts in the bezel are reminiscent of the blades in a turbofan. If you look at the shape of the crown , it's rather like the thrust nozzle of a fighter jet , look at an F35 or a mig. You wouldn't wear it flying one though , I'd be wearing an IWC or a Fortis for that. Think I'd go with the grey, it's subtle. Like you Harrison, my first proper quality watch was an Oris. I have 3 with I bought in the late eighties. They were a great entry level Swiss watch, but I think They're a bit better than that now. Sadly mine are now lost on my wrist, they just look tiny at 36mm , so gifted to my son.

    Hmm...I never really had Oris on my radar but am looking for a 50th birthday milestone watch. These caught my eye...I think they look great. The blue or grey would be my vote. Oris almost hit a homerun here with the grey dial one. The only thing i dislike is the dull hour and minute markers. It's like it doesn't fit the profile of the case and bracelet. Just look at Aqua Terra, Zenith's Defy classic etc with similar vibe and how they did the markers. Would have liked to see the markers designed to match the rugged swordhands.

    Personally I love simple watches and have always moved towards the pilot style of watches so may be quite bias but I love these how they are super simple but also have their own flair and can show a lot of personality. The only thing for me is the price range and I really want to get one but can't find myself justifying the price for it just yet. Someone please convince me!!!

    I like everything about the watch apart from the dial. I don't know if I would find it interesting enough, the indices being just printed on it and not applied. I would go for the blue one and make sure I try one on in person to decide.

  • @Celestias
    @Celestias Před rokem +1

    My three biggest issues with this watch:
    1. Painted indeces (and literally every other detail on the dial). Very cheap.
    2. The indeces aren't lumed either?! REALLY?!
    3. AT $5000?!
    This watch is interesting and I really wanted to love it, but at its current state is worth $2000 TOPS for me. Not $5000. Tissots (like PRX) are better executed, have more brand and model heritage, for 1/10th of the price.

    I don't think a 10 year guarantee translates into confidence that the movement is extremely trustworthy. Instead, it's just a marketing strategy that attracts customers. And the premium you pay when purchasing more than covers the price of service should it be needed. Anyway, many watches today make it to 10 years before service. Maybe the parts eat at each other significantly but it can go for a decade.

    When it comes to watches a rule of thumb is to ignore the criticism of the watch community cause it’s really old fartish. They hate anything bolder than the Sub, Speedmaster and a few others looking like they are from the 1960s. Unfortunately the watch community has a retarded view on watches, no need to take it into consideration
