Very impractical, but very cool. This is the reason why i love scrap mechanic, it can make you build impractical stuff just because its satisfying
Grippage, but still allowing the claw to swing freely like a real crane would, this is beautiful
It's time to place a refiner next to that container that's connected to an intricate tubing system that takes it to a box that's connected to a craftbot in your workshop nearby.
Imagine building this in survival, all that wheels and beeswax will take at least 3 days of griding
better then glue clam grinding....
The way it slots in is so satisfying

Nice! You should also try mobilizing this process. I’ve been able to make a tank-like machine that you drive into rocks and immediately collects all stone and metal. I should really start playing scrap mechanic again. :)
That's exactly what I did for efficiency, but sometimes making cool things that are impractical is part of the fun.

How have i not seen this sooner?!? Very cool builds my mans. Props to you,i cannot fathom the grind though,things like component kits and tier 3 metal is already bad lol
The good thing about a maxed out controller is so none of that even needs fuel or batteries. A constant grinding machine.

Previously, the electric motor did not feel the weight, which gave an advantage at the maximum level of pumping before the update of the battery recipe. A rather clever RUSSIAN CZcamsr created unusual mechanisms.
I know this isn’t in a real survival world but WOW that many wheels would take SO much honey (but still a very cool experiment)

that is one way to process rocks
also i noticed some rocks are under the ground and you have to do some clipping to get to them which feels dirty but it's the only way unless fantmod or axolot put them to a more reachable area

You can make a whole moving factory
Put the refinery on a trailer and have the arm at the front of the trailer, you drive the whole thing.
Nice but, you know that the Refinebot will pick the stuff in the storage where the stone or any resource right?
But it is pretty great, although too impractical.

hook a controller up to the wheels on the grabber, then have them rotate inward on a loop at like 5 degrees, should lower the chance of dropping
Have tried this, it seems to slip like they can't grip over a short while, like trying to pick up butter lol

Make a trailer and rail so you can carry multiple and then bam you got a vehicle and a rock processor that works with maximum effiency

It might seem pointless to you, but with a game thats dead, making factories and adding in unnecessary elements of game play, mining, transporting etc are a way to add life to the game.
If your playing survival for the first time, you make a simple creation that collects at source..
But when you have done that 50k times.. its boring...
Sometimes, people like to switch things up and explore machines, regardless how unnecessary it is.

you need to drive to rock u want and grab it back to the processing thing why not just put it in land vehicle

I made a really basic walking thing a while ago 🤔 unfortunately I am not able to build cool stuff like others though 😅

This is like 10x a waste of time when you can just put drills on the front of the vehicle and have the box on the sides. A stationary processing plant is a complete waste of time and resources.
