- RimWorld played on the hardest difficulty, without pause or game-changing mods, on the most unforgiving map - Sea Ice - starting with nothing (not even clothing), against Randy Random.
Sea Ice is not the same as Ice Sheet. Sea Ice has no resources. You can also never deep drill on sea ice.
This is meant to be a challenge run that doesn't use too many DLC 'cheeses'. It may be long, repetitive, or even boring for long stretches. If it becomes too stale we will start using more DLC mechanics.

You make the game look trivial it’s crazy. I’ve sunk far too many hours into failed sea ice colonies.
I'll note that a simple well made parka is enough to survive in a literal ice hell with -70 degrees

In my dreams there's a supercut of Adam saying sea ice is boring, not as much of a challenge as everyone seems to think it is, and generally complaining about how not fun is it as the !seaice trigger.
Longest call you've been on : 10+ hours. Saw the comment and wanted to share that being in IT and at some point a pseudo call center with IT people. I would like to say I enjoy your CZcams content and I've learned a few things from you after putting in 1.5k hours into this gem of a game. Thanks for the entertainment.
Just wanted to chime in on the "favorite pawn" discussion. I dont think any pawn will ever replace Experiment for me. That was my first run of yours to watch, witnessing him grow from a little whelp to a god tier vampire was amazing!

Hearing you talk about that first melee only run at around 9:00:00 brought back the memories! That was like a Homeric epic from start to finish. What an emotional journey it was! I still go back and watch it. So many memorable moments and characters. Thank you so much for taking the time to upload the whole thing and, most of all, for not giving up on them through all their hard luck and pain!

That's the playlist you want. It's 20 videos long, and boy are they memorable. (You can also search through his playlists, but it's kind of far down, between a Naked Brutality and his first Ideology playthroughs.)

glad you picked a challenge. the last good ice sheet i watched was pete, but he turned into 3/4 machinima with patreons writing the script and aint nobody got time for that.
Pete got so boring to watch once he leaned hard into taking suggestions mid-run. I'm sure it's great for his super fans who want to hang out with him in particular but awful for interesting game play.

19:14 You can absolutely deep drill for steel on the sea ice. You don't get stone chunks when you drill, but if you scan for deposits you can mine them as normal.

you are 100% correct. im playing an anomaly run right now for the first time, but i have all the dlcs. and ideology and biotech are just integrated into every run in a way that anomaly isnt.

Adam always opens up the run with saying "we could die" or "we'll reset a lot"
I dont think i've seen adam die or reset from scratch since the zombie run xD

i was interested in watching your elden ring videos and streams, i had the opportunity but i didnt want spoilers so i passed. I think at least some people that play elden ring might have avoided you too for this reason. But i think the majority of people that didnt follow were simply because it wasnt rimworld.
@2:47 if you left the meat outside could it help keep frozen as well as bring savaging animals for hunting?
Idk if you read comments anymore, i doubt it, but at the start with random+ how were you rolling for nimble tough without it being a required trait in the top right of the popup window?
I never read comments.
You can set them in the scenario to always roll. Click scenario. Click 'Edit Scenario'. Click 'Forced Trait'. Choose what you want and then make sure to put 'Player Starting Character'. Huge time saver over rolling for a trait you were going to sit and roll for anyway.

Naked brutality usually involves no inventory, where would the go juice come from?
If someone is addicted to a drug they start with a few of them, even on Naked Brutality. You can go test it yourself (yes, even if it doesn't show it on the character when making the pawn).

How does the vanilla way to survive naked brutality sea ice work? Ok, so you kill a muffalo....96 base bluefur means 63 max for unclean slaughter, 44 without a butcher table. Parka needs 80 material, and you need a tailor bench to make it. Unless your map has 2 muffalo to kill and a steel meteorite crashing instantly, you aren't making parkas anytime soon. You still need to pray for someone in clothes to enter your map, and strip them...and eat them.
Choose a 'warm' sea ice map (there are seeds where you can have a few days before death). Do as said, make tribal wear at crafting spot (more cold production than crash landed clothing 55 vs 47 iirc or something close). Then you basically 'start' from where this started as mentioned - a quest for a parka and a building material.
