Hey guys, one thing to know about Colorado is that we have high sales tax! Most of us have to pay between 8 to 10% sales tax on our cars. The $5000 credit goes right back into tax. It’s almost a net zero scenario. That’s better than having to pay full taxes for a gas car, but it’s still a pain due to taxes for an EV. Case in point for a Model 3 performance is actually net $400 ($5000 - $4600).

What/when was the 2023 M3P’s highest price in the U.S. ?
Tesla needs to make the leases for Model X more reasonable. The lease payment is about 60% higher than it should be for a vehicle that of that retail price.

A used Tesla was the best buy for me. I just picked it up this week 6/24 and love it. I make too much to qualify for the 11k in rebates here in MA (don’t hate Boston is reallyexpensive), so watching a new model y depreciate driving off the lot didn’t sit right. I found used model Y for 44k. It’s an off lease 23 LR with 5k miles on it. A new 24 would be 49k. The kicker to the deal is it came with FSD and the performance boost, a combined 10k in added value. I drive around 500 highway miles a week, Ive gotten so used to FSD since Monday that it was hard to believe everyone does not have it. I’m by no means a tree hugger, I once dropped a Chevy 350 in my 88 jeep wrangler.
This used vehicle was purchased through Tesla’s web site. It also comes with an additional year and 10k miles of warranty on the entire vehicle. This is why they don’t let leased vehicles optioned a buy out,

I was pretty much like her, bought my m3p at absolute peak of 70K after taxes in 2022. Worth now about 26k after 41k miles. I save 4-5000$ a year in gas and maintenance but I'll be 'buried in it' as the car salesmen say. I paid it off in about 15 months, so dont worry about being underwater. Thats an issue if you want to ditch it or car gets totaled and you dont a\have GAP insurance.
Howcome the model y performance is 750 a month for a lease 36/15k is that normal with 0 down ...and you still gotta give them 4k at signing...

I’ve had my new model Y for 5 weeks now. I absolutely love it. I knew when I drove it off the lot the car would depreciate big time. This is very new for me since every car I’ve owned has been Toyota/Lexus which always hold their value. I traded in a Toyota Camry that was 5 years old and I only lost 6k owning it for 5 years. I bought the Tesla to keep it. When I’m ready ro get rid of it the car will be fully deprecated. Lease the Tesla if you want a new car within 5 years or expect to lose your ass
on bright side you should be saving lots in gas maintenance costs
