Not a surprise. Tesla had to save somewhere. But if you upgrade to the white interior are all of the surfaces the same in both trims? (e.g. the door panel)
I just placed my LR RWD order yesterday and at first, I was a little upset but then I thought. Are those options really worth $5k? My answer is no. Sticking with RWD for now. Thank you for explaining!
For me it's not a deal breaker, I have the std range now, I'd be happy getting the extra range and a bit faster 0-60, plus like the all weather floor mats.
both options depending: currently the panasonic goes in the tax credit version. To view the vehicles with their specific battery packs, you’ll need to use Tesla’s inventory system. Simply go to the Inventory section of Tesla’s site, and then enable (Panasonic batteries) or disable (LG batteries) the Tax Credit Eligible Vehicles toggle on Tesla’s site.
@stulevin5066 i thought the same regarding adding aftermarket subs to an EV. I just spoke with a buddy who owns a professional car audio installation shop-- they do it all the time with excellent results. On another note, I test drove the refreshed Model 3 base RWD with the base 9 speaker system, and it sounds really good, even better than some factory Harmon Kardon systems. But yes, a sub can be added with the right professional installer.
You can't lease the LR RWD variant yet. You can lease the other M3 and MY models and variants though. Tesla lease in general do include the tax incentive into the lease payments.
@@DennisCW okay , I played around with it and during the checkout process before you pay the $250 I go to the details but I don’t see anywhere where it shows it deducted
Charge 500 or 1000 for the sound system. Crazy to require buying 2 motors to have a nice sound system
Agreed
It's reasonable. Otherwise no one will buy Awd.
Love your corgi. Bring him more on the videos
Honestly, I’m good w the base interior even on the awd lr
Is there a huge difference ?

Yes
No carpet mats not included. 😮😮😮😮 come on.
I was thinking of gutted? No seats, steering wheel, air conditioning, windows. I feel at that point the car would be a shell😂
I ordered my LR RWD, a few days ago thank you for this info. I currently had my 2021 sr+ for almost 3 years I'll miss it but ready for my new one!
Thank you

I’m not surprised. They usually cut back on certain features.
Can you charge to 100% on LR RWD? Or only 80 percent.
80%
Who is the batterry supplier? LG or Panasonic?

Panasonic for this one in the US since this qualifies for the tax credit
Just took delivery of my LR AWD. LR RWD had not yet appeared. After seeing this ... I'm good. No buyer's remorse whatsoever.
Nice!
What about charging maxes? 170 or 250kW for DC and 32 or 48A for AC?
I see at 6:15 that it’s 250kW, so I infer 48A (11.5kW) AC max
Well, now that we know M3 LR AWD is 17 speakers and M3 LR RWD has 9 speakers; how many speakers are in the M3 SR RWD?
9
@@jeffrey3280 Thanks. So audio is equal when weighing which vehicle to buy.
Base 9 speaker sounds great for most people. If need be, can easily add a powered subwoofer.🎉
@@R56Cooper can you do that? Do you go to a Best Buy? I always thought the electronics of the Tesla would prevent adding an aftermarket subwoofer

Options for paint and seat colors but not audio? Fail.
Good point
Wait a minute, you are wearing a rivian shirt and talking about Tesla’s 😂 jk
Lolol
Does the tax credit get applied to leases ?

Can't win them all😂
