    Summary:
    • A problem is that our hearts aren’t strong enough in having the required level of concentration during dhikr, Quran reading and prayers.
    • So how do we develop concentration / strengthening our hearts?
    • Muraqaba is meditation with taqwa (God-consciousness) whereby we meditate on a particular aspect as if Allah (swt) is constantly watching us. For example;
    o Meditation on our death.
o Meditating on the bounties received by Allah (swt).
o Meditating on our disobedience and sins to Allah (swt).
    • A powerful muraqaba is to sit and look down in a place with no distractions, close your eyes, empty your mind of everything, imagine you have tapped into the constant Mercy of Allah (swt) and it’s pouring / descending into your heart.
(Akin to establishing a wifi connection before receiving the Mercy of Allah (swt) ).
    • Our hearts will then begin to call out to Allah (swt).
    • This is not dhikr / remembrance of the tongue; it’s the heart calling on Allah (swt).
o Dhikr of the heart is the most powerful form of remembrance.
    • The effects of muraqaba will be felt immediately, even for 5 minutes.
    • Ulamah have mentioned various forms of meditation for various diseases.
    • This muraqaba is very good to curb our desires.
    • Try and make this a daily routine / habit. Shaitan will hate it and will distract us during the muraqaba. However, through practice and repetition our duration of undistracted muraqaba will increase over time.

I have been experimenting with this meditation for years to increase concentration level and get rid of depression and anxiety.
      Need feedback from others.
Standing in front of the mirror or lying on the bed. The palm of the left hand to be placed upon the navel in such a way that the middle of the palm is directly touching the navel. Then the palm of the right hand upon to be placed upon the left hand just like salah. Now the following lines from deep inside the heart to be uttered silently. Closing eyes is optional.
***O Allah! I have surrendered to your absolute power, dominion and superiority, forever defeated, surrendered and deluded. Subdue and crush all my self-arrogance and self-pride to your superiority. Trample my head, nose and forehead under your glorious and omnipotent mighty footsteps. Seal the symbol of my absolute defeat, surrender and submission to you in my navel forever.... accept my standing with hand tied upon my navel in front of you as a signature under that seal.
As long as you like, keep me standing in front of you like a defeated prisoner and a humble servant. By this, be pleased with me and put out the fire of your anger.***
In this way, when the words are chanted in the mind while the hands are tied upon the navel, the latent surrendering emotions of the heart become unwreathed like dam-breaking tide and flood the mind with the feeling of unconditional surrender and sweet defeat to Allah.
The navel is called the second brain *. It is the center of the human * surrendering emotion * which governs both the biological feelings and the spiritual feelings of the people. When this submissive emotion is directed towards spirituality, it brings a feeling of defeat, submission, humiliation and before Allah.

of this principle. At times, there is within its usage that which is prohibited in Shari‘ah and which they did not know and at times words that are contrary to the texts have been given preference over the masalih mursalah. Many of them have been careless in maslahah, the consideration of which according to Shari ‘ah is compulsory on the basis that the Shari ‘ah has not related that and, as a result, the obligatory and preferred actions have been lost or the person slips into that which is prohibited and disliked. At times, the Shari ‘ah has mentioned that and the person did not know.

Meditation is not concentration. It is a misunderstanding. Concentration is focus of mind.
So, where mind is concentration meditation can’t be possible, the effort will be futile.
So sit and be here. That’s Muraqaba. And in Muraqaba you don’t have to do dikhr, in fact Muraqaba is better performing after dikhr.😊

    • @faekenobi
      @faekenobi Před 3 lety +2

Yoga means reunion with god, as in the god inside you, that pure awareness of presences. This is the original meaning and practice behind yoga. These days the west turned it into a sport. Think of yoga like the western version of Christmas, they don't believe christianity, but they do Christmas anyway and change it's meaning to something more family friendly event.
I used to self study yogi stuff from bhagavad gita and the teachings of sadhguru etc, and i think it's safe to say that as a Muslim that wants to connect to Allah's mercy, yoga isn't one of them.
Allah wants the heart of the belivers, and to be physically healthy and active. You could take up jogging while chanting your dhikr. So many things you could do, but don't adapt the practice of other religious rituals that are not in line with Islam.

Shaykh Ahmad Dabbāgh is the Current Spiritual Master of Tareeqah Muhammadiyah
Our Grand Teacher is Sayyidīna ʻAbd Al-ʻAzīz Al-Dabbāgh‎ قدس الله سره العزيز, the Great Shadhili Saint who is buried in Fes, Morocco 🇲🇦
The Purification Course of Tareeqah Muhammadiyah takes a person from a state of sin + satanic characteristics, to a state of goodness + prophetic characteristics
The Course of Purification (Tazkiyah) is in 4 Stages:
Stage 1: Purification of the Body (Tongue, Eyes, Ears, Hands, Feet, Stomach, Private Parts)
Stage 2: Purification of the Mind
Stage 3: Purification of the Heart
Stage 4: Purification of the Nafs / Enlightenment of the Rūh
Once a Seeker has purified his body, mind, heart + nafs; the spiritual training begins where he may converse with Rasūlullāh ﷺ, in dreams + in Muraqaba
Many of the students of the Shaykh regularly meet, converse and learn from Rasūlullāh ﷺ in their dreams + Muraqaba’s
Spiritual experiences + regular dreams of Rasūlullāh ﷺ are normal for those embarking on the Course of Purification
If you’re interested in learning more, visit zawiyah.org
We have a weekly Majlis of Naseeha + Dhikr every Friday in Bolton, UK. You can also participate online, over Zoom or CZcams

Meditation simply means being aware. Energy follows thought and we use this energy all the time.
In the case of Islam our meditation is focused on remembrance of Allah. In the practice of this video we are to focus our awareness on Allah's mercy. The being aware of your beating heart (a mercy of Allah), aware of sounds (a mercy of Allah) and so on. So much blessings around us that we are not aware of. ^-^

By disconnecting yourself from the outside world and connecting yourself to your inner world and focusing on your breath and remembrance of Allah S.W.T

Don't be mislead! While this is enticing, it is NOT in accordance with the Sunnah. Muslims don't close their eyes while doing dhikr. Yes, concentrate, but ALWAYS do your dhikr with your tongue. And this man is a SUFI purveyor, beware of him.

      Challenge me how it's wrong??
It's a universal phenomenon... And we add remembrance of Allah in it to purifyy the hearts which are impure due the modern era fitnahh...
Sahaba didn't need it since they directly get the light from huzoor alaihissalam..if u r not able to do it than dont it but dont misguide other in the name of paak sunnah from the unbelievable benefits one can get through it in removing haraam shehwat, kibr,, gheebat , ghussa and other heart diseases which are utmostly required to be removed if we want to really to live a sin free life... We don't call it sunnah who calls it sunnah?? But remembrance of Allah is definitely a sunnah in broader terms

Salafis are so dry. They just don't get it. They have been told by their teachers that everything but what they say is wrong, and they just follow it blindly. They don't even try to understand other viewpoints. Just pure blind muqallids.

Sadly your little knowledge will take you down, Sufism isn't distinct from ahlus sunnah, tariqah and teachings of tariqa are part of sharia. It's passed down from prophet Muhammad (saw) to a chosen few. Please READ books and understand how Islam was followed by the early Muslims and not by how a self claimed shaykh taught you who came from najd

@abc..6533 @72-bit Allah commanded us to "Follow Allah and follow the prophet"... And the prophet said "whoever does in this religion an act of worship we did not prescribe, that worship would be rejected (by Allah)".
This means that we must do ONLY the forms of worship as prescribed by Allah and his messenger. The prophet did not meditate like he described. The prophet only sat down to think about Allah and his creation, he didn't apply any of the methods this man describes.
He talks about this "muroqobah" like it's part of our religion, but it's not.
You may meditate as a non-religious activity if you want, but don't tie it to the religion!
