  • Happy Monday, Fit Family!
    Here is video with amazing and delicious doughnuts from a local Queens bakery called Kora. These doughnuts are only available to order on Mondays at 3pm through their website or Instagram.
    fromkora.com/
    I had the pleasure of trying the following five amazing doughnuts:
    1. Leche Flan Ni Lola - brioche stuffed with flan cream and Lola Corazon's beloved flan
    2. Ube - ube brioche, fresh ube custard, ube glaze, purple yam crisps
    3. Churron - cruller, saba banana & jackfruit filling, caramelized spring roll wrapper, banana chips, toasted sugar, dulce de leche
    4. Kalamansi Amapola - brioche, calamansi curd, poppy cream, calamansi glaze, torched meringue, graham crunch
    5. Keso - brioche, queso de bola cream, condenses milk glaze, frico crisp
    Each doughnut was worth the weeks trying to get these cookies.
    Please support local bakeries and desserts spots like Kora!
    Be kind,
    Daniella

    Churron donut is a combination of Churros (Spanish dip bread) and turon (banana spring roll) 😊

    This model seems workable - made to order hence u do not get stale doughnuts and no waste coz all the ingredients r prime & expensive.

    good review, I heard they are sold out ahead of time for months......that people can't even just walk in to purchase items. You said you won a chance to purchase them right?

      Yes! I tried for weeks. You need to be at your desk at 2:58pm on Mondays and type very fast exactly at 3pm.

      Because they are not selling donuts. They are selling an identity and with the power of social media, which the Filipinos command like Thor does with thunder. No doubt Ube will be the star of the bunch and everything else is just fillers dressed up with catchy Instagrammable names.

      @@eduardochavacano have you even tried their doughnuts yet or asked the business why are they selling limited doughnuts? or are you just spewing hate just for the fun of it? your crab mentality is showing. shame.

    • @passingthrough6433
      @passingthrough6433 Před 2 lety +10

      @@eduardochavacano Kora's popularity was not at all expected by the business owners: they even only thought of it as a small project..i doubt they would even have a long waitlist if their items suck even with filipino support on the internet.. And whats wrong with their names? Theyre literally just the average flavors/food in filipino culture(minus churron wc is practically just turon +churros) incorporated in a donut... Its like calling the filling of a chocolate filled donut chocolate. It is what it is. And you calling them fillers obviously do not know the hardship into putting up a food business.

    Glad you got the chance to try these and, I like how you told us about the taltes etc. They look amazing. A LOT of work goes into making these. I am just curious since I live in Europé and have no idea about the price of luxury doughnuts or and baked things in the USA. How much does a box like that cost?

    • @daniellablanco
      @daniellablanco  Před 2 lety +3

      Thank you for watching. This box was around $34 when I bought them which is more than other places. I enjoy supporting local businesses and the extra cost was worth it. I have bought it again to share with my family. Hope you have local bakeries in Europe that have amazing treats like this

      @@daniellablanco We do have caféer and a long tradition of ”Konditorier” a combined baker and coffeshop. The few ones that still exist ( they are in hard compitition with chains like starbuks, espresso house etc) are defenetly my choice if I treat my self.
      At a Swedish konditori I would rekomend you to by a ” bakelse”. At a real konditori (not they are amazing! We allso have atradition of small cokies and Some konditori can have 30-50 different ones and bakelser and… A few places in Sweden take bot the traditional bakelse and these cokies to the same level as Koras do with donaughts. I hope you get the chanse go enjoy Some real ”Swedish fika” some day. Thank you for answering me, so nice of you.
