I'm from St. Louis, MO and there was a place called Donut Delight that was so delicious. Now it has been sold and they are not the same anymore. But donut delight's old recipe was what I would still consider to this day the best I've had.

was surprised to not see glam doll for minnesota (my personal fave), not only are the donuts amazing with tons of variety (fruity pebbles, maple bacon, sriracha??) but the pink 50s pinup aesthetic of the place really makes it stand out!

As a boy it was glorious to get donuts on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. My favorite was the cream filled long john.
Krumpe’s donuts are literally the best donuts I’ve had my step dad is from there. And we have driven 4 hours just to get some and it was worth it. Krumpe’s have become my new favorite donut shop.

Hehehe, got to wonder what the reason is for that. There might be a practical reason with being a small donut shop and fees/problems that go with credit cards. I still want to think it is IRS nonsense or they are paranoids who keep illegal full auto weapons behind the counter and will lowkey accept small amounts of gold or 5.56 ammo. If any of y’all live in San Diego county in California, you should check out Peterson’s Donuts. It’s a little corner donut shop that’s open 24/7 in Escondido and it’s where I grew up going. I recently moved but it will forever have a special place in my heart😌

I love The Salty Donut here in South Florida, but I thought to myself “hey, maybe Florida has some other gourmet donut shop that will be featured,” but nope- Salty is it! And true that the Tres Leches is FAVE, it is literally the kind of donut you can eat every time and never get bored of it. So yummy!

I cannot believe I lived in Florida my whole life and never heard of The Salty Donut. I just moved a few years ago . BUT there's a new location opening like. 4 or 5 hours away (instead of 13 hrs away like the florida locations 😬)
Washingtonian here. If you're ever in Bellingham or even just passing through Whatcom county, I urge you to make a stop into Lafeens! Their apple fritters are heaven on Earth! Crispy on the outside, chewy and fluffy in the middle. It's a wonderful place to stop in for a couple of donuts and cup of coffee in the morning. And with it being located in the woods, it's nice and quiet.

I tried the blue star in Oregon is not good at all and very expensive. I sampled one of each and wasn't impressed at all. Bob's donuts in San Francisco is to date the best donut I've ever had by a long shot.

As someone that travels to Portland frequently, no disrespect to Voodoo, they’re fun and all that, but Blue Star is a WAY more superior donut. They had this buttermilk Pina Colada with a pipette of dark Hawaiian rum and toasted pistachios on top 🤤 I seriously dream about that donut

As a New Yorker who frequently goes to Chinatown, I know about Alimama and mochi donuts. Many New Yorkers don't even know about Alimama and/ or mochi donuts because it's still relatively new or set foot in Chinatown. Many New Yorkers probably know and go to Donut Pub two locations in Manhattan, many locations of Donut Plant, food network award Dunwell Donuts in Bushwick, or the simple morning donut and coffee from a street cart

Round Rock is definitely one of the best I've ever had. I was raised on Ward's Pastry in Ocean City, NJ, but they've closed down recently.

Close, but the much better custom made right in front of you donut a few miles down the road in , at Duck Donuts, way outshine over-rated Round Rock donuts. They also have two stores in San Antonio.
I’ve been to both RR and Duck Donuts and there is no comparison. Worth a long drive just for the fact that there hot and fresh and iced to perfection. My favorite has maple, bacon and salted caramel.
As a Pennsylvanian, I’m surprised Federal’s Donuts wasn’t named. They’re local, fresh everyday, unique flavors, and extremely good. However, I’ll try the other place.

Glazed Over in Beacon makes the best doughnuts in NY. They have a huge variety of mix and match where you get to choose any combination of any glaze, topping, and drizzle. All made just to your order, you can go in there 30 times and always leave with something different every single time. Going in the summer is also amazing, when they'll give you a custom made doughnut ice cream sandwich or doughnut sundae. Then you can go back and watch them make your doughnut perfectly fresh.
The custom made approach sounds fun!
In Indonesia here, our special donut is basically made from potato but coated with very delicious sugar. The sugar we use is like a flour but it's much more sweet than regular sugar.

Duck donuts being the popular vote for Delaware threw me for a loop! The owners of the company live and are from Pennsylvania, and the first locations were in the Outer Banks of North Carolina (first being in Duck, which is how it got its name). 😂 As someone who grew up in the 252 with these donuts, it’s amusing. Great video!

My favorite donuts in Arizona is at the Quiktrip. Their donut hole clusters are the best. I live in Washington state and this is a must stop if you are in Arizona and there is a quick trip around
Long's Donuts is soooo good! worth the wait since there's always a line. just make sure you have cash! Jack's Donuts is good too.
Jack's is one of my top favorites (mainly, their peanut butter donuts) a long with Pana Donuts, Rise N Roll, and Rebellion Doughnuts.

Totally with you. But I also do get annoyed to only hear about Portland. Mac daddy donuts in McMinnville makes fresh donuts right there they are warm and I literally feel like every doughnut I eat since having them are just OK at this point… If you’ve never had a warm doughnut before please check out Mac Daddys!

I can attest to the delicious nature of Top Pot donuts. their Double Trouble donut was my go to flavor. chocolate cake donut with a chocolate frosting
im lmao i think i went there only once, when i was a teen, with my then boyfriend (now husband). we could only afford donut holes and the dude at the counter was high out of his mind, literally told my husband he looked like some kind of freak with eyes on the side of his head and said that he wouldnt serve him. someone else heard what he said and came and took our order and tossed some extras in as an apology, but it still fucks with my husband from time to time, to this day, nearly 10 years later.
btw my husband is totally normal and proportional, his eyes arent even close to being far apart, the guy was very visibly high out of his mind, couldnt hold still, ect. mostly just commented because it's a place we wont go back to after what we went through.

As a SW Michigander, I must give our very own Sweetwater's Donut Mill some love. Featured in Midwest Living, Saveur, and named one of the best donut shops in America by Thrillist in 2015, I feel Sweetwater's should have been a better pick for our state's best doughnut. Our area HAD a Krispy Kreme, and a few more Dunkin Doughnuts, but they just couldn't compete with Sweetwater.

As a Texan I kinda disagree I believe Shipleys Donuts was gonna be it cause they’re always so warm and just melt in your mouth and they also have Kolache‘s that’s are soo good so I was kinda disappointed that it wasn’t on there but maybe I’ll try the one she said.

The real one for Utah is the Lehi bakery. They have a very old doughnut machine that companies tried to buy for millions. Their doughnuts are soooo good.
