    It's wonderful that you figured this all out early in life instead of being like us and figuring it out in our early 50's :) More people need to come to terms that the "traditional" 8-5 life isn't for everyone and what we have been conditioned to think is the right path isn't for everyone. Keep following your heart!

      It is impressive that even in your 50s you did it!! Thank you so much 🙏

    I really appreciate you talking about this. I got my degree in engineering a few years ago, but since then, I've barely worked in engineering jobs. I encountered some of the same issues you talked about here, and hearing you put words to this dilemma helps me better understand myself. Thank you for your candor and honesty, and for trusting that your story will reach those who need to hear it.

    I am so happy to hear your perspective on this! As a one year post grad female engineer, it is refreshing to see the perspective of someone who doesn’t feel like they fit into this male dominated industry either. I love how you said you make engineering your own. I feel I have a unique perspective among my peers but often am discounted because it’s not the way they’ve always done things. I don’t why engineers are hellbent on making engineering a “tough” and miserable cultural. I always feel I need to prove myself. It’s amazing to hear I am not alone in not fitting in! Thank you for sharing!

      100% you are not alone!! the culture made me feel so out of place, it's so "gray", lifeless, when engineering should be so exciting and creative. I hope you find an outlet that allows you to express that creativity in a fulfilling way!

    Will you be making a video series or class on building these homes? I really love your house!

Suerte.
    Yo también estoy en el proceso de transición y es hora de disfrutar de todo el sacrificio que e hecho en mi trabajo, soy panameño y e trabajado como truck driver en Georgia Estados Unido y me la e pasado viajando que es hora de regresar a mi tierra y disfrutar Jajajaja

    I would love to hear your thoughts and experience on learning outside institutional learning. Looking beyond those limits, must be how you found things like natural building, Ayurveda,etc..
    Do you have advice for anyone looking to natural build but no experience and little means to go back to school and lack trust in institutionalized teaching in US.. ❤ your content!

    • @turiyapanama
      @turiyapanama  Před rokem +2

      What an amazing question!! I found so much value outside of institutions (but I was a black sheep going against my friends who pursued modern medicine and construction!) To each our own :) I will say that you can learn SO much online. Natural building is very much a combination of art and science. You can treat it like either one, whatever feels natural to you, and approach it with that frame of mind. Looking throughout youtube for inspiration or even on-site courses! I'll have online courses in the next year. Hope this was helpful, no need to go back to school (you won't learn much what you rly need to for natural building there!)

    Do you have architects you could recommend to get blueprints created? Do you review or provide blueprints? I have created a floorplan using Xactimate, but I need to make sure that it is structural and to provide a set of plans to get the foundation done.

    This is a super ignorant question but where do you get your spices from? Is there a grocery store somewhere?

    • @turiyapanama
      @turiyapanama  Před měsícem

      I get most from the local store! Special ones I'll get in Panama City or I'll order them from Mountain Rose Herbs! I have a link in the vid description 😊
