    I have always wanted to do this!!! I know it's "Sacrilegious" but I don't care!!! The 71'-72' taillights looked better to me but I always loved the 70' dual headlight set up. To me this is the perfect look. Great job!!!

      Thanks I agree, The dual circle taillights of the 71/72 go way better with the dual headlights of the 70 Chevelle. And bonus I came across a 72 Chevelle that was missing the front clip. Now I've got a spare 71 front clip I can pick that 72 Chevelle up too and Build it. Everything always works out for the best.

      @viking3487 I'm assuming to swap out the taillights out from a 70 chevelle to 70 would be easy enough. In my case I purchased a 71 chevelle. So swapping out the front clip was done. Definitely less components to change over if you own a 70 chevelle and decide to go with 71 Taillights.

      @fullyloadedkustoms  Před 18 dny +1

      I haven't had a chance to work on the Chevelle yet, what I was planning on doing was getting the wiring harness for a 1970 with the additional head lights etc, and seeing if that plugs into 71 harness without issues and works if that doesn't work I was planning on splicing the connection to wire in the additional head lights etc and things needed for the car.

    • @markt9438
      @markt9438 Před 18 dny

      I think the 70 wire harness plug for the lights on the firewall is a different plug size, and it would be optimal to be able to just run the wires and series for the extra lights that's my thought but I can't find anyone that provides this understanding!@@fullyloadedkustoms

    Way to ruin a nice 71 chevelle, you can put a 70 clip on it and it still isn't a 70 and cars with mixed parts are of much less value. It's yours, so swap whatever you want, I personally wouldn't buy one. Your chevelle is now not worth anything close to the money you could get for a correct car which are bringing stupid money these days. Why not just buy a 70???

    • @fullyloadedkustoms

      The 71 front clip I'll be painting the same color as the rest of the car and then storing it that way the option is available to put it back to a 71. But personally once I do the work to the car I'm not looking to sell it for a profit or flip it as the orginal numbers matching parts are no longer with the car. I also purchased this car for $500 and the front clip for $300, I'm now seeing other 70 chevelles priced out at $5000 - $7500+ for the same condition that's the reasons for not purchasing a 70 chevelle.
