The car looks great, but it's a mixture of 1970 and 1971 Chevelles. The combination of a 1970 front end with a 1971 rear bumper (1970's taillights are rectangular) turned up good, though.
I'd just try to stick to one year only and, of course, go for an original steering wheel (or a nice reproduction) and a set of Chevelle mags.
Despite the wrong front end for a 1971 (or wrong rear end for a 1970), the car looks great and nicely restored.

I wonder how many months would take a man alone to do this work of art, just the craftmanship to know where everything goes and put it togheter is insane to me...
For those panels with the outer edges eaten by rust, did you like cut away the rusty part and took sheets of steel, bend them to follow the original shape and then weld them to the good parts? Or are they just scrapped and completely remade with laminated steel?
And does the frame lose strenght when patched?

Looks like a '70 to me.

The 1971 had 2 headlights not 4 as on this car

@@chicamolly I think they swapped out the front end for a 70'. Because the rear end is a 71'. Not sure I agree with that move. Some purist's might have a problem with that.

He put a 70 nose on it. Its not an uncommon move, we're doing a 72 right now, that's going to have the 1970 front end on it. It's the way GM should've done it to begin with.

Front end=1970, rear end 1971. Confused. Too many cheap blingy add-ons
