If you're serious, well, getting it to work properly with the rest of the car happy about it is going to be nearly impossible, you'll have to deal with a million warning lights, I'm pretty sure. Things like ESP, cruise control, etc, will likely stop working because of all the fault codes it'll be throwing all the time. If you want big power out of a W212, you'll either have to build the V6 diesel or you'll have to get an AMG. The OM606 is a better fit for older cars with less complicated electronics setups that won't shit the bed when not getting signals from the factory ECU.
@@sookoll23 Thing is, the OM 606 can be run without an ECU if I remember correctly. So basically, you could keep the stock one and run the engine separately.
@@fatfalcon3434 A V50 is a good car, but I honestly wouldn't want to om606 swap one. If you wanna go fast, those already came with the T5 engines which could be tuned easily. I really wouldn't do an engine swap like this on a car as new as your V50. You'd make it more fun to drive maybe, but you'll lose things like cruise control, reliability (that extra torque will break things) and refinement (the OM606 is noisy of course) and resale value. Of course, the V50's engine bay has never had to fit an inline 6 either - would one fit? Either way, it'd be a lot of work and I doubt anyone will do it for you for anything less than 5 digits eur/gbp/usd. Much better to keep your V50 as the reliable daily and put an OM606 in something older with a good body, robust drivetrain but a broken or just powerless engine. Get something with a big engine bay to make your life easier. Mercedes used to have pretty spacious engine bays, older BMWs aren't bad either. Oh and RWD cars would be a lot easier to install a tougher transmission into.
How many miles do you think you will get out of a 500hp om606? I'm thinking of a patrol build, instead of going duramax or 6bt. Looking to get 300k kilometres out of 500hp.

500hp for an OM606 is nothing. in my opinion it would last you more than 300k km if you maintain it
