I would title this "One Pocket Break-out Shots". I came in needing help with my 1p break. I just cannot find a comfortable one that is consistently good. Most important shot and I fail more often than succeed to get a good break.
riff, thanks for asking. Escaping the break can be a very complicated process and many times takes several innings to accomplish. Do you have a copy of my book? You may want to consider making a trip my way for a formal lesson. For more information on that possibility you can contact me at trwirth369@mail.com.
Extremely helpful video as usual, Tom. Quick question, is there a system to use to identify a kiss-shot when attempting to cross-bank? Some are obvious to me, but I don't always see every one of them
Hi Derrick, Thank you for you kind response and question. Though there are a number of double kiss situations each requiring it's own system for recognition here is one quick answer to a very common situation. A double kiss will likely occur if the cue ball and object ball happen to be lined directly with a pocket and INSIDE english is employed.. One other double kiss situation frequently occurs when the cue ball and object ball are lined towards the pocket point closest to the rail from which you wish to bank the ball. Unfortunately, this answer requires greater detail and fine tuning, but this may help get you started.
@@onepocketagameofcontrolled3646 thanks for the answer and advice, Tom! I screenshot your answer so I don't forget. I do notice a lot when I'm watching one pocket matches that pros will use extreme OUTSIDE english to avoid double kisses.

Nice!!
Great lesson Tom, as usual. You're a wealth of inspiration and knowledge. Ty again.
Thank you
How are you doing?
I'm good Lonnie, I hope you are too.
these aren't break shots. I thought you meant opening break shots
Excellent video as usual. BTW, for anyone who gambles at One Pocket, the book will likely pay for itself in short order.
Great stuff as always. Just curious, what size are the pockets on your Gold Crown?
4 1/2"
thats all good stuff . i am struggling on the opening break to clear my opponets side and move balls to my side , do you have any videos for that ?
