- This series of 24 One Pocket situations are devoted to typical safeties with one ball remaining on the table. Most of my videos demonstrate the offensive side to the game but there are times when a defensive approach is best.

U R the MAN ! ! THANK U VERY MUCH ! ! LOVE ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS ! !
Secrets, man!.. Youre giving away the store!.. lol.. Sit 4 is one of my go tos.. Most of my opponents are dumbfounded by that one..
Great shot..
Thanks for posting very helpful.
Thanks, Tom! Can you take it to the next level and give the responses to the result of each of the shots you just demonstrated?
I'll see what I can do. Most of the time if the shot I'm demonstrating is played correctly those responses should be simple safeties. I can probably offer some basic fundamental ideas of what those safeties should look like.
situation # 2 was not played correctly....
And how would you have played this position, Scott?
Same as position 3 with a softer spin shot. Way too close to the scratch on position 2.
Scott, it helps to know the table you're playing on. These pockets are pretty tight. I was well aware of what to expect from that hit. Close doesn't count for very much. Almost winning is in the end, still losing.
And almost scratching is closer to scratching than not scratching at all. More than one way to skin a cat. Would rather bank it up table in my sector than having my cue ball rattle the pocket.
I totally disagree with your critique of the execution of situation 3. The shot was executed to the degree that my opponent can do nothing to place me in any jeopardy.
