    Keith and Jim here are from the moon. They met Neil Armstrong in 1969 on the moon. He told them this fairytail about wolves eating grandmas. They thought out this message to earthlings; give wolves banana so they will not be hungry for grandmas.

    • @Tvjunkieful12
      @Tvjunkieful12 Před 2 lety +1

      I thought Keith and Jim was the names they called the wolf? That was what they said in the lyrics, wasn't it? And coming from the moon and being millions of years old, how would they even know what a grandma or banana on Earth was? Unless Neil Armstrong stayed a lot longer than the less than half an hour on the moon's surface the television pictures showed, and thought them all they needed to know?

    I love that you've responded so well to Subwoolfer. When I first heard all the MGP songs, this was the only one I could remember, and that alone told me they were going to win (and potentially do quite well in ESC). The song is fun/silly, but it's not a joke entry to me because it's such a well produced and clever song.
    PS. I'm pretty sure it came from one of the MGP songwriting camps, potentially a task to write a song based on a fairytale, or using certain words!

    • @Tvjunkieful12
      @Tvjunkieful12 Před 2 lety +2

      Why do you think the song was dictated so specifically? I agree they were approached, and invited to participate in this year's MGP. But if the rumors, and my ears listening to the song, are to be believed, singers and songwriters of their caliber (Gaute Ormåsen and Ben Adams) don't need to be coursed in how to put together a MGP song. They both have done so before. So why do you think they took part in some MGP songwriting camp? I more suspect the lyrics came along while composing the song, and normally would have been replaced with more ordinary lyrics later - but this time they decided to take a chance instead, and went all in with the unusual lyrics and revamp of the Little Red Ridinghood fairytale.

      Lyrics as out of the ordinary as these can be interpreted almost as anything you like. Some people seem to think the wolf is COVID, the banana COVID vaccine, and the song's message to be to get vaccinated, to protect the vulnerable and the elderly (the grannies). You seem to have different idea of what banana and wolf represent, but where does the grannies fit into your gay subtext?

      @@Tvjunkieful12 They know the Eurovision audience. And a little gay subtext never hurt. If someone reads the lyrics different, then even better!

      @@simensand Well, okay, but I still don't understand where the grannies fit into your gay subtext? Or even the wolf. So I'll go with my personal theory: most of these lyrics were silly lyrics they sang while writing the song, and then they came up with the Little Red Ridinghood idea, and decided to expand along the same wolf and banana route when finishing the song.
