Out of all the Slovak entries, this deserved to qualify the most. The melody of the chorus might be a bit flat, but the vocals are excellent, the performance is charming, the instrumental track is professionally produced, and the lyrics are great.
No... that's a bad idea. Even if they're friends... This should not happen. Slovakia have talents, they're just shy to perform on Eurovision. TWiiNS... they're talented, but their chase for the "american dream" that started in late 00's totally ruined them.
Eurovision Obsessed I disagree. The voting doesn't depend on the origin. Other songs were simply favored by the majority because they liked them better. I really like the song, but I called for my favorites back then.

Kind of the same as with Romania in 2023, and they ended up last. If the Slovak broadcaster invested money in the songs, promotion, and performances (in all years 2009-2012), some of the songs might have qualified. Same happened in 2012 when they chose the artist based on the criteria of paying it from his own pocket. This should not be happening. Hopefully one day we can return with a decent budget and representation.

And I do remember Kristína talking about her time in Oslo when she said that she was feeling abandoned by media as almost no one was interested in her.

For the 2011 contest, RTVS (slovak broadcaster) actually wanted to quit participating, but TWiiNS agreed with them that they would cover it themselves (I assume their label covered part of it) so the RTVS agreed. Same as later in 2012. Miro actually even sold his car so he could participate at ESC. I see in slovak media now that the interest is higher, Eurovision is mentioned in every big TV news, radio, magazines,... They also send their journalists to Eurovision cities. Unfortunately in those years it was still new for the media which is sad. TWiiNS and Kristina had big potential to get into the final but such a thing cannot lay on the shoulders of a few people. Also in 2011 Slovak delegation got a lucky chance to choose their running order in the semifinal but the head of the delegation was so inexperienced that she chose number 5. She was even asked a few times if she's sure because it seemed very odd and further lowered the change of qualifying for the final. That showed that the broadcaster sent random inexperienced team to ESC. They need to participate many times and actually take it seriously to gain the experience.
I'm not a fan of the song, for me the best was horehronie, but the fact that they could have qualified thanks to the juries is sad... They would have liked to have at least had a qualification which would have allowed Slovakia not to lose hope!🇸🇰Back to Eurovision!
Yeah, they got those singles... but did they got popularity from it? NOPE. And do you know that TWiiNS actually stole Sean Paul samples for their song? I don't think that Sean knew that, because they just used vocals from his other song, but I don't remember the exact song. Their single with FloRida was a strange thing... I heard so many demo versions of that song... at least three different versions were available before the actual song was released. All of them were not good. Carlpit... is he really a big name? They also should've had a single with Snoop Dogg, they even shot the music video for the song... but because of the dispute with Snoop Dogg's management the song was never released officially. The same goes with the music video. They only performed it twice on TV... But I don't think that it was a great idea to use the song that never got an official release...
