V3 batteries will make it the perfect V. Like the splash pickups a lot,
(nearly) no drag. Now you can shorten the rudder a bit........?
I mostly use dual and triple prop wash pick ups.

Unfortunately there's no Swift moving water near me, I'd build a ramp to float at the park for a nice Bash session
I waited a long time to see it run, but there it was .. Formeliar things btw, bend tabs, screws lost, some little leakage but ...., puts a smile on your face every time running it.
No big isseus there, some loctite and grease and a pair of pliers and you're ok...
Can't wait to see how it will do on speedrun spot. There is definitely room for improvements in speed compared to this test but that's why you test....

It’s pretty sad the 200a esc shuts down like that, I have a few of them & don’t even bother using them because of that
It's because its a Spektrum 160a rebranded which was originally a water cooled Hobbywing Max 6 with the Spektrum telemetry and some fancy orange anodizing, lol. A great ESC just not what Billy advertises it to be.
You mentioned that you had water inside after the run. Where did you find it leaking? My new Dominator is doin the same thing. Got a 1650kv w 8s. Loving it! Fixing to extend the front middle batt tray.
If i remember correctly, it was the thru hull for the stuffing tube, I pulled the stuffing tube and epoxy it back in to the hull

Hey, I have a sonicwake running a tp 40mm motor with an rc boat Bitz 175amp esc. What prop should I run on it. Looking for something that will give it speed, but also still able to bash it with a decent run time. Thanks for the awesome content.

Wkd fast 👌🏻 I’ve just bought a used dy carbon hull (same as dominator) I’m running a Seaking 180 and boat came a 2000kv rocket motor, keeps cutting, I have a new tp 4050 1700kv I’m going to put in with the 180, what prop would you recommend for it? Currently does about 50 ish on the 4519 it came with and I want more speed than that and hopefully no cutting out, thanks for the great content 👏🏻
Octura 4216 might be a good one so you don't get power cuts
I ran about same setup (sss4082/2000kv/t180). Im running proboat 4316 stainless, doing 61mph on small pond. Good runtime, low temps, enough speed.
Did remove standard caps and soldered big external pack on it...
Boat tends to run wet, so also check setup

@@peteroosterhoff8850 no esc is totally stock, used dominator came with it like that, I also bought a 180 for my Sonicwake and used it with stock dynamite 1900kv motor and it cuts in that too, that’s why I bought a tp 1700kv and prop up instead, considering going for a bigger esc if the problem persists
@@adamcharnley254 hope it helps but keep in mind that tp motors like lots off amps, B did refer to that do for that matter... Dont know the specs off all these motors, but i think the t180 should be fine but probably not with a big prop. I tried a 1650,1750,2000 and 2310kv in it. 2000 gave me decent runtime, temps, speeds. 1650 was best runtime of course but slower, 2310 fastest, but short runtimes and temp cuts... You kind off have to try what size prop, kv, and so on works best. Some run like a 1600kv and big prop, other higher kv with smaller prop. Just saying that your old setup should be able to do 60+...

Could those double trim tabs be helpful to get my deltaforce 33” more stable.?
My deltaforce is nothing like the stability of that thing.I just widened the flat spot in the middle and improved it,
It’s still titter tatters but at least it don’t crash anymore but it’s only a hair off it.
It’s fast for a cheap set up though.
Its getting 61mph with a cheap 6s hrb 5000 mah 100c lipo and a flycolor 150 and a 6s capable outrunner it’s 1750 kv m447 octura
I put a flood chamber in it so I could self right with the lipo and esc in the middle. And it still chine walks, I’m sure it would be even faster if I could stop it.
The double trim tabs could possibly help, but I think the dominator handles so good due to the centered weight distribution long ways in the hull I can pick my boat up from the very tip and the stinger and it doesn't tip to one side or the other. (Left or right)
@@IRONCLADRC I have that centred balance on my deltaforce as I said.
My flood chamber divider only adds about the same weight to the left as the steering servo and receiver on the right.
As a test I might tape up the the transom hole and see how level it floats.
I’ll definitely try the trim tabs.

Hello Big B, i got my Mhz Racemaster for a maiden run on 8s today, but no water was coming out from the outlet, i run a single pickup on a rudder, any tips or thoughts on what should i do ?
I'd do a bench test, hook water up to your rudder cooling in line, squeeze water through the cooling system, check for kinks etc. Also check the rudder water pick up and vertical hole for debris I've has chunks of aluminum from the cnc process stuck in my rudder blade blocking water flow.
@@IRONCLADRC No kinks, no leaks, every water line etc is clean as it can be. However i am using a slighly bigger diameter silicone tubing, tightened down with zip ties. Thank you very much for your reply .
Definitely check the rudder vertical hole for debris, also make sure the water jacket water in hole is at the back of the motor and the water out hole is forward top center of motor
You did check it flows right? When your distance (cooling lines) are long you also can get trouble. On single motor i would rather put an extra cooling line/pickup on it. So both are separately cooled. Good choice btw, MHZ is a nice size (and quality)...
Hi Can uses a 6s 5400 battery in a stock black jack 24" cat with OSE upgraded drive line and prop.
The stock blackjack 24 electronics/esc is only 3s capable.
@@IRONCLADRC I was thinking about using the raider or the fly color esc 150amp plus will my 1 6s 5400 battery fit
Biggest single battery I've been able to fit in the 24 is a 6000mah 100c 4s zee, if your gonna run 6s I recommend using 2x 3s lipos ranging from 4000-6000mah one on each side of the motor with your esc forward of the motor
@IRONCLAD RC I seen one of your vids before with 2 3s batteries staped together on one side they where 5000mah batteries. Boat ran very good in that motors testing video. My one 6s 5400mah are about the same size as your 2 batteries straped together in that vid

I'd go 4s max, the motor kv is a little high for 6s.. if you try 4s make sure the Temps are low, if the Temps are high prop down on 4s.
