zaid tareen no chance for the gt at the strip, but im still curious about the track though, put them in the same sport cup 2 tyres and we should have pretty close battle.
Ford GT still looks better though and has a faster top speed.

agreed.. its beyond daylight robbery at this point.. probably was a running gag at ford to see how much they could get a person to pay for a stripe of paint.. it costs more than the actual paint job!!

When I saw what colour and wheels you choose I thought "what an idiot, more money then sense" then I saw the rendering pop up and wow. This is why I don't spec cars as your one is going to look epic. For some reason I had the bumblebee camero in my head when I saw what you chose but it looks nothing like that and honestly from that pic I dont think you could get a better colour combo. Well done

I love the Ford GT. Its performance is great (especially for a 647hp v6 machine). It also looks great, in my opinion. But, I still don't think it's worth it, based upon its high price tag and hassle you get going through the application process.
Anyways, congrats, Brooks! If you're pleased with your purchase, then I'm happy for you.

Tyran Mathurin This is the process with ANY limited production car. You dont just walk into lets say a Ferrari dealer and say I want a LaFerrari. Dosent work that way. Also the price of the GT will go up in time so its an investment. Just like the 2005 Brook has. Its worth 3-4 times more than when it was new.

No, no, no! Buyers of the Carrera GT, Alfa Romeo 8C, and Lexus Lexus LFA, etc., did not have to go through all that hassle. There were some requirements, of course. But, not nearly as much red tape! It is usually Ferrari and Ford that demand so much from their customers, when it comes to purchasing exclusive models.

Good shit, I'm a huge Ford fan I own Ford's. It's really a shame & too bad about the exterior color not being available. I think it's pointless to send you a kit with all the options and then Ford says nope the color you want (heritage edition) to match your original GT is unavailable! Should be able to pick what you want, these cars are already rare enough they shouldn't limit options from brand ambassadors. But at least you were selected & it should look pretty amazing anyways, can't wait to see it!

My problem is car manufacturers dictating what you do with the car after you buy it.
Exactly. Wasn't the whole point of their complex application process to eliminate people flipping the car? So when John Cena decides to sell his straight away, it should be on them for picking the wrong person for the allocation (maybe they'll realise they should pick car enthusiasts over celebrities). They shouldn't have any say whatsoever in what people decide to do with their money/assets.
They are trying to make it prestiges to own one the value will sky rocket on these and they wanted to give more loyal gt owners first picks on the new cars instead of people buying up all the specs to flip for cash
but it's also deals with public interest to the customers who aren't the owners of Hennessy, Shelby, Co-founder of Ford, Owner/Founder of Meguiar's.
any other non public figures their either going to be car-flippers who aren't interested in owning it.. it keeps them from applying and gets it to people who will keep it and cherish it.

Did you not see the one that just sold for 2.5 MILLION!? Ford is offering this car at a very "affordable" price and not wanting to give it to a bunch of people that are just trying to make a quick profit on the car. They are using their head doing this regardless of what anyone believes or thinks....
