Wow, I almost cried when I saw Secret Hearts Barbie because I had gotten her as a Christmas present when I was a child. I remember loving her dress, I was into iridescent at the time... Thanks for posting, it was an awesome blast to the past!
Yes! These are the Barbies that I remember! My favorite was Island Fun Barbie, and I had the Skipper from that line as well. This video takes me back!

Amazing Haul! The Earring Magic Ken is sometimes known as the gay Ken because of his mesh shirt, frosted tips, and jewelry. I've recently found some of these Barbies as well. They're starting to come out of people's attics.

I have California Dream Ken since childhood and his legs have also turned spotty. I still have Happy Meal Todd. I used to have that Babysitter Skipper. I still have the baby and her outfit I think. I also had Teen Fun but it was the one with the blue stripes. The Pet Pals doll is even cuter though.
Super fun video. I had several of the Barbies and skippers. I still have most of them but they have been played with. I still have my pog and slammer collection. I remember searching and trading pogs.
I had all of those dolls! Hollywood Hair was my absolute FAVORITE! This video brought back so many memories! Great collection. I laughed when you said you wanted to rescue that spotted leg Midge, I do that with dolls that have defects too-I feel bad for them and have to give them a home. Btw, I can't believe dolls I used to play with are now considered "vintage". Omg I'm getting old! Lol
And I'm about 99.9% sure they don't make Kevin or Todd anymore.

My 1959 Barbie I bought for three dollars and it’s an original She sits on my vanity every single day in her box, because she did not have one of the big boxes sadly, the plastic on her swimsuit has deteriorated but I guess that just happens over time and she makes me happy

How many beauties u got! 💖 So lucky! We share one barbie, the redhead Paint n' Dazzle. Btw I love all the skippers u got and this ones are the ones I'm used too despite I grew up in the 80's. And then I love Earring Magic and California Dream Midge, I have both in my wishlist but for Earring Magic Midge I'm looking for the european version with the blue dress since I love much better that color on her then yellow. And yes ur right, early 90's barbies have 80's looks, as well early 80's ones still have a bit of 70's influence. But cm'on open all of them!!!

wow I am jealous!!!!! And btw I also just hauled the whole line of California Dream. And ONLY Midge has that same leper legs. The rest are fine....I am hunting for another MIdge from that line without leper legs :) And I think they used that Teresa head mold for Whitney (Barbie's cousin) for years later. And I like the comments you mean at the end. Because when I was a kid, I saw all these Barbie in the store (or in the little ads paper inncluded inside the box) but I had no money to buy them! And now I am grown up, I splurge in them mahwahahahaa

I also have a Skipper that's from the late 80's that has extreme spots like the Midge you bought. I love the face molds of the 90's Skippers, they have the cutest face. OMG! I'm doing the same! I'm looking to get back my childhoold 80's and 90's Barbie collection that was lost in a storage unit during an eviction/move out back in 2002! The last 90's dolls i got were Olympic Skater Barbie, Perfect Pink Teresa from late 90's, there might eb one more but can't remember off the top of my head lol I'm also looking and hoping to expand my collection with dolls I've always wanted but never had.
At first when I started collecting I bought everything but as became more Barbie educated and read books and stuff I bought more smartly and only buy of the new dolls what I like.
I used to have some Barbies from the early 90's but I sold them all at a yard sale way back when.

I have the same Teen Fun Skipper and her legs have those green spots, too.
My Homecoming Queen Skipper has spots, too. But her spots are pink, not green.

The California Dream Midge is the first doll I remember receiving as a present :-)
probably the doll's legs was sun damaged or because the doll was probably old

You could probably find replacement Barbie legs somewhere online and remove Midge's spotted ones!
I would just collect theTeen skippers and probably, the Jazzie Barbies but I had the Barbie in the set with that Midge with the spotted legs.

Glinda only was £3 plus the £2.80 P&P, on preloved.co.uk. The seller said there was something wrong with Glinda's head so she added the 1998 Holiday Barbie for free.

No Todd is not Stacie's twin hexwas very much in states a friend if Stacie's. This assumption comes from Tuti and her twin Todd. I have seen old Tuti and Todd dolls Stacie and her friend Todd are different. I personally for santy pretend that Tuti and Todd passed on. Stacie is not reincarnation of Tuti at all.

i have Secret Hearts Ken and i think he is THEE most handsome Ken doll of the 90s. i can't stand the newer Kens. Their young-looking faces turn my stomach. The same goes for Barbie, but not so much.
Great video and haul! I grew up with the 80s and 90s Barbies too so this was really interesting to watch. I was actually going through a few of my old Barbies and Skippers today with my daughter so it's lovely that she can see how they used to be. Thank you for sharing 😊
actually seeing that california dreams midge gave me the idea of how great it would be to see a doll with vitiligo. like barbie has come a long ways with this new ' sort of ' plus sized and different height dolls i think it would be really great for little kids with vitiligo or albinoism to see representation of themselves, especially in a fashion play line.

Great collection! I've been a Barbie fan ever since I got my brunette American Girl in 1966 - and I still have her! The 80s and 90s dolls are interesting, if not over-the-top. Today I collect some of the Fashionistas because of their all-around diversity. I also have a couple of reproduction dolls that I either missed or played with too much back in the day.I go to Walmart now and still get a kick out of the Barbie line. Sadly they're not as interesting and well-made as the ones from my youth. 😪Two things ruled my childhood heart - Motown and Barbie! And still rule my adult heart! ❤ Enjoy your collection - and keep it away from little kids.
