I got wedding day Midge and Alan and the bridal party for Christmas in 1989/1990 whichever year it came out. Spent lots of time playing with those. Loved this video 😍

Oh you would really hate me lol Do you know how many late 80s and early 90s Barbies and play sets I have deboxed from EBay? Wayyyy too many lol I have to touch everything plus I am in a one bedroom apartment so those suckers had to be deboxed and the boxes went in the trash to save space :-P

I just won the Sharin Sisters set on eBay last night! I’ve wanted them for years. I got the tie dyed version but I think I’ll try to find the lacy flower version just for the clothes and accessories.

I've had the jacket Todd was wearing(the black jacket with the blue cuffs) and always thought it was a jacket for barbie. I got the jacket on the flea market so i couldn't know the context behind that. Interesting to find out.

Midge was definitely one of my favorites. If I remember correctly, wasn't the little boy in the Happy Family dolls name Todd? That's kinda scandalous if that's him because that's suppose to be Ryan and Midge son right? lol xD I hated when they pulled the HF collection all because some of the Midge dolls didn't had rings and some parents thought it was inappropriate for a Barbie to be pregnant. I thought that was the coolest thing as a kid and I had the entire set.

Man I wish Mattel woy lil d make the older Barbies. I dont like the newer ones hardly at all due to the cheap materials they use. By the way I love ty our dolls

I know what you are talking about. This specific one had a weird problem with the rubber used for her legs and almost always ended up with 'pale' splotches all over her legs. Happened to a couple of my california dream barbies as well.
Why was the Brunette Barbie less expesnsive ? that's actually racsit I grew up in the early 2000s I know Barbies have always shown white superior aryans with blond hair and blue eyes I remember they priced Teresa and Christie less the Barbie.
