    • How To Do Ring Muscle ... (My Ring Muscle Up Playlist)
Do you have one ring muscle up but can't figure out how to string them together? In this video I go over 5 tips to get you linking 2, 3, 4... #muscleups in a row!
    First up, in order to string muscle ups together, we need to look at a few aspects;
    1. You need to be able to perform at least one #ringmuscleup
    2. Without having to use the false grip!
    3. Pay attention to how you 'fall out' from the top of the rep - are you doing the dreaded 'dead drop'?
    4. Learn how to re-kip into the next rep efficiently and smoothly
    5. Use your head during the #transition to 'smash the glass'!
Here are some of the topics I cover in this video -
    00:00 Ben's intro
00:57 Pre-requisites for linking ring muscle ups
    02:33 Lose the 'Dead Drop'
03:50 How to re-kip and generate more momentum
10:00 How to use your head!
    RMU FAQ
Why is it so hard to string together ring muscle ups?
I actually find that reps 2 or 3 are EASIER than the first due to the momentum built from falling away at the top - BUT you have to learn that skill first before it can help you. (watch to find out how!)
Can I string together ring muscle ups with the false grip?
It's almost impossible to keep hold of the false grip on the way back down, so it's ideal to learn the skill of kipping without a false grip before thinking about linking them.
I push away at the top of each rep but it makes my RMU all jerky - how do I fix this?
You could be doing what I call 'folding' and that is letting your feet stay too high in the air. (05:30) Try to stay hollow and avoid closing the angle of the hip. Another thing to look out for is that your feet don't rise above your head.

A great cue is wear a shirt with hood and try to put the hood in the head throughout the head movement. I discover this cue teatching exactly this head transition

My favorite cue was when they at the L1 told me to pull to below the chest in my strict MU, I went home and did it the day after

I’m still working on increasing my sets. One que that helped me a lot was to look directly up at the ceiling immediately before the transition. I think it helped a lot in making the transition/sit-up portion more aggressive and therefore more affective. Thanks for the video - can’t wait to give it a go tomorrow.

Breaking the glass with my forehead and getting rid of the death grip was the key for me thanks Ben.

Great video - thank you! For the "using your head" I like to give people a backwards hat and tell them to throw it off during the transition. So like the sunglasses cue, but not breaking sunglasses.

Great vid Ben 🙌🏻 best on the internet! 2 Questions...do you have a go to warm up for rmus? Any special conditioning you do to help your hands to take the punishment? Many thanks and keep up the great vids! 🤙🏻

Just got my first ring muscle up and now looking to string them together. I already fall exactly how you said to fall and use a normal grip so guess I'm already one step further.

Love the comment about the grip, I think that’s what I’ve been doing wrong when trying to connect them. I’ve got to loosen my grip and let my hand glide freely.
My cue was “pop your hips”

Great video thank you. There’s no other like it. Can you give me some advice on frequency of practice? Assuming I have no restraints, 2 x a week perhaps?

So I can do a couple ring muscle ups, but only with a really tight kip and a false grip. I cant for the life of me do the "rowing" ring mu. Whats up with that?
