There is a newer version on balancing and more bug fixes which is v5.4.4, please do update it whenever you have time.
As always, preferred with creating new profile and moving your old world over, moving waypoints are no problem too, and remember to make a back up before doing all that.
Remember, if there is anything that caused by technical issue resulting in your death, there is no problem going into creative mode or using cheat to get back your stuff, it is totally fair for everybody to do that.
The modpack isn't perfect and there are always unforeseen issue/bugs, you deserve to treat yourself better when something bad happens out of your control.
I hope you have a safe journey to reach your final destination, the laboratory and the military base.
P/S: Remember to delete your /world/serverconfig folder so it can regenerate new config files, there are some buff changes on first aid applying speed.

@@CaptainSparklez2 Yes I did and I saw the disaster, it is unfortunate but there is nothing I can do on the world gen, despite having the discussion with lost cities author having multiple optimization, it is still not enough because of the city generation are quite expensive :(

@@CaptainSparklez2 You should look at making flares from the DRG Flares mod. They are fairly cheap and you get 32 per craft. They're a Throw and Forget temporary light source and I find them to be very bright.
Cap, you should make a lunchbox as it helps store large amounts of food. You can eat straight from it, and it cycles between what you have stored, maximising the bonuses to eating well
Just had a realization, whats stopping you from cheesing horde nights by just having a floating (potentially HOA violating) base. Seems like an easy way to combat hordes
It's an HOA violation so it's not allowed, I will have to have supports. And also some way to access it lol
@@CaptainSparklez2 you could do supports and a create elevator to reach the top. although the zombies can climb on top of eachother, which is how they get across the moat.

So that giant skyscraper building everyone keeps mentioning that you stopped yesterdays stream at? totally worth it, there is a hidden room in the underground garage at the bottom that has iron blocks, quartz blocks, netherite block, and an Ender Chest :) dont forget that after looting the building... i got so much money LOL. (i got lucky and had 2 spawn in one of the 3 local cities I spawned in)

At the time of posting, 9x19 parabellum bullets are about $0.25 per round, whereas in the apocalypse here, they're going for $0.75 per round, so quite a bit of a markup, but that probably makes sense for the end of the world
You could put water streams a block underneath the barbered wire and have it all lead to a hopper/chest system in your basement so you can collect loot from hoards passively
Could possibly also be used to move mobs that are in the barbed wire and maximize the number of zombies taking damage at the same time
bruh, the end of this episode gave me the heeby jeebies. a character exploring the city and their skin crawling from a bad gut feeling before the blood moon rises is crazy. and then the running with the line "the earth is upset, the earth is angry" so good
want to make it a comic

Really enjoy the videos. One thing I noticed that you haven't done is clear and all the area out around your house of trees and leaves. If you do that then you would be better off cuz you have straight up line of sight that can do long-range removals of the zombies

seeing that the weird ways jardon uses the create stuff sometimes makes me scream internally.
the difference between the small and big waterwheels is double the stress at half the rotations speed. so if you use a rotation speed controller anyways, using big waterwheels is a waste of wood.
the input for the rotation speed controller does not have to be at the speed controller directly, it can also be on the big cog on top of it.
You get double the su so it's not a waste

I come from twitch to say, you really need to make a lunchbox.
Get the metal fence from the first tall hospital and put it in a ring on the inside of the moat to minimise jumpers. Also maybe barbed wire on the perimeter of the roof?!
Build a base on a island above the subway, then build a elevator joining the subway to the base, then you can build the garage and petrol filling in the subway

Not sure if it is because of the new version or what, but natural zombie spawns seem to be extremely high.
As in I am in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the day, and getting swarmed by zombies every few minutes.
It's like it is a blood moon, all day, every day. Even during the grace period.
I literally see them spawn, like 20 blocks away from me, in groups of 3-5 at a time.
Best comparison I can make is that they spawn as if it were raining, except it happens in broad daylight.
gotta tell you again, the mobs get harder every new day gets.

Decided to play this myself actually, and found the same structure as you and tried the moat thing out.
Its best that you, instead of trying to hug it, make a big ol rectangle around the house so that you don't get those awkwardly placed fence post areas where the zombies can vault over. Also adding a second layer of barb wire level with the fencing stops them right in their tracks it they *do* try to fault like really painful cobwebs...
makes for a good farm if you have a magnet

1:03:16 yeah, thats a trick I learned reaaally early, on, Hoard bulding spawns only spawn right outside tbe building itself. So if you get in and take out the spawners you're generally good.
Great video as usual. You should make a road from your house to the city so you can drive to and from the place and put barbred wire at both ends and along the way

Captainsparklez, you should go find a Hybrid Timber Tower which is the tallest tower that looks like wood, on the map in kinda looks like a crafting table grid.
You should definitely, DEFINITELY make that flamethrower, the wheezers that keep blowing fumes at you die instantly when set on fire.
Re: the horde and the moat - I think they walked over the zombies in the pit when the pit was "full"

Just make a floating island...high enough the big guys can't reach, put a bit of water at bottom to jump off, maybe some barbwire around bottom and you should be safe. I wish it were possible to make floating islands in a real apocalypse if that ever happened lol
if you want to get quartz you can use quartz blocks in the cutting board

Captain, how about for the Space Needle: Make a slightly derelict version of ScamTDM's tower from the Shady Oaks era XD
If you carry around red wool or any other bright colored block you could maybe put a X on top of any building you finish looting so on your mini map you could see which buildings you've looted

it seems like the "body parts health" issue on relog is worse than just having it reset to base values; it looks like body parts ALSO cannot heal naturally until manually modified (by damaging/healing them), you can see that with your left foot that ends up being your only fully healed part after you broke it by falling into the smaller moat.
Is it just me but when cap was taking about making a base in the sky the only thing I could think of was Kami's lookout
From the villager's perspective, nothing has changed. They're still just trying to trade items in a world overrun with zombies.
there are no buildings specializing in IE but alot of thar larger buildings contain IE machines, the megatower for example has the IE diesel generator (aswell as a bunch of create pipe stuff)
there should be a tunnel almost directly under your house if you follow the grid pattern

Its a loosing gamble to expect him to remember, hopefully someone in a stream remembers that and tells him. He'd probably get distracted and completely forget about it before he can use it tho lol

make a tower a high tower than you can use lava and water or whatever as defense let them come in and drop the lava on them from above and At the top it is safe to have the important things there, such as meat and things that you may need for a fight and bed
Add hoppers to the mote and add some chest so you can collect the drops with out killing your self on barb wire
Feel like a create wood farm into auto stick production belt that feeds into a hopper that connects to the auto trader easy villager block with a fletcher is easy unlimited money that doesn't require much work. 32 sticks for one dollar seems like a bad deal but it takes not much work to make this automated unless this mod pack nerfs this somehow

@captain sparkelz the big wooden skyscrapers have some of the best loot in them. Also the if u do decide to go to the waste land only use guns no swords or yourll get one shot

Jardoon Sparklez, I mean this in the nicest way but what is the actual chance you make base version 2.0? It’s always the plan in the modpacks and most times I’ve seen you end up just expanding base 1 out, and I love that and the character it then has. Just saying, putting off base upgrades for some future base when the sunk cost is lurking ready to keep you here might just slow you down
I do want to say, I don't like first aid for how buggy it is and how its mechanics really don't play nice with minecraft enemies' AI and attack method. I just have it outright disabled.
If easy villagers is in the pack why not go converter(for cheep ammo) or fletcher=cash? Or where those nerfed? Or the farmer?

Can someone help me out please, I've been playing this modpack since I saw Jardon playing it however whenever it's night time in the pack it's literally pitch black and I can't see a thing. I've been researching and people mention 'true darkness' setting but I can't find it anywhere so could really use some help. It's not like that for Jardon so there must be a way to prevent the darkness
